-INTRO- SONG: Way down we go speed up (SoundCloud)
STOP: 1:31
In the dark, K remained running from something.
He gazes at his bloody arm before falling into a portal.
He falls into the multi-color tunnel, swinging wildly while his past life reflects the tunnel.
K lands on Kuoh, staring at the new environment.
He passed Akihito's house, helping him.
Sitting in the kitchen, Miko passed Akihito a plate of cookies only for her to smack K in the hand. The older man laughs.
Miko stays with K the night, teaching him about money. He falls asleep.
Standing among a gravestone, K held Miko tight, letting her cry on him.
A history of battle flies by.
K is in the living room reading a box of fan mail while Miko watches TV with Yuri. Miko jumps while the cat flies across the room.
K planted some flowers before walking to school.
K watches the devils he's training slowly grow.
Kiba is getting deeper into the boulder.
Koneko stared down at her bruised fingers before going for another.
Issa is doing a hand push-up while her gaze remains on the ground. Wearing swimming wear, K is lying on the floor reading a magazine.
K hurls Issa over his shoulder.
Kiba slashed at him, not hitting his mark before K palm struck him away.
Koneko appeared with a Heel kick that cracked the ground beneath them. K hurls her away.
Issa summons a tiny red ki ball before punching it. The beam roared past K before blowing up a mountain from afar.
K gave a light smirk under his cap.
K is in his Hit outfit, with his face filled with tiredness.
Walk the night of Kuoh.
HIGH SCHOOL DXD: FIST OF DESTINY!
-INTRO STOP-
----
Waking up, K stared at the white ceiling of his room.
He raises his feet onto the blue carpet, feeling them between his toes.
K paced down his organized room before entering his bathroom.
Minutes went by. K exited with a black t-shirt, blue cap, jeans, and sneakers.
K exits his room.
"Hey. K." Kiba approached. "How do you sleep?"
"Fine. I see you up."
"Yeah. Since we got a day off from our amazing trainer, I wanted to walk. Would you like to join?"
"I'll pass, and I'm not that good." They climbed down the stairs. "Yuri's still out there."
"You should take credit when it's due. And I can help?"
"Don't get me wrong, but I can handle it alone." K opened the door, feeling the sun bake his skin. "You would only slow me down."
"Well. Alright." K sprints down the open field at Cheeta speed. "Wish you luck on your search!" Kiba raises his voice as K leaps to the skies.
"Hey. Kiba." Asia, in her white sundress, approaches him.
"Oh. Hey. Asia." Kiba gave a warm smile while taking a few steps away from her. "You going out for a walk?"
"Yes, with Rassei, as you could tell." A tiny blue dragon hovers over Asia's shoulder. "Would you like to join us?"
"I would love to. May we?"
Asia nods, taking the lead.
"How's the training with Rias and Akeno?" Kiba starts.
"Well, I'm getting the hand of my twilight healing. I can create a sphere of light for three minutes."
"That's great, Asia. Keep it up, and you'll be as strong as Rias."
"Hhm. How's K's training? I hope he's not too hard on you guys."
"Well, I first questioned it. But I know where it's getting at. It's adapting training, plain and easy. K wanted us to find our flaws, adapt, and perfect our own with a mix of his. One of his moves is called a windmill. One of his fighting styles, he calls it Breaker. Once he generates enough speed and velocity, his legs are sharp like a blade only when his toes are at the right angle."
Kiba looks to the ground in thought.
"If I can create a slash that hides my blindspot against multiple enemies, I could. That would sacrifice my vision."
"Uhm?" Asia pulled Kiba out of a daze.
"Oh. I'm sorry. Asia."
"Don't be. You're having fun."
"Right."
"Is K still sleeping as we speak?"
"Well. K stepped out, wanting to find Yuri."
"Oh. No. Let's try to help."
"I don't know, Asia."
"Even when K's fast. He can't be at more places than one. Let's tell Rias."
Asia runs back down the path K created.
...
"Well. It seems we got our day cut out for us." Rias voiced. Standing before the members in her red and trim white tracksuit. "We have a furry friend out there that needs our help. And it is up to us to find her."
"Rias." Kiba voiced. "Not to be a downer, but you think he would be fine with this?"
"I second. Blondy here." Issa spoke up. "As much as I want to help. I'm not ready for one of his episodes."
"Issa, there's a thing about friends. We help regardless." Rias smiled. "Now, we'll be split up into groups of three. It will consist of the fallen."
The vacuum cuts off.
"Did someone call my name?" Mittlet spoke up in the other room.
"Yes. Can you bring the others?" Rias raised her voice.
"Yes. Mistress Rias."
"You bringing them along?" Issa whispered. "Raynare calling me Mistress is giving me an existential crisis."
