Chapter 1 - 1-Would you do everything for Power?

In the First Cold Night of the Year. The Bright Pale Moon shone directly from the Center of the Starry Night Sky. Its Moonlight illuminated all over the World, giving Light to the Eternal Darkness of the Night that engulfed the World. The Starry Stars were plastered on the Heavens twinkled Brightly and Beautifully as Silence was scattered amongst the Skies. It was quite a Cold Night as the First Sunrise would sooner or later appear upon the World. But there exists the Earth that was below the Heavens.

There was the Cold Breeze of Wind that passed through Heaven and the Earth. They carried the Fluffy Clouds that sometimes covered the Beautiful Night Sky and the Bright Pale Moon. With the Bright Moonlight illuminating from the Heavens, The Color of the World was finally revealed. It was a Red Crimson Flare surrounded by the Eternal Darkness. It was the Color of Chaos and Anarchy.

"Help!!!" "Ahhh!!!" "Urghhh!!!" "Mom!!!"

The Red Crimson Flames of Chaos rose from the Earth. It exuded the Black Ash of Smoke that rose to the Heavens. It was slowly blocking the Skies, making it Darker and Darker. The cries of children calling for their Guardians. The screams of women calling for help. The shouts of men fighting against each other for their Ideals and Life. The World was Chaotic and Full of Suffering.

On the First Cold Night of the Year, A Revolution was about to start in the False Eternal Empire that encompassed the World.

*Bang!!!* *BOOM!!!* *Pang!!!* *BRrrrrrrtttttt!!!!*

The Thunderous Sound of Explosions echoed with the Noise of Bullets spraying Blood. Some Buildings collapsed into oblivion while Some Buildings got burned down by the Flames. The Residents were crying for Help while Some were laughing hysterically. Tanks were firing their Shells upon each other in the Streets. There were Planes dogfighting in the Heavens. Artilleries were even fired either within or out of the Cities.

It all started with One Human that managed to reach the Peak of Power. His name was Rogue. He was a Warlord that managed to have achievements that were supposed to be near impossible to achieve. But even though he had many Achievements, Rogue originated from Slavery. He was a Former Slave within a Barbaric Nation. He saw many unspeakable things in his Childhood which turned him into a Perfect Killing Machine.

He turned into a Cold and Serious Person. He killed his Owners and stole their Wealth. He got stronger and stronger as he slowly created an Army for himself. Such an Army grew in Numbers, and He began invading other Kingdoms and Nations. He didn't occupy such kingdoms and only stole their Wealth, then He established his Own Empire and began his Sovereign as an Emperor.

After creating his Empire, He began a Campaign against other Nations. He consumed the Nations near the Borders of his Empire and Fought many strong Individuals. The Campaign lasted many Decades. He first conquered the Continent he was currently in. Then he conquered the Seas as he began setting his sights upon other Continents. Rogue then slowly conquered the Entire World.

But a Realization struck him. His Limits finally dawn upon him. It was like a Cliff that was leading to damnation. The Limits of Humanity was something he didn't want to experience. No matter how much he tried to surpass the Limit. It still led to Damnation. Rogue gave up on surpassing the Limit of Humanity and turn to look at his Empire.

Rogue turned into a Tyrant that ruled upon his Empire with an Iron Fist. He didn't know how to deal with the depression of seeing his Limits. He continued his Days carrying his Duties as an Emperor. The Nobles and Commoners hated him alike due to him being cold to everyone. But even then, He didn't care about such things and continued with his Life.

The Speed of Technology advancing was Fast. He was interested in its Development and its Potential. Rogue just looked at it from afar and wondered if his Limits could be surpassed using Technology. He waited for the Potential to appear, and Rogue spent his Life all alone in his Palace.

Years passed within the Empire, and Technology managed to reach an Unimaginable Level. They conquered the Heavens with Planes and conquered the Seas with Ships and submarines. They manage to created Iron carriages called Tanks and Long Range Cannons called Artillery. Machine Guns that could fire Bullets at a Fast Speed and Much more interesting Technologies.

