Chapter 121 - Black Hole Testing

"So, now you know my abilities," Aaron confirmed, leading Alec to nod his head in agreement. "So, what abilities do you have?" Aaron asked, curious as to the abilities of Alec.

Alec looked worried for a second, but he decided to tell him and deal with the aftermath later. "As a child, I gained an ability that made me the target for power-hungry organisations. It's an ability that is essentially only an upside for me," Alec explained, grabbing the full attention of Aaron. "It allows me to gain strength by duelling against other people. By that, I mean that by experiencing pain, I get stronger. The stronger the blow, the stronger I become permanently, comparing my strength to the strength of the attack. It works for both physical and mental attacks.

"Oh? That's a unique ability. You're almost like an adaptive and responsive punching bag. I wouldn't punch you myself right now, as I believe if I were to punch, you might die," Aaron commented while wondering something. "Alec, could you withstand the punch of a guardian?"

Alec looked shocked that Aaron would even suggest such an idea so early on. "No! At least, not until I get much stronger." Alec responded with a curious tone. He was confused about what was going through Aaron's mind.

Currently, Aaron was contemplating whether he should steal what Alec used and try to fuse it to his soul. It might be worth trying. "Alec, how about you show me an example of your ability? I want to see if you can use it for what I think you can."

"Uh...sure? Throw an attack at me, and I'll see what I can do with it, I guess." Alec replied, somewhat fearful of what Aaron was going to do. Aaron laughed. "You have guts, Alec! Don't worry about it. I won't fire a strong attack at you."

Aaron made a little purple sphere float in front of him. It wasn't at all strong, as Aaron was pushing his magic power as low as he could, almost getting it to zero strength, but then it'd have no effect. However, this still meant that it'd be a powerful shot, considering Aaron's 'God Power'. Aaron watched as the sphere shrunk, as gravity started to turn in towards in. Aaron fired it off, watching as his ball of gravity slowly floated over to Alec.

"Go forth, Miniature Black Hole! Show him a fraction of my power!" Aaron said, unable to control himself. He didn't know why he said that, but it just felt right. After all, he needed to give some indication of what he was doing.

"A fraction?!" Alec yelled out, watching as the colour from the world was sucked into the black hole, leaving only him and the black hole in his vision. Aaron had made a certain radius around him, and Alec, become purely white. Like an infinite cube from the inside. He watched as Alec stared directly into the purple sphere. The sphere hit him in the chest, sending a shock through Alec's body. He grabbed onto the ball, watching as it expanded, consuming his hands like it was nothing. He wasn't being pulled into the black hole, however, but it felt like his hands were getting shredded to pieces. He screamed and tried to pull his hands out, but they were stuck. Almost like someone was keeping them in there.

Aaron watched Alec struggle as Aaron used his Boundless Telekinesis to keep Alec's hands inside the ball. It was for his own good. Once this was over, there were two outcomes, both favourable. He either got more powerful, or he got stronger AND learned that improvised skill. Either result was good.

Aaron watched as the purple sphere began to contract as Alec's hands stayed in place. Aaron saw his hands were cut to pieces as blood dripped from his hands. Alec looked at his hands, and his pupils shrunk. He let out a scream, falling over as he tried to stop the bleeding coming from his hands. Aaron rushed over to him, extending his hands. Using his Boundless Telekinesis, he reverted Alec's hands to their original state.

"So, how was that, Alec?" Aaron asked Alec with a curious tone in his voice. "That 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘡," Alec commented while looking at his hands in amazement. A few seconds ago, his hands were bleeding, and now they were fine. He couldn't understand how or even why they were, but he wasn't going to complain. After all, it's better than bleeding all over the place.

"I would have guessed it would have hurt, but how do you feel? Do you feel any stronger? Can you use the ability I threw at you?" Aaron inquired, curious as to how Alec's power gain worked. "Uh...I'm not sure. Let me try for you." Alec responded, standing up. He extended his hand, closing his eyes in the process. In his hand, a small purple sphere began to form. Aaron looked on in amazement as Alec flung the ball forward. The miniature black hole went about ten meters away before violently expanding, devouring everything it touched. It sucked up everything in a five-meter radius, leaving a crater in the ground where it landed.

The sphere dropped to the ground as a crystal orb, and just as Alec was about to go pick it up, it cracked, letting out a powerful explosion. Aaron watched as the blast went 1.5 times the distance of the original expansion, creating an explosive radius of 7.5 meters. It was a powerful attack, but there was something off.

"Alec, that was a miniature black hole, but here's the thing. You used the ability it derives from, which I call Black Hole Explosion, which has a higher strength factor, and a second stage where it explodes. Your ability allows you to get stronger and utilise the original forms of attacks, but not with any specialised used. It's a general-purpose attack and defence mechanism." Aaron explained, gaining Alec's full attention.

"You don't realise how strong that ability truly is, do you?"