"As much as I would love to leave them, I trust they would attempt something."
"If K trusts them. I can, too." Asia voiced, nodding her head.
"Asia, you too pure for this world." Issa comments.
"Yes? Mistress Rias?" Raynare entered the living room with two fallen maids at her tail.
"You three. Would be coming with us." Rias spoke while Raynare's eyes widened.
'Shit! I want to try their hot spring! I'm getting tired of using K's shower. It's so basic! Wait. Unless We can use a K token, Mittlet has a few. Yes, I can see this working.'
"Raynare, you would be with me and Koneko, Kalawarner, Akeno and Kiba, Mittlet, Issa, and Asia."
"If I due the respect, Mistress Rias." Mittlet bows. "I would like to go with Akeno and Kiba. If you mind."
"Why that's?"
"It's Issa."
"Hey!" Isa shouts. "It wasn't my fault you were hovering outside my door! It was right there!"
"Issa, I adore you. Don't cause Mittlet any trouble, OK?" Rias spoke.
"Ok. I'm telling the truth, though." Issa grumbled while Asia gave support.
"Let's find. Yuri, shall we?"
---
"Excuse me, Have you seen this cat?" K showed a picture of Miko holding Yuri.
"No. Sorry." The bystander walked right along while K eyed the square of the town.
"Ugh." K walked. "Think. K. Think."
K scans his phone before stopping.
Hiroshi
'This is a weekend. I could knock out a few deliveries while looking for Yuri. Let's hope this is right.'
K: Hey. Mr.Hiroshi, I'm ready.
H: Oh! Stop by. I'll keep them waiting.
K bounces in his steps before taking off. Eyes watched him as he ran around town at Cheeta's speed before slowing to a stop.
He entered Hiroshi's Tailor shop.
"K!" Hiroshi states, sitting in front of a priest who looked over his shoulder at the boy. "My favorite runner. You got a lot of good reviews." He inspects a rip from the gown.
"Yeah?" K tilts his head.
"I've been busy lately. Before this, I had customers here and there because of the delivery time, but with you. I got neighborhoods, people in business, and the rich. You do good, kid." Hiroshi looks to the priest.
"This looks like someone trying to split you in half, judging how perfectly lined this is. I say a skilled sword or knife, or it's my fantasy's acting again. I hope you alright."
"Thanks for the hospitality, HP. The devils won't know what hit them next." He grins.
"Right. Would you like it delivered?"
"Oh no. I'll pick it up. Give me the time, and I'll give you a dime." He heads to the exit. "And I'll try your runner next. Don't disappoint me, HP."
"Well. You're ready?" Hiroshi set the clothes aside.
"You. Know it." K remarked.
...
On the day of Kuoh, a blur passes cars and people before slowing down to K gazing about.
K ran down the street in the hotel district with the custom backpack carrying a suit bag.
He slows to a stop, staring at the hotel before him.
'I've been here before.'
K entered the five-star hotel, approaching the front desk.
"Hello. Um. I'm here to deliver a kimono."
"Name? And your ID." The staff opens a book in front of her. "Kuroka Barechild."
"Oh. Ms.Barechild is on the sixth floor, room six. Six. Six."
"Thanks." K entered the elevator—and his phone rang.
Asia
Calling...
"Hello? This is K."
"Oh. K. We are wondering when you'll be back."
"Uh. After this order."
"You working?
"Yeah. My work requires me to run around Kuoh. I'm killing two birds with one stone."
"I reframed from saying that. It's a cruel analogy."
"Sure. Asia."
"Well. I want to spend time with you if that's alright?"
K eyed the screen, saying five.
"Uh. Sure. Back at the mountains?"
"That's good."
"See you then." K hangs up, exiting the elevator.
He approached the room before giving a firm knock.
"Come in."
K waited for a moment before slowly opening the door. The lights were off while candles and roses led his way.
He followed it until he met his client in the hotel robe, sprawled out on her bed.
"Well, hello there." Kuroka grins while K gazes around the room with squinted eyes.
"I'll leave it. Here." K paced across the room, planting it on the chair by the table.
"And go?" She appeared behind him before her hand brushed against his chest. Her yellow eyes stared deep into his.
"I'm on the clock."
"Aw. I was hoping you stayed." K got lost in her eyes. "Let me get your payment." She heads to the dresser before bending over.
K looks away.
"Ms. Barechild. Have we met?"
"No. Would you like to?"
"I'm good."
"You no fun." Kuroka voiced.
"Sorry. Ms.Barechild, This is only for businesses."
"I worked hard, too. Would like to relax every once in a while." K remained silent. "Here." K looks at the yen in Kuroka's hand. "But, you get extra. If you do what I say."