Then at the age of 120, A Civil War began.

――――――――――――――――

In the Imperial Capital of the Empire, Tall Buildings pierced through the Heavens and Wide Roads that Millions of Vehicles passed through. It was Beautiful and Grand. As Expected of the City that was considered to be the Center of the Empire. The Center of the Empire means the Center of the World.

But unfortunately, The Civil War began. The Empire itself was split into multiple forces. The Capital City of the Empire was under siege and chaotic. The Tall Buildings collapsed or were burned down by the Flames of Chaos. The Wide Roads were turned into Battlefields. The Imperial Capital was currently far from being Beautiful and Grand.

"Fire!!!" *BOoM!!!*

There were many Tanks and Military Vehicles all over the Wide Roads. Soldiers were shooting against each other. The Line of Command was unknown. Everyone was surviving and fighting for Survival. The Reason for the Civil War was the Age of the Emperor. He had no children, no Legitimate Heir, and No disciple. He was Alone till the End of his Lifetime.

While the Imperial City was in Ruined, The Imperial Castle was still under siege. It was attacked by the Factions that defected when the Civil War began. They started the War and planned to conquer the Empire for themselves. It was also hard for them to siege the Castle alone. The Imperial Castle was the Home of the Emperor. It was a Giant Fortress that needed multiple forces to break through the Gigantic walls.

As the Siege of the Imperial Castle continued. In the Imperial Castle, There was a Throne Room. It was a Gigantic Hall that leads to the Golden Throne of the Emperor. There was an Old Woman that was calmly walking towards the Throne Room of the Imperial Castle. She arrives at the Throne Room and saw an Old Man sitting upon the Golden Throne.

"Emperor, Why haven't you evacuated yet!!?!"

The Old Woman asked as she was confused why the Nation's Heart was still within the Sieged Imperial Castle. She thought their Emperor already evacuated, but it seems that the Information was rather incorrect. The Old Man that was called Emperor had a look of boredom on his face. He stared at the Old Woman and shook his head with no signs of leaving his Golden Throne. The Emperor then spoke with his Grand and Cold Voice to the Old Woman.

"Why would I leave my Golden Throne? Only Cowards leave their Own Throne and Castle." The Emperor stared at the Cold Woman with a Cold Expression. The Atmosphere within the Room was slowly changing, but the Old Woman was unaffected by it. The Old Woman hearing the Emperor furrowed her Eyebrows and spoke with a Rude Voice.

"Don't be foolish, Emperor! We can take back the Imperial Castle as long as you are alive."

"You still don't understand what I'm trying to say, My Foolish Assistant..." The Emperor said as a smile slowly formed on his face. The smile was just a mask he used to hide his sorrow. He expected the Betrayal, but it was unexpected for it to hit in his last years. Many Subordinates also had high hopes for him. After all, He was the Man that conquered the World and made the Eternal Empire.

"I'm Old and Weak. I'm reaching the Limit of my Life. Have you forgotten about my Age?" The Emperor raised an Eyebrow while reminding the Old Woman of his Condition. He was lucky to be alive this long in this Era. Most of his Acquaintances were dead, and even the Kids he took care of were getting older.

"Y-you're giving up?" The Old Woman asked with a shaken voice. She never thought that the Emperor that was Prideful and Strong was giving up. She always idolized the Emperor despite her Rude Tone. "You may look at me as if I was a Deity, But I hope you remembered that I am still a Human." The Emperor spoke with a saddened tone. His Grand and Cold tone disappeared.

The Old Woman lowered her Head and gritted her teeth. She didn't know how to feel by such revelation. Her Fantasy that started in her Childhood was broken apart. But she then remembered that the Emperor took the Role of the Supreme Ruler. She forgot the Important Fact that the Emperor was a human... Like her.

"I'm sorry for such Negligence, My Emperor." The Old Woman kneeled to the Emperor. She didn't know how to make up for such failure. It even took decades for her to realize such an important fact. She was a Failure as a Subordinate and as an Assistant. The Emperor seeing her kneeling to him, spoke.

