She couldn't stop thinking about Shawn. He didn't touch her or do anything nasty to her. But she couldn't fully trust him since he was a stranger. He was very cute and rich, from the first time Brianna made her approach him. She couldn't get him out of her head. She didn't want to accept that his cuteness made her feel hopeless. Shawn is the type of guy who would make all the ladies around him ogle at him. But Cat didn't want to fall for this, to her maybe he wasn't the good guy he looked like. Even though he didn't do anything to her when he took her to his place, she couldn't trust him still.
Even though something in her was telling her that he's a good guy and she had nothing to worry about. She couldn't stop herself from worrying about him and how he was staring at her when she woke up beside him. His stares weren't the kind of stares of admiration. He was always staring at her like he was interrogating her and that made her uncomfortable each time she was around him.
She sighs heavily trying to concentrate on what she was doing. Since she had finished Campus, she was applying for a job. She tried to look for different jobs according to the course she pursued of fashion designing but all her efforts were for naught. She was becoming tired of applying for a job and not getting good feedback. She decides to apply for jobs that didn't match her qualifications. To her surprise, she was accepted and told to attend the interview in two days. The corners of her lips curved up as she was overwhelmed with joy. The smile flickered across her face like a hologram. Her smile was like a beam of light that illuminated hope in her life. She didn't come from a poor family but she had a reason why she chose to live like a normal human who went to campus to study then search for a job.
"At last will now start having my cash", she says staring at the laptop. She couldn't wait for that day when she will go to that interview to get that job. She was certain that she will get the job since she never failed in anything she did. Brianna starts to open the door. Since she had the house keys, Cat decides to lay on the couch and pretend that she had fallen asleep.
"Girl... wake up", Brianna taps her shoulder attempting to wake her up. Cat yawns rubbing her eyes. She was so good at acting.
"I have dinner it's yummy I bet you will love it", Since it was already dusk. Brianna decided to buy food. She wasn't a fan of cooking so most of the time when Cat didn't feel like cooking. Brianna opted to buy food.
"It smells yummy", Cat says with a slight grin on her face.
"Yes, it is. What have you been doing? Your laptop is still on", Being the nosy type of person. She doesn't let Cat inform her what she was doing. She decides to check out what she was doing herself.
"Wow, this is amazing. You have secured a very good job", Brianna says as her eyes are glued on the laptop.
"Yes... I will be the personal assistant for the company's director if I get the job", Cat mentions. She was optimistic that she would get the job. Even though she has never been a personal assistant to anyone ever. She was certain that, she would be able to do the job well.
"This is great news. We should celebrate first you have found your prince charming then second you have secured a job in the biggest company in this country", Brianna's eyes lightened up. She was genuinely happy for her friend.
"No, you are just exaggerating everything. I mean he's not my prince charming at all", Cat denied it. She didn't see Shawn as her prince charming in any way.
"He's probably one of the frogs in my life", Cat mentions she always loved to see the negative side of anything.
"No, you never know maybe he's your prince charming. You should call him now and ask him the best time for you to give him his sweatsuit. Who knows you might be lucky and win him over", Brianna just wanted the best for her friend who was always uninterested in everything. Cat didn't like going to parties more often when she was on campus. She never liked hanging around most of the people around campus other than Zack and Brianna. They were the only close friends she had on campus. The rest were just casual friends.
"Yes I agree I have to call him and give him his suit", she agrees that returning the cloth was the best thing to do other than to wait for him to call.
"Do you have the card...", Brianna raised a brow at her.
"No I threw it but have saved his number", Cat mentioned. Brianna started to tiss her because she had saved his number already. She was claiming that Cat was crushing on him even though she didn't want to admit it.
"Am not crushing on him. Stop exaggerating everything. He's not my prince and ain't a Cinderella", Cat wasn't going to accept her claims. Brianna already knew how she thought. She decides to let the matter go and accept that she wasn't crushing on him.
"Okay madam I accept. Let's now eat before the food becomes cold", She mentioned as she headed to the kitchen area to get their plates and spoons. Cat was amused by the aroma that was coming from the food. She sniffed the air as she let the sweet aroma of the food penetrate inside her nostrils.
She popped a meatball into her mouth. "It's yummy I love this Brianna", she said with a mouth full of the meatball.
"Yes it is since am working. I wanted us to have a delicious meal", Brianna was the best friend Cat has. Even though they didn't know each other for the longest time ever. Their friendship was inseparable.
"Yes, next time will buy you a full chicken. Thank you so much for this", Cat's lips curved up slightly as she stared at her plate of meatballs.