"That depends."
"I want you to hold me."
"Uh? Ok."
She clings to him while K embraces her.
"Don't be shy. I won't bite." Kuroka rubs her face into his chest.
K's right hand brushed against her spine while another brushed her head.
Kuroka purrs.
"Ma'am?"
"Hmm?"
"If you were feeling lonely. Why not find someone?"
"I'm a busy gal. And I like to release some stress somehow." K hums. "Like that. Do it again." K hums once more while Kuroka sighs. "You're the best."
They remained like that for minutes before Kuroka broke from his embrace.
"I needed that." She kisses his cheek before passing the payment. "Will I see you again?"
"That depends."
"We can only cuddle if that's fine with you."
'Should I? It has been a long time since I held someone.'
"Uh. Sure. Let's keep it between us." K answered, earning a smile from Kuroka. "Maybe after work hours."
"I haven't thought of it."
K exits the door before entering the elevator.
He leans against the wall before sighing.
'I hope this doesn't come to bite me.'
---
"Yuri. Yuri? Come out." Raynare called, walking around the park as Yuma while Rias and Koneko asked bystanders.
'This stupid cat is getting on my damn nerve! She got me walking out here for hours. I think the soles of my feet are bleeding.'
"Well." Rias starts. "Let's go deeper, shall we?"
They pace along the path, passing others.
"Well, Don't think I haven't noticed." Rias continued.
"What do you mean, Mis-."
"Let's cut to the chase. You're planning something." Rias kept her eyes forward. "And talk. It's not like K will be appearing anytime soon."
"I'm doing my job, Gremory. What more do you want to hear?"
"If he wasn't there at the church. You wouldn't be standing before me."
"And if you kill me now. It wouldn't look too good for you."
"I could always say you attacked Koneko." Raynare looks to Koneko, eyeing her down. "I won't do it unless you give me good reason, too. And the punishment he displays upon you three is child's play. I would've done a lot more. Be glad I spare you because of the amount of respect he has."
"Hmm. Respect. That's odd coming from a princess of hell."
Rias stood in front of her.
"My servant. She's made a complaint about you." She leaned forward, her blue eyes staring into Raynare's violet. "Don't push it." Rias continued forward.
"Go." Koneko voiced while Raynare rolled her eyes.
"Yeah. Yeah."
---
"Yuri. Yuri." Kiba looks down an alley.
"Yuri." Akeno voiced.
"Meow." Akeno gazes at an orange cat standing on top of someone's shed. It continued staring at her while Akeno continued forward.
"Well. This place is around—Issa's lives; where else can we try?" Kiba questioned, walking along with Akeno.
"Master Kiba." Kalawarner cuts in dress as Dr.Hinata.
"Kiba is fine."
"Kiba. We can head to the bridge. The last time I checked, there were few cats there."
"Well, Why didn't you say that sooner? Akeno?"
Akeno remained silent.
"The bridge we go. So, Kalawarner, How did you know about that place?"
"I feed a few every once in a while."
"That's nice. I want to go somewhere before making that stop. If that's ok with you?"
"Anything you wish."
"Great."
Minutes went by until they eyed a mini-mart on the corner.
"You guys want anything?" Kiba looked back at Akeno, who smiled.
"No. Your sweet Kiba."
"Kalawarner?"
"I'm fine. Kiba." Kalawarner answered while Kiba nodded.
"I'll be back soon."
He entered while Akeno and Kalawarner didn't move a muscle.
"You know." Akeno starts. "I'm disappointed. When K said shock therapy, I thought I was boarding a thrill of a lifetime, but oh well. I'll wait until you betray him, and then I can have fun with you."
Kalawarner remained silent.
Minutes went by.
"Thanks again." Kiba looks over his shoulder before staring at the girls before him. "Thank you for waiting. I was figuring out how to carry these."
He hoists up a bag filled with something.
"What is it?" Akeno questioned.
"Cat food. Suppose we feed one, and many are bound to show up. And besides, they are hungry. They need strength to live another day."
'Yeah. You would say that.' Kalawarner eyed Kiba only to look away.
...
A horde of meowing filled their ears while the cats surrounded Kalawarner, feeding them.
"Wow, you weren't lying." Kiba folded his arms with a smirk, watching the cuteness surrounding the fallen maid. "What makes you like cats?"
"I would like to leave it there if you mind. Kiba." Kalawarner focuses on the cats, trying to climb her leg.
"Ok." Kiba nods his head.
---
"Where is that girl?" Issa questioned, walking down the street of the neighborhood.
"Yuri!" Asia shakes the ping pong ball in hand. "Yuri, please come out."
"Can you, kids, please give it a rest!" A man opened the window of his house. "That cat's dead!"