"Merra, you should leave the Castle. Your Job is already finished, and You have completed your servitude. There is no need for you to stay in this Castle." The Emperor wanted his Assistant to leave. She was the only one that was rude to him despite his Status. Her suggestions were good, and she contributed a lot to his Empire.

The Old Woman sighed and shook her head. She looked at the Emperor right in his Eye, signifying the End of her Servitude. She then spoke with a Calm Voice. "My Servitude has ended, but I would rather stay with the Emperor's side until the end." The Old Woman had a Smile on her face. Even though her Service has ended, She wanted to stay with the Emperor.

"You really are Foolish." The Emperor grinned at the Old Woman. "Right back at you." The Old Woman also grinned. The Two of them then laughed together for the First Time. The Barrier between a Master and a Servant has slowly broken apart. The Door to the Throne Room slowly opened, revealing the Imperial Soldiers.

They heard the Emperor was rather a Cold, Strick, and Serious Man. The Emperor in front of them was different than the rumors they heard. The Imperial Soldiers then kneeled to the Emperor and shouted with Respect. "We, the Imperial Soldiers, Swear to Protect the Emperor." "And to Protect the Empire." The Emperor continued their Words, and the Imperial Soldiers nodded and left the Throne Room.

The Whole Throne Room was filled with silence. The Old Woman spoke with his Voice echoing all over the Throne Room. "Emperor, You really are different." The Emperor looked at her and spoke. "My name is Rogue, So call me by my name." The Old Woman then said with a smile. "Then call me by my name, Rogue."

"Sometimes, I wonder what duty I failed to accomplish." The Emperor spoke while staring at the Door of his Throne Room. He could easily hide his Emotions that he lost sight of who he really was. There were no people that manage to Penetrate through his Cold and Serious Mask. So he continued until the Mask perfectly integrated with him. He sometimes dreams of living with a Family of his Own.

"You didn't fail anything, Rogue," Merra said with confidence. The Emperor was perfect at accomplishing his Duty. There was only one Flaw that was so obvious that sometimes it wasn't considered a Flaw. "Then how did my Empire fall into ruins?" Rogue asked Merra an Important Question about himself.

"I'll be honest, Rogue. Even though you led Armies and Conquered the World, You were still alone and had no one other than yourself. You created a Wall between you and the people around you. The Wall grew thicker and thicker as time passes by. You were slowly turning into something different than a Human." Merra turned her head and looked at Rogue with her Clear Brown Eyes.

"The True you seems to be approachable than the Emperor you." Merra shook her head while Rogue contemplated her Words. He thought that his Residents hated him, but it seems that it was a misunderstanding. Merra then continued with her words. "Have you ever thought why the Civil War started with you reaching the end of your Lifetime?"

Rogue assumed that they were preparing for the Perfect Time to begin the Civil War. With Merra's Words, He had a feeling that most people feared him. He forgot that even though he was weak. He was the man that conquered the World and made an Empire. He too depressed at seeing his Limits that he forgot that he was the strongest human. The human that reached the Peak of Humanity's Biological Strength.

"Well, That was unexpected." Rogue smiled as he didn't know how he was supposed to feel. He wondered if a Second chance exists. He wondered if he could find a way to go past the Limits of Humanity. He didn't care if he would lose or exchange something important to him. He wanted to gain the ability to get stronger without any limits.

"Merra, do you believe in Reincarnation?" Rogue asked Merra who was right next to him. Merra thought about Reincarnation and spoke with a calm tone. "Well, It would be interesting if the two of us meet again in our next lives. If our memories are kept, We might reach into an Unimaginable height that this World would look like a kid's achievement."

"That is true..."

A Piercing Sound then echoed all over the Imperial Capital. It was a Siren of an Airraid Alarm. Rogue and Merra could hear the sound, and it seems that the Target was the Imperial castle. Another Faction wanted to destroy the Imperial Castle. The Revolution would end, and the Empire would split apart.

