Chapter 86 - Sanbi

(Mandalay POV)

A bump in the road made the car jump and I nearly hit my head on the ceiling.

"Watch out!" I angrily said to Tiger, who was driving the armoured vehicle.

"Sorry," he called back as he rounded a corner of the hilly mountain path.

I glanced down at Kota, "Are you alright?"

He nodded nervously, and I smiled, "It's gonna be alright, both Tiger and I are here to protect you."

We had left our headquarters, deep in the mountains, only a few minutes ago and yet I already felt an impending feeling of dread.

"Tiger, speed up a bit!" I ordered and glanced out the back window.

My senses tingled, it felt like we were being watched, but that soon disappeared which only made me more nervous.

We had advanced another mile when suddenly the truck ground to a halt only to be flung back the way we came.

I quickly grabbed onto Kota, protecting him with my body.

We were flung into the back door as it skidded to a halt, my body battered and bruised.

I groaned and slowly sat up, "Is everybody alright?"

I heard a growl from the driver's seat letting me know that Tiger was okay.

'What was that?' I asked Telepathically while ensuring that Kota was alright.

"I'm not sure, I think I hit some invisible wall," Tiger growled out as he smashed open his door.

I nodded, 'Alright stay behind the car and wait for us to get out.'

Taking Kota under my arm, I then slowly crawled over to the back door and pushed it open.

Crawling over to Tiger I saw his eyes widen, and him motion up to the top of the hillside.

I followed his finger and my eyes widened, on top of the not too high slope stood two figures.

They both wore the same exact clothing, a black cloak with red clouds, they were the same Hannya wore.

Maybe they were sympathisers to her cause and or admired her, but whatever it was, they were dangerous.

Stepping forward the white-haired man spoke, "Hand over the boy and nobody gets hurt!"

Anger started to build up inside me and I was about to yell at them when Tiger stood up, "WE'LL NEVER GIVE YOU KOTA, YOU BA-"

A loud bang resounded around the area, and my eyes widened as I saw Tiger topple to the ground.

The woman who had hung back earlier was now crouched before the man, a rifle protruding from her elbow.

I gritted my teeth and grabbing Kota, began to run away down the road.

I knew I had no chance, that woman was in another league, not even Tiger could react to her speed.

Hearing something cutting through the wind behind me, I quickly spun around but it was too late and a metal pole collided with my head.

I cried out in pain and collapsed to the floor, blood flowing from the gaping wound in my head.

"Well Hero, you're not as good at protecting people as you thought you were, are you?" The woman said, grabbing Kota by the scruff of his neck and picking him up.

"No!" I cried out and with all my effort slowly stood up, "Give him back to me!"

A chuckle rang out from behind me, "Watch your back!" and everything went black.

(Izuku POV)

Landing in front of All Might, I frowned, "What's wrong?"

His expression was gloomy, "Kota-kun's been captured."

My eyes widened in shock and horror, "How, by whom?"

He grimaced and sat down on a dumpster, "From what I've heard it's a group known only as the Akatsuki, they've been appearing here and there taking down villains and heroes alike. From what we can tell they're most likely doing this under the orders of Shigaraki Hannya."

I looked at him in utter shock, "And why Kota-kun?"

All Might's eyes saddened, "About a week ago, Kakeru-shounen's mother came to us with some important intel.

Apparently, Kakaeru-shounen isn't the only one that has an animal with a quirk sealed inside him, and we suspect that Hannya wishes to use these animals to cause, as she said herself, "pain."

"Then I have to find Kota and bring him back!" and before All Might could say another word I jumped out of the alleyway.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter and please tell me if you see any mistakes.

So I've been watching a lot of films lately and noticed that 2021 was the year of overly gory films.

Then I hope you have a nice day or night depending on where you are, goodbye ;)