"What?" Asia voiced cracks.
"Hey! Don't fill her with thoughts like that, you hear me!" Issa shouts.
"I saw it with my own eyes. That cat got hit by a truck. It's down that road there. Now, can you keep it down?" He closed the window.
"Asia, don't."
"She's running." Mittlet voiced. Issa snapped over her shoulder to see Asia sprinting down the street. "And for a nun, she's sure is fast."
"Come on! Asia!" Issa raced after her, followed by Mittlet. "Asia!"
Asia ran around the corner.
"Asia. That guy is lying to you." Issa slowed to a stop.
Asia remained on her knees. The corpse of Yuri remained.
"Yuri." Asia's voice croaked.
"Asia, can you heal her?"
Asia looks over her shoulder, her mouth clamped. She looks back at Yuri to heal her.
'She cares about that cat. She's not the one that looked after her.' Mittlet remained silent, watching Issa and Asia huddle around Yuri.
"How long is it going take?" Mittlet earns a glare from Issa.
"That doesn't matter."
"Alright. Hold your britches."
"What is your deal anyway? Are we having a moment?"
"Uh, I don't see a big deal in her reacting this way. It's not hers."
"Of course, it's not hers! It's called being empathic, but you don't understand that because it's not in your dictionary!"
"Yeah. Whatever." Issa growls.
"PLEASE! Both of you stop!" Asia shouts, "I can't concentrate."
Issa glared at Mittlet, mouthing something before looking back at Asia.
A few minutes went by while Mittlet tapped her foot.
Asia's healing was complete as the black cat raised her head.
"Ah ha! You did it, Asia." Issa's voice, while the cat rises onto her paws, hissing at two. She runs away. "What happened?"
"She needs time to collect her thoughts." Asia wipes the tears from her eyes.
"Well, getting hit by a truck does that to you." Asia looks over her shoulder, glaring at her. "Sorry. I called Rias and the others."
Issa pulls out her phone, walking past Mittlet.
2:34 pm
Calling...
Rias
"Rias, speaking."
"Rias, we found Yuri."
"You did?! Bring her home."
"That's the thing. Yuri died, but Asia brought her back to life, and now she ran off. Asia said she has to come to terms with being alive."
"That's Horrible." Rias sighs. "Well, come on back to the mountains. Let's put Akeno's plan into motion before telling him the news. I'll call the others to let them know."
"Right."
"And give Asia some time."
Issa brought her phone from her ear before pocketing it.
---
K climbed the mountains in a huff. He pulled out his phone.
4:32 pm
He entered the mansion, hearing chatter.
K closed the door behind him.
"Oh. K." Rias voiced.
Rias and her peerage came to a halt in front of him.
"Yeah?" K cocked his head.
"How about you, come play with us?"
K eyed Issa with a metal bat on her shoulder.
"And that is?"
"You silly, baseball, of course."
"Uh, no. I'm going to go to bed and continue looking for Yuri."
Koneko escapes the group before sniffing K. She looks up at him blankly.
"You stink." Koneko's voice.
"And that's my cue." K walked past Koneko.
'Why is there so much rage in her eyes?'
"Oh. No, you don't, Studmuffin." Akeno held onto his arm. "I love the scent of your manliness; besides, we're getting dirty. And I want you to wrestle me to the ground."
"Rias!"
"K." Asia held onto his other hand. "Let's play Baseball. We can give it a try tomorrow."
"I care about Yuri."
"And she cares about you. She would want you to rest. Come on." She drags him to the door.
"Asia. I can't."
"I said. We're playing Baseball!" Asia raised her voice before dragging K out the door.
"Wow." Akeno voiced.
Issa sighs.
"Let's get this over with."
...
"Alright. You dragged me out here. Who's first?" K questioned, beating the ball into his catching mitt.
Rias, Kalawarner, and Mittelt remained at their bases behind him.
"Well. Me, of course." Issa swings her bat in her hand, wearing a black sports bra, red skin leggings, and long brown hair tied in a ponytail. "Give me what you got, bombshell."
"Hmm." K lined his throw before throwing it.
Issa bat connects.
"Let's go, Issa!" Kiba, Akeno, and Asia shouted while Issa ran to first base.
Kalawarner picks up the ball before throwing it at Mittlet. She tags Issa.
"Safe." Koneko voiced.
"Great job! Issa!" Kiba claps while Raynare steps forward dressed as Yuma. "Let's go, Raynare. You can do it."
K cocks his arm back before throwing it to Raynare.
Her hit connects.
"Woah! Nice hit!"
The ball was nearly a home run. Kalawarner used her fallen wings to fly after the ball while Issa ran to second base.
Kalawarner hurls the ball toward Rias, who catches it, preventing Issa from continuing.
