Aaron looked upon the Queen as she fell unconscious, and all he could do was smile. She had a decent Ki Ability, yet lost. Did it show HIS strength or HER weakness? He didn't know. All he knew was that the old king was dead. There was nothing to stop him from simply taking over the castle, so he had decided to do that. He walked up to the throne of the old king and pulled his corpse from the seat. It landed on the floor and began deflating like a whoopee cushion. Aaron found out why once he looked at the seat. Due to the way the king had been killed, his organs had escaped through a hole in his back. Aaron wondered why he hadn't sagged while in his seat, but this was no time to be contemplating such things. He grabbed all of the organs and scattered them onto the ground in front of him.
Aaron jumped onto the seat, trying to imagine himself as a king, but failed. "A phoney king...heh. I was never destined to be royalty, but being here will give the impression that I am all-powerful, so I should go along with it. I know better than anyone that I can be injured. That's why I took care of Jacob, after all." Aaron commented on himself. He felt like he was forgetting something, but he just could remember what. Then it hit him. He looked at the entrance of the Throne Room and saw Sciat leaning against a wall. Aaron had completely forgotten that Sciat was even there, but it was a nice surprise to see he hadn't walked away. "Hey Sciat, what did you think of that little incident?" Aaron asked, looking for an honest opinion. "Well, if you want my true opinion, I'm curious as to why you didn't just use the same technique on her as you did the entire world," Sciat replied, curious as to what was going on in the mind of Aaron. "It would have been much easier to just kill her by snapping your fingers."
"Well, where the fun in that, eh? There isn't any point in doing this if I can't enjoy myself while doing so, is there?" Aaron responded. Sciat wasn't able to respond to that, so he just bent his head down, and didn't say a word in response. Aaron was glad, as there was something else he wanted to do. He pulled up his system menu and went over to the tab which read "Corruption Spread".
'System, could you explain what this does? I know it's to help me make an army, but what does it do?' Aaron asked the system. The system almost let out a proud little huff, as if it was just waiting for Aaron to ask this question.
[Well, Aaron, it does exactly what it says. It spreads corruption, but it spreads corruption to anything you want, and there are even different levels of corruption for different things!] The system responded, almost as if it was feeling happiness at the fact that it could explain what it had made. It must have been proud of it.
'Anything? So that means that I could turn this castle into something much less...bland? If so, that's amazing, System!' Aaron responded, and the system seemed to let out a little mechanical laugh. Interesting. The system seems capable of feeling emotions, although Aaron wasn't sure to what degree. He needed to experiment more with that.
[Anyways, if you want to transform the castle that you are in right now into something much more impressive, all you have to do is put your hand to the ground, and I'll help guide you through the process of doing it.]
'Alright, thanks, system. Now, explain to me how we would get this done.' Aaron responded, genuinely curious as to what the system had made for him.
[Alright, so, all you really need to do is think about a certain level and thing you want to corrupt, while touching the object you want to corrupt. Each level grants different effects based on the amount of corruption you choose to infect them with, but the more you infect it, the stronger the effects get.]
"Alright, that makes sense. Give me a second. I want to see if I can transform this whole castle in a single attempt." Aaron said out loud, which confused Sciat, as he wasn't talking to anyone. Aaron placed his hand on the ground, and then said a few words out loud, just to see if it would work.
"Castle, Full Corruption!" Aaron yelled, and for a second, it seemed as if nothing was happening, but then, a black aura began to swirl around Aaron, as corrupted energy began to condense, allowing him to do what he wanted. The aura then shot outwards, flying into the walls as if it was shrapnel from a bomb. The corruption started almost immediately after contact with the walls, as the building began to turn black, with the occasional area of dark-ish pink, just for that extra corrupted look to it.
Flames made out of pink light began appearing on the walls as if they were the replacement to the traditional flames. They were still extremely hot, however, reaching a temperature of 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit. It was a cool little feature that Aaron wouldn't have thought about by himself.
After about five minutes, the entire castle had been corrupted, which left Aaron amazed, as he didn't think that it would be done so quickly, but he was always open to surprises. They were a nice little way of him being reminded that he possibly wasn't the strongest or most intelligent person in the room.
Speaking of surprises, one was heading towards him right now. A girl was walking down the hallway, angry, and curious, as to what had happened to the castle. She opened up the door to the throne room, and a look of disgust and fear appeared upon her face, as she saw her father lying on the ground dead, and her mother lying on the ground, unconscious.
Aaron looked up from the ground, as he smiled the smile of a psychopath. "Oh, what a neat little surprise!"
