Chapter 57 - Stain 3

On a skyscraper, overlooking Hosu on one side and the motorway on the other, sat, with her legs dangling off the edge, Hannya.

She was looking at her pink phone, watching an All MIght video when a call came in, it was from Tomura.

Hannya sighed and cancelled the call.

Leaning back, she braced herself with her arms and gazed up at the sickle moon.

Her phone suddenly vibrated again and she groaned expecting another call from Tomura, but when she looked, it was an alarm.

She chuckled, "It's time."

Standing up she scanned the motorway and soon spotted what she was looking for.

A large armoured convoy was driving down it towards their goal, Tartarus, the most secure prison in Japan.

As it slowly approached Hannya reached up and moved her mask a bit to make it more comfortable.

Leaning forward she fell down towards the motorway.

The concrete shattered as she hit the ground.

Standing up straight she gazed at the convoy.

Spreading her legs apart she went down slightly, and as the leading police car was only a few hundred feet away she printed some hand signs.

" Wood release: Deep Forest Emergence!"

The ground around her cracked open and massive warped trees broke out of it.

Unclenching her hands, Hannya gestured towards the incoming convoy, and as she did so all the house-sized trees shot at them leaving a trail of disaster behind them.

They smashed into the leading car, it flipped into the air and was quickly ripped to shreds.

Next, they capsized the armoured truck and ripped it open, they ignored it after that and destroyed the last police car leaving it as a smouldering wreck.

Letting her arms rest at her sides, Hannya straightened up.

Walking forward she passed through all the trees blocking her path eventually reaching the capsized vehicle.

There was a single hero standing before the large hole in its top.

From what she remembered it was a member of Endeavour's agency.

He had bandages covering his whole body only revealing a pair of white slits where his eyes should be.

Seeing Hannya exit the maze of trees and roots, the hero under the name Kido, stepped back and started unravelling his bandages.

He readied himself for a head-on charge but Hannya didn't do that, she just carried on walking forwards at a relaxed pace.

As soon as she was close enough Kido shot his bandages forward, but they just passed right through Hannya's body.

Kido's eyes widened, and he attacked again and again but every time he did it just passed through the villain.

The hero stiffened as he looked into the villain's one exposed eye.

Walking forward Hannya released Kido from the genjutsu and before he could react she plunged her arm through his stomach.

For a second he didn't know what happened, but as he looked down and saw Hannya's arm stuck in him to the elbow, his eyes widened.

Blood gushed out of his mouth, drenching the bandages wrapped around his face.

He looked back up, "Why?" His voice was shaky and close to cracking.

Pulling her arm out Hannya watched as Kido fell to his knees.

Flicking the blood off her arm she looked him right in the eyes and in a calm and soothing voice said, "For the greater good." before kicking his head off.

Walking over to the large hole in the truck, she stepped inside.

It took only a second for her eyes to adjust but when they did she immediately spotted Stain.

He was chained to a steel chair, with a muzzle covering his mouth.

Swaggering over to him, she bowed, "Hannya at your service." before ripping all the chains off him.

Standing up, Stain shook himself, "You!"

Pointing at herself, Hannya replied, "ME!"

"What do you want?" he asked in an annoyed tone of voice.

"N-nothing!" she exclaimed in her childish way.

Stain scoffed, "Don't lie to me you wouldn't have saved me otherwise."

Hannya smiled, and her voice changed to her normal one, "I like you Stain."

The hero killer swallowed, he could feel the danger emanating from the woman before him.

"I want you to work for me, Stain, I want you to clean up the streets of Japan just like you always have, but don't just focus on the heroes killing the villains in equal measure."

Stain stepped back, "And you want nothing else from me?"

She shook her head, "No… at least for now." and with that, she disappeared into her eye.