"Ugh!"
"Sorry, sweetie. You can try again next time." Rias smirks before hurling the ball at K, who catches it.
The game continues.
K: 2 I: 1
K remained the pitcher, while Asia was the batter.
Asia wore her gym clothes.
"Come on, Asia! Don't let him get you out!" Issa shouts.
"Breath. Asia." Kiba announces while Asia does so.
'Looks who miss confident.' K grin before giving a serious look.
He picks up his leg before going to throw. Asia flinched. K tossed the ball that slowly fell through the air before Koneko caught it.
"Out."
"K! You Asshole!" Issa shouts.
"Sorry. Asia, my competitive nature took over." K kept a grin on his face while he caught the ball.
"It's ok." Asia nods with a grin.
"Asia! You way too forgiving!" Issa cries.
Asia passed the bat to Akeno, who nodded. She approaches the base in her grey leggings and Black sports bra.
She stretches with the bat in her hand while eyeing K down. She prepares herself before licking her lips.
"Alright. Who wants to throw the ball?" K look to others.
"Throw the ball, K!" Rias commanded.
"Look!"
"Wow. Are you afraid of a girl? Grow a pair and throw the damn ball!" Mittlet shouts.
"When in doubt. Use Akeno." Issa smirks at Kiba, who only shakes his head.
"She's baiting you." Kalawarner voiced.
"Am I?" Akeno points out her rear.
"Jesus fucking. Christ." K said under his breath.
"You naughty boy, don't make me come over there."
K hurls the ball. Akeno connects, making a Home run.
"WOO! Let's go, baby!" Issa cheered, running to home base with Kiba.
"Nice. Hit Akeno." Kiba voiced.
"Really? Dude." Mittlet raises her hands. "You can't keep your hormones in check for a second?"
"That's real funny coming from you, Snow Bunny." K looks to Mittlet. "That night at the hotel, you were feeling me up."
"You insist!"
"I did, but not mess with my hair!"
"AH! I did no such thing! You Dolt!"
"Alright. Alright. You two, cut it out." Rias states, walking along the field. "We're switching."
K rubs the bridge of his nose while switching with the other team. Akeno approached him with an innocent smile of hers.
"You do that again. It'll be consequences." K hands out his catching mitt.
"Oh. Don't threaten me with a good time." Akeno takes it before bouncing her brow. "Maybe I'll do it again. I'm curious about what's in your room and how soft your bed is."
"LA! LA! LA! I'm not listening." Akeno chuckles.
K stood up to bat. He banged it against his shoe before spinning his wrist. He ready himself for the ball.
"Let go. K. You can still come back." Rias cheered.
Akeno gave a devilish grin.
'Don't. You dare.' K squinted his eyes.
She picks up her leg before hurling the ball. K bat connects, causing it to roll across the field.
K ran to first base.
'SHE'S GOING COMMANDO!!'
He makes it to Issa's base and next to Asia.
Kiba hurls the ball at Asia, who cringed at the speed, only for it to hit her mitt and drop to her feet.
"Sorry." Kiba voiced.
"Get it! Asia!" Issa shouts while Asia scrambles for the ball. K slides to base while Asia touches him.
"Out." Koneko voiced.
"Yeah! Let's go! Asia! That was your first out!"
Asia beamed, jumping in place.
"I did it! Isa! I did it!"
"Yeah, you did!"
K stands to his feet with a grin.
"Great job. Asia."
Asia nods.
"I hope you are not hurt."
"I'm good." He jogs to the other batters on his team.
"Asia is such a child at times." Ria's comments while They watch Kalawarner bat. "But, that's her charm."
"Yeah. Asia such a Sunflower." K sighs. "I wish I could have met her earlier."
"Oh. Someone has a crush?"
"Uhm! No."
"Oh?" Rias grew close to him. "We have eyes."
K's eyes wandered to Asia, gazing at the two before snapping back at the game.
"Why not?" Rias tilts her head. "You care deeply for her."
K shakes his head.
"No. I admire. Asia is all." He looks at her. "She's the embodiment of something I want to protect."
Rias backs up.
'Akeno is right.'
"Rias." K's voice knocks Rias out of her trace. "It's your turn."
"Yeah. Right."
...
Rias was the first to open the door to the mansion while a rumble of chatter erupted from the door.
"Dude! I can't believe we won!" Issa states with the bat on her shoulders.
"Well...this whole time, Akeno has been messing with K. So, It's bound to happen." Kiba followed.
"Right. And Kalawarner. She may be in a different team, but that catch was beyond human." She looked to Kalawarner, who was staring blankly. "That flip, catch, and flexibility is like Spider-Otter cool! When you think you can teach me that?"
