An old man slowly stepped out of the shadows after the door opened.
An ominous feeling accompanied his appearance – as if the very magic around him was creepy and scary. Even the humans like King Jaren and Jules and Bella could feel it – no wonder their little baby dragons, who were much more sensitive to magic than the humans, had been so terrified.
King Jaren tightened his arm around the two baby dragons against his chest, almost instinctively trying to hide them away from this terrible magic in the air.
Jules and Bella also stepped forward protectively, trying to cover King Jaren and the two little dragons.
"Good to see you awake and alive, Dora," the old man said with a smile. "I see that you are back in one piece again properly this time." He narrowed his eyes and scanned Queen Dora with his pale eyes from top to toe. "The curse seems to be cleared out as well," he muttered. "Good, good."
"Thank you, master," Queen Dora said politely.