"It seems that our talk is about to end, Merra."

"It is disappointing, but it was good talking to you, Emperor Rogue."

The Bright Light of Creation then shone within the Imperial Capital. The Bright Light came from a Bomb that was dropped upon the Imperial Castle. It was so bright that it illuminated like a Rising Sun. The Bright Light of Creation then slowly dimmed, and a Mushroom cloud appeared in its Place. A Shockwave then echoed all over the Imperial Capital.

*BOOM!!!*

――――――――――――――――

After the Bright Light engulfed his Sight, Rogue couldn't see anything but Darkness. He couldn't feel his body, but he felt as if he was floating in some unknown space. He had no Limbs and no Senses. He had nothing that resembles his Human Counterpart. Rogue was still calm even though he was surrounded by Eternal Darkness. He gathered his thoughts for him to stop getting insane.

'Where am I?' Rogue thought to himself. He continued checking everything, but in the end, It was all for naught. He began thinking about what this place and what his current condition was. After a while of thinking, Rogue came up with many theories regarding his Current Situation, but there was only one that made sense.

'I'm dead... Is this Afterlife? Is this Darkness what comes after death?' Rogue thought about the One Theory that made sense. He wasn't a Human swayed by Religion. He didn't believe anything about Religion as he already explored the World and found everything they said quite lacking in information.

'I thought that there was a place for the Damned and a place for the Virtuous.' Rogue needed to paint a picture of his Current Situation. Although he didn't believe in the Scriptures of Religion, the Human imagination of the afterlife was quite interesting. He didn't feel any emotions within his mind. He was rational and cold. He didn't have a body that could help him convey his emotions.

'The Afterlife is Eternal Nothingness. My Consciousness would be wandering in this Vast Empty Space with nothing but myself talking to myself. It is quite horrifying for normal people to experience such a state, but it is better than getting erased from Existence.' Rogue thought as he expected to get disintegrated and sleep for eternity after his death.

Rogue began using his Consciousness to feel something but such a method didn't work. He didn't know if he had his neck to look around as he couldn't feel his movements. While Rogue was trapped within the Eternal Darkness, He could see a Bright Light blinking in front of him. He didn't know if it was real or a hallucination, so Rogue decided to investigate.

The Bright Light blinking within the Eternal Darkness slowly grown in size. Its Light slowly illuminated the Eternal Darkness that imprisoned Rogue's consciousness. Rogue didn't know what to do as he couldn't move. The Bright Light then engulfed him whole something strange happened. An Ancient and Monotone Voice echoed within his mind.

*Do you wish for Power?*

The Ancient and Monotone Voice asked Rogue a question. Hearing the Question, Rogue didn't know if he should answer the question or not. 'Let's answer it.' Since there was nothing he could do about it, Rogue decided to answer the Question given to him by the Strange Ancient Being that illuminated the Eternal Darkness.

'Yes...'

Another Question then echoed within his Consciousness.

*Do you seek for Power?*

Such a question unexpectedly hits Rogue's consciousness. Ever since he realized the Truth of Power, He sought for it and even conquered the world to achieve it. It was a Question that was within Rogue's Heart. Does he seek Power? Rogue hardened his Will and answered. 'I yearn for Power.'

*Would you do everything for Power?*

He wanted Power and had done everything he could do to gain it. The Empire he created was just the result of his journey on gaining power. 'Would I do everything for power?' Rogue asked himself. He wanted to ask his true self. He then gained clarity for the first time, and he began casting his doubts away from his heart. He then answered the question. 'Anything for Power!'

*Then your journey has just begun.*

'W-what?' Rogue was confused as a Bright Light illuminated out of nowhere. The Bright Light then engulfed Rogue leaving him no time to react. He didn't know what happen, but he could feel that he was losing his consciousness. 'What is happening?' This was his Last Thought, and The Ancient Monotone Voice then gave its Last Message.