"When you can keep your eyes from my chest."
"Ah." Kiba wince. "She got you there."
"Shut it, blondie." Isa pushes Kiba, who chuckles.
K closes the door leading to the night. He followed the group.
Akeno waited before climbing the stairs.
"Sorry, K. My competitive nature took over." Akeno voiced.
"You didn't just use my words against me?"
"Well, what you did to Asia is only fair." K nodded. "But, after that, I just couldn't help myself. So where are my consequences?"
They stood outside his door.
"Well. I." K looks away before staring back at Akeno. He pats her head. "Lesson Learned." K opens his door.
"Oh. I." Akeno clears her throat. "You're not joining us?" K raised a brow. "The springs, of course."
"I have a shower here."
"Right."
"Master." Mittlet voiced. The three fallen maidens approached the two with towels in hand.
"Sorry." Akeno leaves.
"I would like to know if we could use the springs."
"I don't think Rias would allow that."
"We could use it after. Ria's."
"I don't know." K scratches his cheek before Mittlet presents a K Token. "You still have that."
"Please, master." Her eyes watered while she stared up at him.
"Ugh! Ok." K takes the token, seeing the fallen smile, but Kalawarner. "Let me get my stuff."
He entered the dark room, lightened by the moonlight through his window and curtains.
His phone rings.
"Hey. K is speaking."
"K! K! K!" K leans from his phone. "You can't believe what happened!"
"Lower your voice, Aunt Miko."
"Meow." K's eyes lit up. "It's Yuri! She's back!" She chuckles. "I found her in your room. And you forgot to close your window, but I'll ignore your forgetfulness now." Aunt Miko squealed while Yuri's meowing filled the background. "I love you. I love you. I love you."
K sat on his bed, listening to his aunt's rant. Yuri's meowing continued.
K's lip shakes while his eyes watered.
"I'll call you back." His voice breaks.
"K?"
He hangs up, looking at his ceiling.
"Thank you. God." He sobs into his hand.
Alone in the dark room, it only grew brighter while the door of his room silently cracked open.
Raynare peeks within, seeing K. She closes the door shut.
...
A sliding door opens, bringing K from his phone, showing a Picture of Him, Miko, and Yuri.
"There you are. Where have you been? It felt awkward hearing the girls while I sat alone." Kiba walked in with a towel.
"Yuri. Returned home."
"Congrats! That's excellent news." He pats his shoulder. "When will you go to see her?"
"We still have one more week." K avoids his eyes. "I want you and the others to take the fight to Riser. And I'll help you get there."
"Good. Since this happened, something good will happen when that week comes. Let's get stronger together." He heads to his locker. "Besides, you're starting to smell. Sensei."
K chuckles.
"You know. I can always add more to your training."
"Please. Don't."
"That's what I thought. Now, get some rest. I'll meet up with you guys tomorrow."
"Night. Sensei."
"Night."
Kiba opened the door to the fallen maidens.
"Oh. Excuse me." Kiba walked right past while the Maidens entered.
"Alright. Rias doesn't know, but she will find out eventually." K stood up with a towel around his waist. "Don't disappoint me."
K entered the door, eyeing the spring.
"Sweet Jesus."
He stood before a steaming pool of water and another tall platform beside it—in the background the night of the mountains.
The half-moon hides among the clouds.
K heard Issa's screams from the top while K only squinted his eyes.
'Well. Koneko is setting her straight, but she's doing Issa a favor.'
K sat on a footstool and turned on the faucet, watching the water fill his bowl.
The door opens, entering the maids in towels. K snapped back at his bowl.
"Today was something." Raynare starts.
"Yeah." Mittlet followed. "For a moment, I forgot we were working, not going to lie."
K leans forward, hiding his bald spot.
The maids took their seats, a stool from K filling up their bowl.
The boy begins washing himself.
"Master K. You better. Not stare." Mittlet called while K kept his eyes on his arm.
"Yeah. I won't. I'll be in and out before you know it." He washes his face and his hair.
"Let me wash your back, Master." Raynare stood before K, still wrapped in a towel.
"Oh. No. I'm fine."
"Letting the water ride your back is not going anywhere. Let me see that." She takes the rag before rubbing it against his back.
Her wet, firm, soft touch brushed against his back while K's eyes remained on the bowl, staring at his reflection. His red, puffed eyes stared back at himself while the heat of the spring filled his pores.
"You had fun today?"
"Good."
"I've seen that you held back. I didn't want to hear Mistress Ria's mouth. I suppose I thank you, master." K remained silent. Feeling Raynare trace her finger along his muscles, she washes his chest. In contrast, K feels something soft, significant, and round against his back. "Whenever I felt alone."
"Stop." K wraps the towel around him before standing to his feet.
