"No...no...is...is that you...? Aaron?!" Crystet stuttered out, as he kept switching his view between Aaron and his parents. He couldn't believe this turn of events. First, there was Ray, and now Aaron?!
"In the corrupted flesh, Crystet," Aaron replied with a smug grin on his face. He was going to savour these moments. "How does it feel to be reunited with those you shared a dorm with? Who you were friends with?"
Crystet and Ray just stood beside each other in shock, wondering what the fuck was going on. They were confused as to what was going on. Let's clear it up.
Crystet was confused, and surprised, that Ray was back and that Aaron was the person who killed half of the world.
Ray was confused, and also surprised, that the monster standing beside him was Crystet, and that Aaron was the reason his parents were dead.
Aaron was the only one who wasn't confused. He was happy that his plan had succeeded, but he was also angry that Sciat had to die for it to work. He was so close to what he wanted, and the life he sacrificed won't get in the way. He just needs to hold back, after all.
"So? How does it feel, knowing that I was the one who did this? I specifically targeted everybody in the world with the last name Cast and Artemi, except for you two. Everyone else had a 50/50 chance, except for your family!" Aaron declared boldly. He needed to make Crystet and Ray get as riels up as possible. People fought more instinctively when they were mad, so this would give him a great advantage, and he'd still be able to overcome brute force.
Crystet looked down at the ground, unresponsive, yet Ray was different. Ray was shuddering a little bit. He tried to run forward and attack Aaron once again, but he felt his body being held down by gravity once more. He resorted to just looking like a pissed off Karen in a shop, but without the signature Karen haircut, but Aaron was able to imagine the haircut on Ray.
Crystet just stayed unresponsive, so Aaron decided to give him a little persuasion in activity. "If you won't acknowledge your surroundings, and the ones who surround you, they will always be hurt by your inattentiveness!" Aaron yelled as he charged up his eyes, forcing them to turn a neon pink colour. Two thin beams of corruption went flinging from his eyes, going through the forehead of Crystet's father, leaving Crystet and the other 'real' family members in shock.
The family members consisted of the crippled mother, the grandparents, and Crystet's brother and sister, who said everything they wanted to when Crystet was experiencing phonophobia. However they were now looking at the dead body of their father, and they screamed in fear, trying to run away, but they were also being held down by gravity meaning that despite their screams, and their will to get out of that area, they couldn't. They were being held in place by Aaron, and they couldn't move. It was torture for them. The grandparents had fainted and were lying in a pool of the father's blood. They couldn't believe this situation. In their memories, they were inside the house, and now they were in a black castle, with their son in front of them.
"Crystet...is that you?" The mother asked, scared for herself, the family, and most importantly Crystet. "Is that you, with your blue eyes and strangely black skin?"
Crystet looked up, finally paying attention to what was going on, after having a long drawn out mental argument with himself. He looked at his father, and it just made him have more resolve in the solution and decision he had made with himself.
What was that decision?
It was to kill Aaron, even if it cost him life.
What made him come to this decision? Well, it was one he had decided on since he saw his parents dead. He just had a chance now, and it didn't matter what his parents, or, well, parent, would say. There would be more blood spilt tonight, and it would be Aaron's. He had only known him for around two days, yet here they were.
Aaron noticed the presence in the air shift. Someone was prepared for murder, and he could tell who it was. He had something in store for him, however.
"Oh? Someone's feisty today! I have a deal for you, and it's one you might like. If you kill your family RIGHT now, I'll let you come at me with all the force you want. I won't hold you back using gravity. Sound like a good deal?" Aaron offered, wondering how far Crystet had gone in his mental preparations. Crystet was not prepared for this at all, but not in the way you'd expect.
He was surprised that Aaron was being generous with his deal. He was going to be forced to kill his parents anyways as part of a punishment, so he was getting rewarded for being punished. Sounds weird when put that way. He looked over to his family, who just smiled and nodded back to him. They knew what he was doing. He was getting permission. The kids were understandably scared, but they knew what had to be done.
Crystet started to create a giant block of ice above his family, almost resembling a glacier. Once it was created, he lifted his hand into the air. With his eyes closed, he pulled his arm down and was greeted with the sound of bones crushing, almost like the adventurers outside. It was an unpleasant noise.
Aaron smiled, impressed at Crystets commitment to his decisions. It was pleasant to see somebody sticking to their little inner guide. Aaron turned off the Gravitational Manipulation for both Crystet and Ray, as he grabbed his sword from beside his throne.
"Now, come and have a go, if you think you're hard enough!"
