Chapter 67 - Sciat

Underneath the hotel, the sounds of gates crashing down shook the area, as the howls of the satanic mongrels known as Hell Hounds rang out. There was a ritual used many years ago, to the unknown times of the Hero, Yera, and the great war against the Monster Lord. He used it to summon thousands of monstrous dogs, which were used to face against the Hero. These were Hell Hounds, and they were absolutely savage. They attacked anything that moved, and would even attack their own kind on occasions.

Two Hell Hounds were situated under this building, having been placed there by the ceo of this specific location. He had convinced the overall ceo, also known as The Boss, to place in some self defence measures in case of a robbery, and this was the most dangerous one. He had found a whole bunch of them while out exploring, and, after calculating their numbers from a distance, and the amount of hotels he oversaw, he realised that he could put two under each hotel. Somehow, these ones had not been noticed until now, or, if they had, had been kept quiet about. Normal people didn't know about them, but the upper-ranking politicians did, including presidents, royalty, and others.

Each location had a different ceo, so, for example, if there were fifty hotels in Ireland, for instance, the ceo of the Ireland Branch would look over those. If seventy were in India, the ceo of the India Branch would oversee those ones. That's the kind of system they had going.

He had managed to successfully place two of them under each hotel without any legal issues, although there were many issues with convincing The Boss that it was a good idea. The boss only knew about these things because the ceo of the 'Yamato Branch' had informed him. He was completely against the idea, as he was worried about his sales going down if people were killed. The Ceo convinced him, after many hours of reassuring, that it would be fine. He brought up things like 'It'll only be a last resort' and 'people would already have to be dead for him to use it'. Well, at least he kept his word. People WERE dead.

The Hell Hounds were almost like lizards, but they were in the shape of dogs, and had flames lining their backs, almost as if they were like arches. They had forked tongues, like snakes, except for the fact that they were the thickness of a dogs tongue, but that didn't stop their teeth from being menacing. They had all of the teeth you would find on a normal dog, but they had been sharpened to extreme lengths, which made them almost look like razor blades.

Their tails were lit up with a flame at the end, but, this flame wasn't an indicator for their health, as one would think. It was an indicator for their strength. These Hell Hounds had a moderately sized flame for their species, so think about a lighter flame, but about ten times bigger.

They began to claw their way through the many floors beneath the hotel, also known as 'floors -1 to -5'. They only took around twenty seconds to get through each floor, so they'd be up at the fourth floor in 140 seconds, or two minutes and twenty seconds.

The light that shone in the hallway died out, as Aaron finally got a clear look of who he was dealing with, and, to his surprise, they looked as confused as he was. It was a demon, to be sure, but, to his absolute surprise, it was a male. He was relieved, to be honest. He wasn't sure if what was going to happen if it was a girl, but hey, at least that didn't happen. He were wearing a suit, which surprised Aaron, and it apparently surprised the demon aswell.

"What am I doing in this strange outfit..." The demon began asking to himself, before he noticed Aaron standing infront of him. "You! Was it you who put me in this attire!?" The demon yelled, which got a chuckle out of Aaron.

"I summoned you here, yes, but I didn't expect you to be wearing a suit! I didn't even know WHAT I was going to summon!" Aaron replied, going into a full-out laughter. It was funny to see the demon as confused as he was.

"Wait a second...you SUMMONED me here!? How did you do that!? You're just a child!" The demon asked, incredulously. He didn't expect a mere child to be able to summon things. "Well, you could say that I'm not your average kid. Summoning is a thing almost unknown of in this day and age, so it would obviously be shocking." Aaron answered, completely serious. He then looked at the words that were shining above the demons head. They read: 'Power Level: 15,679'. For comparison, Aaron's official power level was 1,502. That monster was, officially, ten times stronger than he was.

"Jesus! Your power level is insane! How's it get so high?" Aaron asked. "Natural talent." The demon deadpanned, not sure what else of an answer to give.

"Oh yeah, do you have a name? I need something to call you, after all." Aaron questioned. "Well, I did originally have the name Sciat, but since you summoned me, I'm forced to accept the name you give me, and to also treat you as a Lord, because that's what summons do." Sciat replied, curious as to what name Aaron would give him. "Well, you know what, you can keep your original name, Sciat. My name is Aaron."

"Thank you for giving me a familiar name, Lord Aaron." Sciat responded, but, just moments later, the sounds of footsteps slammed along the stairwell, as the two Hell Hounds let out a ferocious scream. They had finally been released from their little cell in the basement, and they were hungry enough to eat a child.

And that's what they planned to do.