He enters the spring before releasing a sigh.
K stared at the night sky, enjoying the water—the water cry across the other side of the spring.
Mittlet and Kalawanrer climb in, hiding their bodies.
"This water feels excellent, Kalawarna." Mittlet sighs. "I think it's better than the one at the church. And the view. Don't you think?"
"Agreed." Kalawanrer nods with her eyes closed. Mittlet eyes stared at K, staring at the night sky. "Whatever you think you're going to do, don't."
"What? You wanna." Mittlet clears her throat. "Master K." She pulls out another token from the water.
K sighs.
"What do you want?"
"I like you to do anything I say without question."
"That depends on what you're asking."
"Come." K rolled his eyes. He paced across the spring before sitting beside the two by the pool edge. Mittlet threw her legs on top of K's. "Massage my legs and call me Mistress."
"Don't push it." K follows her orders, lining his fingers along her tiny, soft, smooth legs.
"Ha. Yep. Tonight is the night." She leans on Kalawarner, who remains still as a statue.
Another entered, sitting beside K.
"What's this?" Raynare questioned.
"The girl letting her ego cloud her judgment." Kalawarner answer.
"You insignificant brat! Why would you waste something like that?!"
"Raynare, calm down." Mittlet closes her eyes. "I still have one more."
"Yes! One more! I think you are dumber than you lead on."
"K."
Raynare coughs, blinking her eyes.
"What was that?!"
"I sprayed. You." K answered blankly.
"Spray me? Where are you keeping that thing?!"
"My ears hurt." Mittlet groans. "K."
He sprays Raynare once more.
"Man, where did you know how to do your job? I feel like an angel is touching me."
"Don't remind me." Raynare comments.
"A friend of mine was a junior masseur." K answers.
"Really?" Mittlet cocks her head. "Why don't you bring him? I want to get it from the master of." K sprays Mittlet. "Crap! What's that for?!"
K pulls the bottle from the water. Mittlet clamps her mouth before leaning back against Kalawarner once again.
A minute went by while Mittlet bit her lip.
"You guys should try this." She locked eyes with K, who returned with his work.
He gently plucked her thigh while his fingers pressed along her calf.
"Fine. Master K." K hears water splashing behind him. Raynare whips her long hair to her chest, revealing her back covered in scars of various kinds.
"Go along. I can wait." Mittlet voiced while K started on Raynare's shoulders.
"What is all of this?" K questioned, rubbing his thumb against a rough path from her front to back shoulder.
"Battle and torture scars. What do you think because I'm pretty? I can't handle myself?"
"You said it. Not me." He pinched along her shoulder blade, causing her breath to shake. "I don't know. How you Fallen Angel works, but judging by your reaction, some of you used to be angels."
"Now, it's my turn not to answer you."
K only squinted his eyes but only kept working. He circled his finger around her upper back, causing her to jolt.
"Don't do that."
"Don't do what?"
"Ah! That!"
"You seem a little tense there."
"Because you're touching the spot."
"Raynare, relax." Mittlet voiced. "K keep it up."
"You're not the one experiencing THIS." Raynare quickly faces K. "Ok. I'm done."
"Raynare." K squinted his eyes while her Violet eyes avoided his before facing her back to K once more. "Be gentle. Damn it, I can't believe I'm doing this." She said the last sentence under her breath.
K continued for a minute or two, hearing Raynare panting. She leans onto K's lap, throwing the boy out of his rhythm.
"Stop. No. More." Her foggy eyes stare up at K's. The boy quickly looks away.
"Man. Master. You must be hitting all the points." Mittlet whistled.
"You want me to find yours?"
"Uh. Sure." She scoots closer to K as Raynare remains on his lap.
K grabs her legs, finding the source. He pokes the back of her knee. Causing her to jolt, but she remained. He focuses on the spot, noticing Mittlet slowly blush.
"AAH!" Mittlet plummets into the spring before poking her head out. "No! I order you to stay away from me!"
"Why? There might be more."
"Nah, uh! If you think about touching me again, you must be out of your mind!"
A hand brushes his cheek. K looks down at Raynare.
"Please. Master. More."
"Huh?" K tilts his head while Raynare positions herself in front of him.
"Keep going. Mittlet, order him."
"What?" Mittlet questioned.
"Now!"
"Alright! K."
K continued eying two fallen maids, staring in shock.
"Firmer." Raynare order. "Ah. A little harder. AH!" She moaned as loud she could while K snapped his hands from her back.
'Ok. I ignite something in Raynare.'
"Why you stop?" She glared over her shoulder while the boy grabbed his towel.
"This is enough for me for the night." Raynare clings to his leg. "Raynare."
"Please! Please. I'll do anything. I'll get on my knees."
