Mana gave a full tour of the imperial palace and gardens to the group following her. As expected by Rook, they stopped by the imperial kitchens and Mana instructed the imperial chefs to make some snacks for the guests. Mana herself whipped up some quick vanilla milkshake – Raven would probably need some after his chat with Jules, she thought.
When they made their way to the dining hall, Jules and Raven were already there, the latter looking rather determined with red-rimmed eyes. As soon as Raven spotted Mana, he came over.
Mana smiled and handed him a vanilla milkshake, and then gave another one to Jules.
Jules smiled and nodded at his little sister. Mana heaved a sigh of relief internally, while looking at Raven's red-rimmed eyes.
"What's wrong?" she asked in a whisper, pulling him aside.
