Chapter 10 - Traveling

Sometimes even a greath thief has to search for new territory to make a living and so it was to no ones surprise that even Roland sometimes vanished from Demacia for a certain amount of time. During one of his travels he went to the beautiful country of Ionia. It was his first time there and he took in the thick forests, long grassy plateus and the mountains. He was overwhelmed by the unique flora and fauna you could only find here. He was intrigued and captivated by it until he dropped his coin purse and the sound of it falling to the ground shook him out of his daydream.

"Whoa, was I really thinking about the beauty and not the booty?" he snickered to himself leaving the port and going into town. As you would guess a port town was quite busy even in Ionia. You could see people from most factions there getting along. Sure, a couple of fisty-cuffs where going on but thats a sailors delight when leaving the ship. "Gotta get some lay of the land down. Better ask around in a pub." Said and done. Roland asked one of the sailors where the nearest pub was and went there to get some information, which hopefully, would prove usefull for him. "Good sir, is there anything a traveler should watch out for during his stay in Ionia?" he asked the Barkeep as he was sitting down. "Ay. There are some vastayans living in the forest that aren't keen to make friendship with outsiders. Be wary of them when entering the forest." "Thank you for the advice." Roland answered him. "Do you still have some free beds? If so I'd like to spend the night." The barkeeper nods "We still have a couple. If you pay now you can have it for the night. It'll be 3 gold"

"Sure, take it. I'll take a stroll through the town before nightfall. I'll be back by the evening." Roland tossed him the gold coins and left the pub. During his walk through the city he snatched everything he could and when he returned he had ten times the coins he paid for the bed.

And so Rolands first day in Ionia ended without any hitch