*Champion, Achieve True Power...*

――――――――――――――――

In the Military Compound with an Unknown Location. There were Two High Ranking Officers walking through the Hallway. The Two of them were wearing their Military uniforms, and they had Buff Bodies with Handsome Faces. They walked calmly through the Hallway until one of them decided to talk about the subject at hand.

"An Interview with someone special is about to start. Do you have any information about the Interviewee?" The Officer asked calmly as they continued walking through the Hallway. They passed through Beautiful Antique Paintings, and the Officer's question was finally answered. "We have no Information about the Interviewee. Captain has given us the Responsibility to take care of the Interviewee and wait as the Captain is still talking to the Central Imperium."

"I see... Did he call the Central Imperium due to the Interviewee?" The Officer then asked a new question. The Officer right next to him shook his head and answered. "I don't know, but the Interviewee seems to be special." The Two Officers finally arrive at the Main Office, and one of them opened the Door.

The Door creaked slowly as the Two Officers entered the Main Office. They looked around to find the Interview. They couldn't find anyone within the Main Office. They were confused until they walked towards the Couches and found a Kid calmly sitting on it. It was a Little Girl that was possibly 5-year-old to 8-year-old.

"Is she the Captain's Daughter?" One of the Officers asked until the Officer denied such words. "Impossible, The Captain isn't in a relationship with anyone." The Two of them were whispering, and they quickly noticed the Little Girl looking at the two of them. She titled her head with curiosity while analyzing every part of the Officers.

The Little Girl had White Silver Hair and Golden Amber Eyes. She had a Tiny Body and Pale White Skin. She had Four Bracelets in her Arms and Legs. She was wearing Normal Clothes, and she seemed to have no guardian with her. The Trio continued investigating each other until someone opened the Office. It was the Captain of the Military Compound.

The Captain looked at the Trio and sat on his Chair. The Two Officers were standing right beside the Little Girl. The Captain stares at the Little Girl as he couldn't believe the Information he gained. He then asked an Important Question to the Little Girl. "Little Girl, Why do you want to join the Military?"

The Little Girl hearing his Question, stares at him with her Golden Amber Eyes. She blinks and answered the Question in a Serious Tone with a Soft Voice. "I want to serve the Empire." The Captain, hearing the Answer, raised an Eyebrow and spoke. "You can take your time to grow and wait until you're 15. Although your Awakening is quite early, You can still have the chance to be normal."

The Two Officers right next to the Girl were surprised at the Little Girl planning to Join the Military. Child Soldiers weren't allowed, and they had no use to the Military. But they were shocked at the Early Awakening of the Little Girl. Early Awakening was uncommon as the Age varies by One or Two years from the Original Age of Fifteen Awakening Law.

"I want to join the Military at an Early Age." The Little Girl declined the Captain's Offer. The Two Officers had no words and continued standing right beside the Little Girl. The Captain furrowed his Eyebrows and asked. "Why?" The Little Girl then honestly answered with her Soft Voice.

"I don't have any Family Members. I am from an Orphanage. I am Alone in this Reality. But I have a Dream..." The Little Girl had a Confident Expression plastered on her face. "What is this Dream?" The Officer right beside the Little Girl asked. The Little Girl turned her head to look at the Officer and answered.

"To reach True Power..."

"I see... That is a Simple yet Complicated Answer. You are quite Ambitious, Little Girl. I cannot let you join the Military, but there is a test for an Awakening. Whether your Ability has the Potential or not, You will not Join the Military for now." The Captain said as the Little Girl nodded in understanding. She seems to be confident in her ability, and she had a strange aura. 'A Leader's Aura, perhaps?' The Captain Thought.

After a while of thinking, The Captain realized that he forgot to ask the Little Girl's name. "What is your name, Little Girl?" The Captain asked as the Two Officers listened in Curiosity. The Little Girl's Golden Amber Eyes gleam. She answered and gave her name to the Captain with her Soft Voice.

"My name is Rogue, An Orphan of the Imperium."
