Chapter 148 - Foolishness

"Like us all, huh?" Aaron asked, watching as his body slowly got closer and closer to Alec, almost as if Alec was being forced to draw this out for as long as possible as the sun grew on the horizon, spreading it slight everywhere. "Well, I guess that makes sense. There was the situation on that planet, and now we're here, having argued with a being of similar power to you, and somehow a war hasn't started. Not even a fight has taken place. It's like it never happened, but we now know who's more easily agitated."

Aaron looked through his own eyes once more, just to see everything, but he was met with a strange sight in his vision. He saw what appeared to be a man riding on his monsters through the air like it was a surfboard. Aaron stared closer, and as the man came into focus, he realised who it was.

"Barold! Barold Jenkins!" Aaron yelled out in his head, shocking N. "You know that guy?" He asked in confusion, curious as to hell that happened. "I had an interesting conversation with him in the past. Yell out to him in my voice, and just tell him hi. That's all you should say."

Aaron's arm squeezed out from beneath the grip of the tentacle as he began to wave at Barold. "Hey, Barold! Down here!" N forced Aaron's body to yell out, using Aaron's voice to grab his attention. Barold looked down towards where the noise had come from. He saw a person made entirely out of a black material waving and yelling out to him. The only reason he could see him was because of the rising sun behind his own back, but that voice...wait a minute. "Aaron?!" Barold exclaimed in shock, wondering what the hell was going on. He flew himself down closer to the ground, right beside the ever-moving tentacles. He knew the voice, but the person using it wasn't clothed in armour. "What the hell happened to you?!"

"Would you mind if I spoke for a bit?" Aaron asked N, who was entertained by this little encounter. "Sure, go ahead. I've set it so that you can actually move your mouth now. That's the only physical control you have. At least for another six hours." N admitted, handing over vocal control to Aaron. He wanted to see what was going to happen.

"Hey, Barold! Yeah, it's me, Aaron!" Aaron replied, making sure that it was working. "Yeah, it's a long story, but here's the gist. I'm trying to save, or kill, that monster, which is classified as a god in terms of power, who is actually a child who had his seal forcefully broken." He explained, summarising the past few hours in a paragraph.

"Well, thanks for the summary, but would you mind explaining what happened to your skin? Surely you didn't look like this before, right?" Barold asked, causing N to take vocal control for a minute. "No, he doesn't usually look like this, but I'm controlling his body and helping him defeat this child. My name is N. Nice to meet you." N spoke up, shocking Barold. Two people in one body? Absolutely absurd. "Now, I'm going to start using his amazing body to its upper limits, so get prepared to see some violence," N warned Barold, causing him to jump away, which was a wise decision. Aaron's body lifted his arm into the air slammed it down with incredible force, creating a small shockwave in the place where he hit the tentacle.

The tentacle broke off, allowing Aaron to just slide out from its grasp. Aaron's body jumped away quickly as a portal appeared above his head. He pointed it towards Alec as thousands of lances poked their heads out from the black abyss. Each was made out of pure flames, giving them a blue body with a white-hot tip. Aaron's finger closed, and the many thousands of flaming spears shot at Alec, piercing through his tentacles like they were butter. The spears shot through Alec's tentacles, and for a second, it looked like nothing happened. Once that singular second was up, thousands of holes appeared on Alec's body, tentacles mostly. Most of his tentacles fell off, crashing onto the already destroyed city of Spert, letting dust particles fly into the air.

Alec himself got a singular hole through his chest, causing him to cut off all his tentacles by himself. He needed to preserve as much energy as he could for himself, and if that meant losing his tentacles, he was going to lose them.

Alec fell to the ground, creating a surprisingly powerful slam as he crashed into the ground. Aaron was surprised at the destruction from him simply hitting the earth, but this was his chance. He could save Alec! Barold was just confused as all hell. Suddenly, an inhumane screech was heard from the city, scraping the eardrums of people miles away. Alec's body floated into the air as his body began to mutilate even further. It bent his body in ways unimaginable, twisting and turning it to make it into a new vessel.

His scars from the laceration he got while the tentacles burst from his body were now healed completely, but now tentacles had burst through his back, taking the shape of moving purple wings. It was almost as if this was the second phase of a boss battle. Alec's body straightened up as he opened his eyes, only to show completely black eyes. He had no control over himself.

"I must admit, I am impressed. To think that another person had power equal to my first phase. Whoever you are, coated in black, I commend you. I now have to take a front seat in how this all plays out. You were foolish enough to not allow me to kill you, so I shall make your suffering eternal. Your foolishness will be the thing that ends you. Oh, how sad it must be!" Alec's voice rang out in an almost choir-like tone.

"For you, that is."
