Chapter 107 - Your Worst Nightmare

"Huh? I don't think I heard you right! I think I heard you calling me an idiot, which is surely not what you said, right?" The woman asked with a sneer on her face. It was punchable, and Aaron REALLY wanted to punch something. He wasn't sure why, but something about her face made him want to punt her three miles away. "No, you heard me right. I called you an idiot. It is what you are." Aaron responded, calming his voice down a little bit. Aaron took a look at the woman in full detail. She was wearing light iron armour on her chest, wrists, and legs, with hair white, almost snowy. Honestly, the woman just appeared to be an average female adventurer. Aaron wondered why she was so cocky. The people around the area winced as they began to feel energy emanate from the woman. The armoured adventurer had made a mistake, and it was probably going to cost him his life.

"Oh, you think you're SO great, huh? Legally, you have to fight other summoners on sanctioned ground and training areas, but I honestly couldn't care! Nobody has the power to stop me, and so, I'm going to kill you. You don't speak to somebody above you unless you're told to, especially if it's an insult!" The woman yelled out, getting pissed. "Wow. You have absolutely no anger control, do you?" Aaron taunted, placing his hands on his hips. This action further enraged the white-haired woman. She rushed towards Aaron, appearing to everybody else as a blur. She had summoned a monster that boosted her speed, which instead of using for travelling, she used to hurt people. Aaron only saw her as a slow-moving entity. Aaron had the stats of a god, considering he had used God-Eater on Monument.

Monument proposed, causing Aaron to think. 'Sure! What do you have in mind?' Aaron responded.

Monument advised, making sure Aaron didn't go overboard. Aaron heeded the advice and walked over to the slowly moving woman, a smile in his mind since he couldn't actually smile. Aaron may be a pacifist most of the time, but there are times when you need to get things DONE. Aaron slowly punched downwards, moving about a centimetre a second, aiming towards her back instead of her neck so that he'd have a much bigger target.

The punch landed, and Aaron stopped using his speed advantage against the woman, looking at the ground beside him shatter as the woman slammed into it. The area where she landed began to fill up with smoke made of dust as Aaron stood beside the growing pile of smoke with a gleam in his eyes. There were no eyes to cause said gleam, but a skeleton could dream!

Aaron looked as a shadow rose from the cloud of smoke, in the shape of the woman. Her eyes glowed red, almost like she was humiliated. Aaron watched as four almost-humanoid figures appeared behind her. As the smoke cleared, Aaron saw the humanoids for what they were. Demonically-possessed monsters. Each of them were normal monsters, but they were then amplified by the strength of a demon. A notoriously dangerous thing to do, considering the success rate. 1-5%, at its best. She must have really gone all out trying to get these monsters.

"Demons, huh? You do realise that they provide no help to you at all once I get even remotely serious, right?" Aaron mockingly stated as he lifted his hand into the air, causing a black portal to open up above him. "Just to prove my point, I'm going to summon something just to destroy you and to show how far apart we are in power."

A skeleton dropped to the ground. To everyone else, it appeared to be a basic skeleton, which caused the woman to start laughing hysterically at the apparent weakness of the monster. "You really think THAT thing can beat me?! You must be out of your mind!" She screeched, pointing her finger at the skeleton. It caused one of the demonic monsters to rush towards Aaron's summoned monster with a flame-covered fist. The punch landed, and the woman just smiled and laughed, her face towards the sky. She stopped laughing when she looked back at the skeleton, only to see it not only alive but choking the demonic monster with a single hand, lifting it into the air like it was nothing.

"How?! It's just a skeleton! How is it choking my demon?!" The woman screamed, rushing towards the skeleton, trying to prise its hands from the other monster's neck, but failing. Aaron watched as the demon fell unconscious. "Drop him," Aaron told the skeleton. Aaron watched as he dropped the unnamed demon, letting its head hit off the ground. "Good."

"How...how DARE you!" The woman yelled, rushing towards Aaron one more time, not activating her burst of speed. "You know, you should really know when you are outclassed, woman. This single choice has probably been your worst decision today." Aaron stated as he took of the arm-piece of his armour, revealing not a skeletal arm but one made of rocks. Aaron grabbed the woman by her head, lifting her into the air by her skull.

"You know, I did warn you. I'm going to give you a chance to escape. I will drop you. If you aren't out of my sight in ten seconds, you will die. You can return once I leave. What is your answer?" Aaron ominously asked, in plain view of the public. "Who..who are you, you MONSTER?!" The woman screeched into Aaron's face, causing him to recoil slightly from the noise. Aaron dropped the woman and stared down at her.

"I'm your WORST nightmare."
