Chapter 51 - Aaron what the fuck did you do

"Aaron what the fuck did you do?" Crystet yelled, turning his body towards Aaron, instantly blaming him, because he had JUST said he wouldn't explode anything.

"I didn't do anything! I didn't explode anything! Something blew up, but I wasn't the cause!" Aaron said, trying to convince Crystet that he hadn't done it, because, to his credit, he hadn't. This was just an unlucky coincidence. They saw smoke rising from some of the buildings in the distance. Aaron and Crystet looked at each other, and nodded, understanding eachother, and they both began to run towards the scene. People could be hurt, or even dead, so they wanted to minimise the fatalities to a minimum.

They rushed towards the smoke, as they saw people laying along the ground, some more injured than others, as quite the amount of them bled, due to their injuries. Aaron's mask appeared to gleam as they ran past the people, but nobody noticed. Crystet and Aaron were preoccupied with running, and the other people in the area were preoccupied with feeling intense amounts of pain. You know, what you do when you get injured badly by an explosion.

They arrived at the source of the explosion, which appeared to be the building of a company called Geico©, although Aaron didn't know what the company was about, although it sounded like some company which would offer you car insurance. They looked as the building was up in smoke, with fires burning along multiple floors. Another explosion occurred on one of the lower floors, and a person flew out of the window, falling towards the ground near Aaron. Aaron lifted up his hand, and activated his Boundless Gravitational Manipulation. He used his gravity manipulation to catch the man as he was falling, saving his life. He lightly placed the man on the ground, making sure that he wasn't too injured from the explosion. Once the man had stepped away a little bit, Aaron jumped up, using his Boundless Gravitational Manipulation to lift him into the air, to the window the man fell out of, as it had a large hole in it. He stepped inside, as Crystet rushed through the front door, and up an indeterminable amount of stairs to catch up with Aaron.

While he did that, Aaron walked around, noticing flames spreading everywhere. He was unsure if he should be here, but he needed to make sure that nobody was trapped here.

An explosion belted his ears to his right, as he saw a person walking through the flames. His eyes only saw a figure outlined by smoke at first, but then he saw the person. They were wearing fully black clothing, covering their body completely. Their face was covered by a black ski mask, with holes for the eyes and mouth alone. His hands appeared to be black with ash, but they weren't wearing any gloves.

They saw Aaron, and began smiling. A small child was just standing there? An easy kill! He extended his hand forward, as Aaron saw sparks appear in his outstretched palm. Aaron covered himself in a black dome made of corruption, only tall enough to cover his body, but also wide enough to cover the entire hallway, just in case, as he protected himself against the explosion.

The explosions rattled around him, but he wasn't injured from the blast at all, so that as good. He created an exit behind the sphere, and left from there, as he used the dome he had made as a distraction. He planned to jump over the dome and engage in physical combat with the person, but it appears that he didn't need to jump over the dome. The man had already jumped over it, as, since it was just tall enough to cover Aaron, he had been seen as he made his escape.

"So, you aren't a defenceless child, are you? Well, I'm sorry, but you have to die now. You saw me, and I can't have any witness-"

He was cut off, as he looked down towards his chest. A black spike had impaled him through the heart, as Aaron held his hand out, with the black spike extending from his hand. The man, realising what had happened, lifted up his hand, and let an explosion fly. Aaron's mask went flying towards the wall, as his body hit the same wall, face-first, yet the mask didn't break, unlike the cross incident. Because of this, he retracted the spike, pulling it from the man's chest, leaving a trail of blood. The man fell to the ground, as his body began bleeding out onto the floor, but, it didn't matter. He was already dead.

Crystet walked up the stairs at this current point, and saw Aaron against the wall, his head hanging down, as his mask was laid on the floor, glimmering in the light given by the flames. He grabbed the mask, as he picked Aaron from the wall, without looking at his face. He wanted to, but the life of someone was much more important. Too bad he hadn't stopped to see the dead person nearby.

He began running down the stairs that he had just run up, as he breathed in smoke. A good few lower floors had smoke in them, so the smoke just kept rising, as Aaron and Crystet were forced to breathe in. Aaron was disoriented after the explosion. It wasn't your average explosion. It somehow made him feel dizzy, and unable to move. Good thing the person who could use such an ability was dead, but he assumed that there would be more.

He did realise that he was holding something in his hands, as he found out, by holding it, that it was his mask, and, very slowly, he put it on. He didn't know if Crystet had seen his face or not, but it didn't matter to him right now. His mind felt like it was about to shut off, although he couldn't pinpoint why. As he finished putting his mask on, he felt something on the mask drop onto his face, and disintegrate, as his system sent him a message.

[Unknown Being has infiltrated the system. Preparing ejection of Unknown Being.]

Aaron then fell unconscious, as his brain sent him one singular word.

[Failed.]
