"Oh? You want to leave? Well, I can't blame your decision. It would be cruel of me to force you to travel alongside me if you didn't want to," Aaron responded, understanding why Alec wanted to leave. "So I'm just letting you know now. If you ever want to continue travelling with me, just come find me. You'll find out my location eventually, so don't be afraid to come looking."
"I'll be back to travel again. I just need some time to sort out my head and to check up on my family. I just want to make sure that they are safe, you know?" Alec reasoned, causing Aaron to nod his head. "I get what you mean. I never had a family I could call my own. Well, except my parents, but they aren't around anymore. It's been a while since I've seen them. I wonder if I could go back..." Aaron contemplated, causing curiosity to well up within Alec. "Hmm? What do you mean by 'You wonder if you could go back'? Surely you could go back and see them, right?" Alec questioned, making Aaron let out a sigh. "Well, things are slightly complicated between us and that one encounter I mentioned earlier. Plus, I'm a skeleton, so they probably wouldn't recognise me. It'd probably scare them, seeing me like this." Aaron responded, remembering his parents. He couldn't remember much about them, except through some memories from his childhood.
A playground...swings and slides...his parents. He couldn't remember their faces. They were obscured by a black tar, but it wasn't his God-Eater. It was almost like somebody was trying to hide his memories. He went through all the memories he had with his family. It was just him, his mother, and his father. He couldn't remember their names, but he knew that he should know. If it was just forgetting them and their names, they wouldn't appear at all in his memories, but it was just the faces that were gone. He couldn't understand why.
'Memica, can you explain to me why my memories are preventing me from seeing my mother?' Aaron asked Memica, who was just as confused as him.
[Honestly, I don't know. The black tar has been there since I've been here. I've tried removing it, and whenever I've almost destroyed it, it suddenly just stops me from moving it, and it slowly spreads. I stopped poking at it, and it's stopped spreading. I don't know why it's here or where it's from, but it's certainly here for a reason.] Memica responded, leaving Aaron confused. He couldn't understand why it was here either, so he was just stuck. He needed to find out how to remove it, but he didn't know how, as if the system couldn't, he didn't have a hope.
"Well, I hope you'll be able to meet up with your parents soon, but I need to check on mine! Well, singular parent. I'll hopefully see you again, Aaron!" Alec said as he began jogging out of the cave, the entrance cleared of dark smoke. They had been travelling through a repeating corridor the entire time they were walking. Aaron watched as Alec disappeared into the night, a sigh escaping his mouth. "You know, I admire his courageousness. He has the guts to travel in the dead of the night just to see his mother. I like how he operates." Aaron admitted as Monument stood beside him. "He has guts. I bet you also didn't you the latent power he had, did you?" Monument slyly commented, drawing Aaron's attention.
"What do you mean by that, Monument? What 'latent power' do you speak of?" Aaron asked in confusion, confirming a theory Monument had. "So, you can't see the power inside of someone unless you're paying attention. That's completely understandable, but I'm somewhat surprised. The child has had his power sealed away. If he was to unlock that power, he could theoretically defeat you in a fight." Monument explained, sending a shock down Aaron's spine. He wasn't expecting to hear that. "Really?! Even if I went full power?" Aaron replied, his voice surprised. "Well, if the power you showed us there was your full power, then he'd defeat you without a doubt unless you had a way to instantly kill him, but even so, I'd be willing to bet that it wouldn't work," Monument stated, shocking Aaron to the core. "As I'm willing to bet that Alec would have an ability that could destroy planets. As, if you remember, he did say that he'd get increasingly powerful with each attack dealt, so if Alec didn't die from one of your attacks, he'd just get stronger and stronger until you couldn't deal with him anymore."
"Well, that's absolutely terrifying. I didn't think a human would have such power hidden within them." Aaron commented, feeling rather impressed by Alec's hidden power. If it were to be unsealed, and he absorbed him, would he just gain the ability to get even powerful than if he was still sealed? Theoretically, he could become the most powerful being in all of existence, and he'd just walk through it like it was nothing. It made him curious. "I know exactly what you're thinking, Aaron. No absorbing the child unless it's to stop him from unsealing his power." Monument warned Aaron, who just looked at him in amusement. "I was thinking about absorbing him when he was unsealed, Monument! Still, unsealing him before then wouldn't be the best idea, as I wouldn't be able to get his sealed strength." Aaron reasoned, causing Monument to think about it. "Not a bad idea."
Alec walked through the night with the only thing on his mind being reaching Spert so that he could see his family again. He was excited to see his mother again, but he felt a cold wind fly down his back, causing him to shiver. Something was up. He could feel it. He needed to check on his family. "Something's wrong...I can feel it."
