Chapter 1 - Chapter One: Mr. Ionen Delbis

Mr. Ionen Delbis has been by best friend ever since I was a student. He is the best analyzer, observer and detective ever. My name is Mark Nora. I am a cartoonist by profession. I usually have a busy schedule because I have to work in the film industries all day long drawing cartoons. But now, I have got a huge holiday that may last for a week. The T.V is packed with different cartoon shows and thus our company has got no chance to make new cartoons. Thus I decided to pass all my free time by writing a case of Mr. Ionen Delbis, the genius detective. He is just like a brother to me.

Ionen lives in my house just like a family member. In our small mansion in Moscow, the only people to live are myself, Ionen, my dad whose name is Ivan Nora and finally my mum whose name is Lady Kathleen-von Qwerty Nora. Ionen's parents died in a car accident. Thus he lives with us.

In school, Ionen wasn't interested much in subjects like Geography, Civics, Economics, Science and History. His only favorite subject was mathematics. He wanted to be an architect as he was interested a lot in Geometry and Algebra. But he couldn't be so because, from his birth all of his left hand fingers were paralyzed. Now his only affection was algebra.

He always used to draw out a detective case from an equation. He used to say the variable to be the victim and all the numbers to be the suspects. At the end of every equation we find out the answer to what number equals to the variable. That number he says to be the criminal. He says the detective to be the equals to sign because this sign analyses and verifies the case in all ways and he says all the parts of BODMAS to be the clues of the case. He never failed to solve an equation irrespective of how hard it was. It was his passion.

He never got a good job due to this reason that he didn't like any subject except mathematics and he was unable to be an engineer, architect or mathematician as he was unable to do geometry.

Meanwhile, when he was about ten, his parents were driving him somewhere. His parents sat in the front seats and he was seating in the back. Suddenly a huge truck came at full speed and hit with full force at the front of the car. The front glass of the car broke into several pieces and sadly, Ionen's parents died. Ionen had managed to jump out of the car by the door at the last moment and he survived. He was still very injured and didn't have any senses.

The traffic police were standing at the side of the road. They rushed towards the accident and arrested the drunken truck driver.

The police took the responsibility of Ionen. They took him to the police station. Ionen was fine. He was surely very upset by the news of his parents' death. He told the police about us. We had a good relationship with his parents. The police brought him to us. We took Ionen to his parents' house but we were very upset to see that all money and property in the house were burnt by some shot circuit.

From That time, Ionen has been a part of our family. My parents had taken all responsibilities of Ionen. Though nothing was useful because he couldn't have had any job because of the reasons I had mentioned earlier. He was simply a vagabond and used to sit idly in his room, watching TV, reading newspapers, solving algebra sums from different Math books present in our home and by many other means.

I was very angry upon my parents as they never used to worry about Ionen to be a vagabond. They always used to think that when Ionen becomes old and when they wouldn't be present, I would take all the responsibilities of Ionen.
