Chereads / The psychopath named Dan / Chapter 83 - Your a sucker!

Chapter 83 - Your a sucker!

Dan stood up and patted the dust of his trousers. His shoulders, arms and sides ached due to him skidding on the floor like a pebble on a lake.

His armour was active and okay but his body was no where near okay. "Ouch, this is really painful." he complained. He held up his hand and his dagger flew back to him.

Had Dan looked around a little he would have saw the person watching him.

Hilfgan was a safe distance away and was holding a pair of binoculars to her eyes. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a... phone?

_____

BRIIING! BRRIIIINNGGG! BRIIINNGG!

An old fashioned telephone sitting on a table rang. Minna stopped drinking the wine in his goblet and picked up the receiver. "Hello, who is this?... Oh Hilfgan, have you done what I told you to do? What do you mean you ran into complications? oh the burning wings symbol... and the spiral symbol, well done, you did good." Minna hang up the receiver. He stared at the lobster which he was dining on and sighed.

Minna was dressed like a British gangster from the second world war. He was wearing a striped blue and white shirt with a tie, a bowlers hat, black chino trousers and well polished black shoes.

"Seems like it's pay day." he entered a number into the dial pad of the old phone and held the receiver to his ear.

"Why do you call?"a voice snarled from the other side.

"Hello to you too, I missed hearing your voice." Minna chuckled.

"If you do not tell me the reason why you call then I shall hang up."

"If you hang up that is on you but you wouldn't obtain the information you commisioned and so desperately wanted to know."

"....."

"Why are getting quiet now? I thought you would have hung up by now."

"Where is he?" the voice asked.

"I'm not telling you till you give me the remaining payment. Meet me in my office within an hours time." Minna hang up the receiver and went back to eating the lobster cracking the shell with his fingers and eating the meat inside.

After eating his food he called another number.

On the other side of the phone was a smooth voice like that of a well mannered gentleman.

"How may I help you?" the voice asked.

"I got that information you wanted come and meet."

"Are you sure?" the voice asked.

"Of course I'm sure, I would not call you if I was not and lose reputation in front of an important paying customer, come meet me in my office in three hours time with the remaining payment."

Just as Minna put the receiver he was startled by a loud noise.

BOOOOOMMMM!

The wooden door in his office crashed down with a deafening sound and in walked a woman, on her face was three scars. Two of them ran down from each eye all the way down to her cheeks while the third one ran from her forehead and went upwards to her hair. Her red lipstick went perfectly with her red eyes and her red fingernails.

She had beautiful long red hair that was tied in a ponytail reaching her waist. She wore red high heels and a red shirt and skirt carrying a sack. She looked absolutely stunning. Minna sighed as he saw her march into the room. "You could have entered like a normal person instead of just barging in." The lady walked to the table and stood in front of Minna.

"Where is he?" she asked menacingly.

Minna just stared at the door which was in pieces. "You didn't even have to pull it, all you had to do was push."

"I asked you a question."

"You really do hate doors don't you."

Minna held his hand forth for the woman and she placed the sack on his hand. Minna placed the sack on his lap and looked inside.

He let out a whistle and chuckled.

"Sovrick Crystals, you even added the formula just like you promised, how sweet of you... you shouldn't have..."

Inside the sack was thousands of small Crystals each a different colour and glowed.

The woman banged her hands on the table startling Minna once again. She stared at him directly in his eyes. "Where is he?"

"Oh yes, I completely forgot. He's in Folulheim causing some trouble."

The lady stared at Minna who was examining the crystals by holding it up in the air and using the light.

"Your not lying to me, are you?"

"huh... oh no. I am definitely not lying to you, it would screw up my already messed up relationship with you. You brought me these crystals, I wonder what you are going to bring me next time."

The lady walked backwards for a while before turning around and just simply disappearing. She left a huge shockwave as she left leaving Minna to stumble backwards from his chair as the wind blew him and everything on his table back.

"Oh for fucks sake..." he muttered under his breath. "Li Xiu come and get someone to fix my door." he shouted.

20 minutes passed and his door was fixed. Minna was going over some papers when a small girl ran into the room.

"Uncle Min, how are you?" the girl asked as she threw herself into his lap.

"Chelsea, my favourite niece, how was school today?" he asked.

"It was really boring, the most exciting thing that happened was when Rachel kissed Oliver."

"Is that jealousy I detect in your voice? Do you also like Oliver?" Minna teased her.

Chelsea blushed and replied. "Well I don't like him..."

"Chelsea, I am your uncle and your godfather, you should trust me more than you trust your father, here..." Minna opened one of the drawers and pulled out a lollipop.

"Uncle Min, I'm 12 years old."

Minna dangled the lollipop in front of her face before taunting her. "So do you not want it?"

Chelsea resisted as hard as she could but her will power was to weak. She finally caved in grabbing the piece of candy and ran out of the door.

"Where are you running to? You still have not told me anything about Oliver."

"Your a sucker uncle Min, your easy to manipulate there is no Oliver or Rachael." Chelsea yelled as she ran away.

Minna let out a chuckle before returning back to the paperwork he was previously focused on.

Minna lost focus when he heard a knock at the door.

"Come in."

A man walked in. He was panting and sweating but despite that he was really handsome. Minna saw the quickly retracting white feathered wings and thought nothing of it.

The man carried a box with the insignia of the half burning and half normal wings.