"That's not necessary!"
"I'll be your toy. Just keep touching me!" She clings harder.
"Have Mittlet or Kalawarner to do it!" Raynare, let's go.
K climbs out the spring, exiting it.
...
"Sweet Jesus." K sighs, staring out the window, remembering the event.
'I don't know what I was thinking.'
K watches the open field stretch to the ring of trees. His eyes land on the white Gazebo a few feet from the house to see Rias going over something in her book with black-rim glasses.
Rias sighs before grabbing her phone from the table.
K's phone rings.
Rias (Gigs)
Calling...
"Rias, do you know what time it is?"
"Yeah. Yeah. I know. I want to speak with you."
"About?"
"Come out. The side. I'll wait."
"Alright."
K hangs up, exiting the house. He went around approaching the Gazebo, eyeing Rias in her little world.
Crickets and frogs croak while K knocks on the Gazebo, following in.
"Still going over the plans of the Rating Game?"
"Yes, I feel confident with the training you gave my peerage."
"Since when do you wear glasses?" He leans against the support, putting his hands into his pockets.
"Oh. These. I could see perfectly fine, yet it helps me think."
"Ok. Suppose you keep wearing those glasses. I might ask for lunch money."
Rias chuckles.
"You're barking at the wrong tree. K."
"I know. Why call me?"
"That. I wanted to see how you have been. And I know about the fallen angels you invited into springs. We heard and seen all of it."
"Shit. I'm sorry about that."
"It's okay. I would've done it if you had asked me directly, but your decision was better. For all of us." Rias sighs. "I ask of you to keep one eye open. And Akeno, she's enduring all of this."
"Akeno?"
"It's best you get it from her. All I can say is she is waiting for them to pose a threat intently." She looks up from her glasses. "And wait for her to tell you. It's better that way."
K nodded.
"K. Why are you wearing that hat?"
"Uh, because I want to."
"Please. K." Rias took off her glasses. "You're making Asia worried. Well. All of us."
"Rias. I want to wear my hat. Alright?"
"Please take it off."
"Rias."
Rias slaps her K token onto the table.
"God dammit." The boy curses under his breath. He slowly takes off his hat.
Rias quickly stood before him.
"K! When did this happen?" Rias stared at his bald spot.
"After I put on that enhanced rune."
"Give it here. K!"
He clenches the Rune in his hand.
"I'm fine. I can hardly feel anything."
"Ugh, K. That's supposed to be a beginner's Rune." Rias groans. "Please take it off. If this happens with it on, I don't want to know what will happen later on."
"Rias. I'm. Am. Fine." K said slowly. "Do you need anything else?"
"What happened in New York?"
"DAMNIT RIAS!! Stop asking me that."
"Hey." Issa approached the two. "Don't speak to her that way."
"Isa." Rias voiced.
"Isa. Go back inside." K rubs his nose.
"No! You don't use that tone around Rias. She's only trying to help."
"Don't."
"Dude, we're your friends! You can't keep treating us this way. Whatever happened in the past, you can't lash out at her or anyone."
"Issa. Stop." Rias confronts her, only for the girl to ignore her.
"Is this what happened to your last friends? Did you hurt-"
"DON'T!!" K roared, causing the frogs and crickets to grow silent. "Stop talking about my past. YOU GOT IT?!"
"I DON'T K! Why don't you explain it to me?!"
"Please." K chuckles. "GO IN THE HOUSE!!"
"Issa. Please go inside. I've got it." Rias begged.
"He needs our help."
K chuckles once again.
"Issa. I swear to god."
"ISA IN THE HOUSE!" Rias shouts, shocking Issa. "Please."
K walks past the two while Rias only rubs the bridge of her nose.

Koneko came out of the mansion, heading into the woods.
She stops, surrounded by trees.
"Kuroka, come out. I know you there." Kuroka drops in front of her.
"Sister, it's been a while." Kuroka goes for a hug, but Koneko backs up, glaring.
"What are you doing here?"
"What? I can't see my sister."
"Why is his scent on you?"
"Oh, you should have seen today. I felt so safe in K's arms like he was my teddy bear. You know?" Kuroka paces around. "Besides, I like his scent on me. It's pretty refreshing."
The tree behind Kuroka explodes. She looks back to see a hole within it.
'The hell was that?!'
The dark covered Koneko's face while her yellow eyes pierced through and into Kuroka, which was calm like the ocean.
"Come near him again. I'm caving your skull."
"Sister. You can't threaten family."
"You no family of mine."
Kuroka pouts.
"Well, if I can't get your love. I can find it somewhere else. I'm quite lonely, after all. I think K would make a great candidate." Koneko rushes, only for Kuroka to leap into the dark.
