Chapter 45 - Chapter 45

2 months later

Haider woke up to the sound of his elder sister waking him up. He rubbed his eyes as he heaved his bones of the bed that he shared with his two other brothers.

He didn't get a nice comfortable night's sleep but he got enough to get him through the day. He opened the curtains to his room and the morning sunlight pierced through the room.

"Uhhhh!" His younger brother grunted as the light hit him. He turned around and covered his face with his duvet.

"Come on, Wake up before mom gets angry and pours cold water over you." He tried taking the duvet of his brother but his grip was to strong so he let go of it.

"Well, I warned you! Your gonna have to deal with it!"

Haider left his room and went outside. There was a plastic barrel filled with water, the top half was cut of and inside it was a bowl. Using the bowl, he scooped up water from the barrel and used it to wash his face. He then brushed his teeth.

He got back inside and went to the kitchen. Food was stacked up on the table. It was practically a feast for a normal family but a family with 12 people then it was barely enough. Haider was a 14 year old elf. He had red hair just like every member of his family.

In elf society having red hair was like a defect of sorts. Red hair on elf's was a sign of stupidity and they would be mistreated.

They would be mistreated worse than half elf's with human blood. It wasn't easy for them to get jobs, education or love. Haider didn't hate his hair colour, in fact he loved it.

He thought of it as a sign of uniqueness for his family, to him it was a family birthmark. He loved his family especially his mother for the red hair colour she had given him.

"Move, I'm late!" Haider's elder sister Ban Cil said as she shoved him to the side. She was wearing her work clothes. She poured herself a cup of tea and downed it despite its heat and then grabbed 2 apples and ran out of the door.

"That girl," Haider's mother sighed.

The kitchen table was packed full. Haider noticed an empty chair and quickly ran to it. He sat down on it only to find that the other half was sat on by his younger brother Pel Oru.

"Get of! I sat on it first!"

"No you didn't! You get of!"

"Just share the chair," his mother said as she brought down a giant pot of soup.

"Haider, Where is your brother?"

"Asleep,"

She sighed and left to wake him up. Haider grabbed a plate and helped himself to the food.

He stuffed his mouth and left. He went to his room only to find his mother waking up his brother by spraying water on him.

She had an affinity to water. Nearly everyone had an affinity with water in this family except for their father, Haider and three others.

Haider got ready to go to school. He.put on his school uniform and stood in front of the mirror to admire himself.

"You look good," his mother said as she stood behind him.

"Thanks, mom... stop your ruining my hair," Haider removed his mother's hands from his hair to stop her from ruining it.

He grabbed his bag and ran out of the door.

It was his first day of third term in his first year. He ran along the dusty streets of the city until he finally reached his destination.

It was a giant beautiful building that seemed like a palace. It was actually one of the finest magical schools in the country.

The only reason Haider could attend the school was because he was on a scholarship. His father would have to wash horses for several decades just to pay even ¼ of the fees.

His rare lightning affinity was the only reason he was accepted, despite being one of the smartest people in his peers.

In fact one of the conditions for him to stay in the academy was that he had tuition several students. He had to tuition 4 people. Sind, the daughter of a Duke.

Lin the daughter of a really successful businessman.Horatio the adopted son and successor of the White hood clan.

And finally the person who he truly hated, the person who made his life a misery at school, Winfrey, the princess of the country.

After all the school was made for royalty and important people's children. Haider had learnt a lot during his time.

He learnt the royal elf sword technique that was taught only at this school. He progressed well and was considered a prodigy although no one wanted to admit it.

He was ranked number one in his year in both secular studies and physical studies. His lightning magic had advanced to heights he thought wasn't possible.

Even his control in other elements had increased albeit not as good since his affinity was not that great.

Lessons started as usual in the morning and continued like usual. He could hear people whispering and muttering about him but he paid no attention. He knew they were just jealous.

They thought that red heads were dumb but he proved them wrong.

It reached lunch time and his stomach rumbled and growled in pain.

"Shit, I forgot my lunch." he said as he slapped his forehead. "I hate starving!"

As Haider walked down he looked at the floor and didn't even notice Lin coming up the corner.

BAAAAAM!

Haider collided with Lin who just turned the corner.

"Watch were your going you dumb idi- Lin! I did not see you I am so sorry." Haider said. He was on top of her his face implanted in her giant bosom. As he removed his face from it he unintentionally used her breasts as a standing support.

"Get your hands of me!" Lin said coldly.

"My hands-" Haider looked down only to see his hands firmly squeezing her breasts.

He quickly let go of it and stood up and then helped her up. Her face was red in embarrassment as just now her breasts had just been groped by a commoner.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it wasn't intentional, please don't get mad!"

Lin thought for a second before speaking to Haider who was bowing and spitting apologies faster than he could breathe.

"Have you eaten your lunch?" She asked.

"Huh? Lunch? Oh... Well I forgot to bring one from home today so no."

"Then I will forgive you if you join me for lunch today!" Haider was the densest person anyone could ever meet. Despite seeing her blushing cheeks he didn't get the message.

"I ...I... don't have any money to buy lunch for you!"

"..... .... ..."

"..... .... ..."

"Do not worry about that, I have already made lunch at home for myself and I have more than I could eat by myself. Will you eat it with me?"

"Well, you said you wouldn't forgive me if I didn't eat with you so I have no choice!"

"This meat is really dry, I shouldn't have let you roast it!" Dan said to Charlie.

Within a matter of 2 months everyone had changed.

Dan had grown a small mustache and a smaller beard. His beard (if that is what it could be called) was basically a few hair on his chin.

"Then you should have done it yourself!" Charlie replied. He had changed as well. His skin was dark red and scaly. His teeth had also changed, the 4 canines he had had multiplied.

His nails had became thick and resembled more like claws than nails. His eyes were a beautiful shade of yellow and slited. He had gained quite a huge amount of muscle mass if compared to 2 months ago. He was wearing heavy metal armour that they had found on a corpse.

They had forgotten that they weren't the first to be thrown down this abyss.

"If I remember correctly, you said you wanted to practice your fire breathing and adamantly annoyed me until I let you."

"Stop lying, you told me to practice my fire breathing on it,"

"Crion, what say yee witness?"

Crion hadn't changed that much, she was still the same. The jumper that Dan had given her had become worn out to the point where it was exposing her stomach and chest. Thankfully she covered it up with her web so well that it seemed like she had sewed it in.

She had her monotonous emotionless face. Although all eight of her eyes were open.

After a long time Charlie had gotten used to the fact that he was travelling with a shape shifting spider.

"If I remember correctly both of you decided to set it on fire at the same time because you wanted to do it." Crion said as she bit of the meat from the thigh of the giant lizard they were eating.

"See, did you hear that? you decided to burn it while I was cooking the meat."

"Spewing fire on the carcass of a giant lizard isn't called cooking."

As if Dan remembered something he slapped his forehead.

"How could I forget?"

"What is it?"

Dan reached inside his inventory and brought out a small box. He opened it and inside it laid 5 beautiful mana stones.

"You two are in luck!"
