Ty'Maign never knew he could feel so tired. He has been teaching a one hour class of a dozen or so students, including Zan'Iza, in Waratee. He is after all only thirteen.
Ty'Maign painfully walked from the palace training grounds with Zan'Iza to return to the house of orphans for a long rest.
‐--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The emperor watched Ty'Maign from his study. He is conflicted.
On one hand Ebijac has been aiding is forces to learn a powerful and ancient technique on the other hand Ebijac has not yet chosen a sponsor which is surely upsetting the Gods'.
Perhaps there is a way for both. If he could get Ebijac to choose a sponsor and continue to train his troops.
But Ebijac has all the cards. If the emperor forced Ebijac to choose a sponsor, he may simply stop teaching. If he let it be, then Ebijac will surely never chose a sponsor.
Even the emperor's wisemen of Resa could not find a good solution. Patients is their advice. But the emperor feared the longer they wait, the more powerful Ebijac becomes. But there is no alternative.
The emperor must wait until one of his loyalists have mastered Ebijac's technique in order to teach it once Ebijac is forced to chose a sponsor.
