[Aaron, I have to ask...how the fuck did you mess up making a simple gem?]
'I...I don't know. I was imagining a gem, and then it just started to form like that. I was imagining something like a diamond, and here we are.' Aaron thought, sighing internally. How had he messed up so bad?
[Hidden Quest Completed]
[Create Something Without Using A Recipe]
[Reward: Five Novice Corrupted Gems]
'System, did you set up this hidden quest for me?' Aaron asked the system, as he doubted that this was just a hidden quest there.
[No, Aaron, I didn't. This was a quest that was automatically placed there once you first learned about the crafting tab, and was a quest that had progressive rewards, meaning that if you had crafted it later on, you might have gotten average crystals, rare crystals, and so on. You were just fortunate you got it now, because it wouldn't have helped much in the future, as it would still have only given you five.]
'Yeah, I guess that makes sense, but can you explain to me why it would have only given me fi-'
'Yera, you really had to pick the strangest time to show up again, didn't you?' Aaron spoke, putting on a fake angry tone.
'I won't ignore you if you speak, alright? You just had to pick the strangest time to show up, and now I've forgotten what I wanted to ask the system.'
'Well, it's called a gun. It, usually, fires bullets, and those bullets kill people, but I'm not sure about this one. I' m not sure if it fires actual bullets or some corruption stuff.'
'Actually, System, would you mind checking to see what the gun fires? A general description of the gun would also be nice.'
[Sure, Aaron. Since I have no idea what it does either, it'll be interesting for me to check out.]
After about ten seconds, a differently bracketed text box came up, which Aaron read, and was interested to see what it could do.
{Novice Corrupted Glock-17}
{Type: Gun}
{Damage: Non-lethal}
{This gun fires little shots of corruption, which act like a bullet in almost every way, except for when they land, they burst, only dealing impact damage, but no piercing damage.}
{Note: They do not require any items called 'Corruption Bullets', so think of it like a gun with no reloading and infinite ammunition.}
Aaron was quite shocked at this. He didn't expect an accidentally made item to be any good. He might need to mess up more in the future...
[Yeah...I didn't expect it to be that good, considering it to be a novice AND accidentally made weapon. It would be a good idea to use that in the future.]
'Yeah, I agree. It would be stupid to simply leave this weapon alone. Although, we do need to go out and get the stuff for the novice armour sets, because then, you know, we'll be fully protected in the nearby future. Even if this is still only the first day, we still need to be prepared for the future.'
[Alright, Aaron. First, we should make the mask, since we have both a mask and the crystal right now.]
'Good idea. Let's get started.'
Aaron navigated to the 'Ingredients' tab, where he saw the Mask he wore and the Novice Corrupted Crystal. He selected them both using his finger, and then he tapped onto the 'Craft' tab, where the Mask and the Gems were lit up in blue, which he thought was cool. He tapped on them again, and began dragging them over to the three by three Crafting menu, which really did resemble the Minecraft one, so he was familiar with it. He placed the mask in the centre, and one of the gems above it, and a blask mask with a gem in the forehead appeared in the little output box.
Aaron grabbed it, and, for a second, his face was visible, but then, a mask appeared on his face, looking almost identical to his original one, but it was completely black, and had a purple and pink gem in the forehead area. The first thing Aaron noticed, however, as that he was able to see through the walls of his dorm, almost as if they weren't there. Like they were ghostly walls. He thought about seeing the walls normally, and suddenly, they were like normal.
"Oh yeah, this is cool. There are so many dirty things I could do with this, but I won't. I'm actually a decent person. Although, there are definitely some people who would use this for some very questionable purposes." Aaron commented, instantly thinking of Ray for some odd reason. He probably should be a bit wary of him in the future.
After some internal dialogue between himself and himself, literally, he decided his next course of action, but he needed to find out how to find a specific person.
'System, would you mind telling me how to find "..."?'
[All you have to do to find him is walk around. He's probably in the common room right now, or in the infirmiary. Visit those places, and you'll probably find him.]
Aaron then stood up from his bed, not saying a word, as he went to the door. He had decided that he wanted to talk to some people, and, hopefully, encounter Jacob.
Why?
He wanted to hurt the bastard. He was still angry at him for the earlier events, and trust me, he wasn't easily forgiving.
It was also a great chance to chest out his new toy. He spun the gun around his tipped index finger, and left the room, a smile under his mask.
