After settling the excited students down, Vanilla and Fox joined the others at Headmistress Ana's office.
"Is this about the green flashes of magic?" Fox asked as soon as he entered the room. He looked straight at Mana and said, "Did you know that it is exactly the colour of your magic?"
Mana nodded. "Headmistress Ana told us, and we also found something," she replied.
Fox and Vanilla were quickly brought up to date on their findings so far.
"Ah, an incomplete rune," Fox murmured. "That makes a lot of sense – so we need to guard these two incomplete points and catch whoever appears? Or do we want them to complete the rune and wait to see what happens?"
King Jaren tapped his chin thoughtfully – an inherent habit shared by him, Jules and Mana. "The second idea holds merit as well," he said slowly, and fixed his emerald eyes upon Fox. "Ana mentioned that you happened to witness a sighting as well – did you feel any malicious intent from the magic?"
