After having a very little sleep that night we all woke up at around thirty minutes past six. This time was too early for our family. We had cornflakes that morning, which was just our common breakfast. Though I and Ionen didn't sleep much that night, we were as excited and energetic as ever. We soon started our journey.'
As we reached there, we saw that a big maroon helicopter placed inside. The comrade and the troops were standing right below the helicopter with him. The Comrade warmly welcomed the both of us. We took off at around nine.
The journey was going on very pleasantly. The pilot was a good one. Ionen gave a walk around the helicopter. The interior was clean and full of bed sheets and places to sit. Ionen, after his walk came to me and said:
'He didn't listen to me, Mark. There are just thirty troops in here. Now a battle has to take place, and think, if Cruisons' team kills all the troops, even your and my life will be at risk.'
'Hey, really! The Comrade made a big mistake by not listening to you. Shit! Okay, at least we must not lose our hope. Why don't we just go and explain the thing to him?'
'Yeah sure, let's go.' said Ionen and we went up to The Comrade.
'Sir,' said Ionen 'you did the thing that I had forbidden you to do.'
'What?! Oh that thing! Don't worry about that Mr. Delbis. The Soviet Army is very strong.'
'They are, I know, I'm not talking about that. If you took seventy troops, a battle would surely not take place. As you took only thirty troops, a battle will take place and all of the lives will be at risk. If you took seventy, there wouldn't be even one life at risk.'
The Comrade thought quietly for about five seconds. Then he laughed out aloud and laughingly spoke out:
'The military skills and strength of The Soviet Army is very strong. None will die. We can easily do a bit of economics.'
'You're becoming very overconfident sir. I recommend you to get back the helicopter to Moscow, add some troops and then again return back.'
'What?! Are you crazy, sir?'
'No! It's you who is crazy. You're an animal more than a human. You don't deserve this post. You're a leader and a leader protects the ones under him, don't put them in risk just for some economics. As I return, I will ask General Richardson each and everything.'
The Comrade was as angry as ever. He was not finding words. He went to a table, held a revolver and pointed it straight at Ionen. He said:
'Not a single word more. Don't teach us what to do and what to not. You don't even have a degree. Don't dare to say the thing to The General.'
'I will do all the things that you told me not to, because what is wrong, is wrong.'
The Comrade didn't say a single word. He looked fiercely at Ionen for some time. Ionen looked straight at his eye. The comrade moved away and went to the back side of the vessel.
A man came to Ionen. He was seeming some sort of a medical man.
'The Comrade wouldn't take us. We quite forcefully came, because we knew by your words that The Comrade was up to a big mistake by taking less troops. There are five medical men here, including me. We will try our best to help you guys.'
'Thank you sir. But how did you know the words I said to the Comrade. Only four people were present that time.'
'Well sir, I am a good friend of The General. He said me about the entire thing and I came to know my purpose in this mission.'
'Well, I again thank you Doc sir.' said Ionen and The Doctor went away towards his colleagues.'
Days went by. We were over St. Petersburg. The scenario was awesome. We always had problem to sleep at night. I mean, we feel strange sleeping with unknown people in a small area. And then finally the day came. We were above the border.
We all were gazing out of the windows. The land was filled with white snow with a number of snow dunes. There were many igloos. I looked towards The Comrade. He was talking with a troop. The troop came to Ionen and asked:
'The Comrade is asking that how do we trace Cruisons' igloo among so many.'
'Tell The Comrade to take aim and land beside any igloo.'
'What, sir? We can't trace Cruisons by keeping on landing our helicopter.'
'Sir, you know this much that whatever I say, is the best way. Any other queries, ask Mr. Baron to come by himself and ask me and not to appoint agents like you for this work.'
The soldier went back and said the thing to The Comrade. The Comrade looked at Ionen for some time and then came to him.
'Can you explain the logic behind this plan of yours, Detective Delbis?'
'Yes, I will. You see the reason why Cruisons selected this place to hide in this place only? The reason is that in this place, people can't have any sort of phone, because either they are poor or have transport problems to a bit Urbanized place to get a phone store. Thus, there is no way, the people can communicate with the police. Cruisons can easily kidnap the kids of the poor and then blackmail them.'
'But Detective Delbis, I still quite didn't get my answer.'
'There are two reasons for this plan to get executed. Number one, for the reason I mentioned earlier, most of the people living in this region know about Cruisons. We might get information about Cruisons in this manner. Number two, Cruisons will easily spot us if we keep on flying our helicopter over the border.'
The Comrade was in his stubborn manner, he no way wanted to agree with Ionen, but he had to, because Ionen's words indeed was correct. He quite regretfully asked the pilot to land the helicopter. We landed in front of a small igloo. It was surely not Cruisons' igloo.
