Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:I'm Sorry

"you're highness, duke you're presence is needed in the palace,her highness the Princess..... she...".

"What happened to her?".

"She's unconscious for the last two days,I don't really know what happened but all I know is the situation in the palace this past days has been busy they are waiting for the princess to wake up,I think I know why they summon you....I think it's about the engagement which the Princess really hates"

"Prepare the carriage let us go to the palace this instance"

'Princess please be okay if it is the engagement you're worried about,I don't care,I will quickly agree to break it if that's what you really want,just please be okay'.

Dazzling room painted in white,decorated beautifully,you can see that it was really tied and was thoroughly cleaned.

Gold patterns are to be seen within the walls with crystal's stick out on every corner of the large room.

Exquisite chandeliers,valuable vases,large open windows,letting in the fresh air,making the curtains flew freely,despite

the scenery of the aesthetic royal room,it cannot compare to the beauty of the girl lying unconscious on the large bed,all in all it looks like an unworldly realistic painting,truly a one of a kind piece.

"Linda,tell me what happen" a glint of sadness and worries can be seen in his voice.

'H..his.... voice, its familiar,could it be...him?'

"Duke with all due respect,her highness has been like that for the past few days,the doctor said that she might have a huge trauma,considering her behavior,she has been screaming,and crying since she woke up that morning,its the first time i saw the princess like that...*sob*...and now she has been lying there,sleeping.....*sob*...and she hasn't even eaten anything...*sobb*...im afraid..*sobbing*Duke please do something,her highness is hurting".

"Then,hand me that soup"he replied

"Yes of course,Duke"she immediately brushed away her tears,and handed over the prepared soup to him,(the duke)"

"Call us when were needed,we'll gladly to obliged"then away the princess servant go leaving the two.

"What's the situation"

The man clothe in a military uniform,the emblem in his chest shone brightly as he walk around the dark room,a little devilish smile was formed on its lips.

"The princess is now unconscious,the medicine she drank is keeping her unconscious,the Duke was secretly called by the king".The man dressed in black responded,and soon disappeared within the shadows of the dark office.

"Well,we must go already,we cant keep the princess in waiting,im sure the Duke cant do anything about it,besides the princess doesn't like him,she's deeply infatuated with me" he sat on his desk, as he leisurely sipped his red wine.

"Of course,who would come to like a bloody soldier like him"a woman dressed in a nightgown seductively drew closer to his lap,while untangling her seamless clothing.

"Your right my love"the man responded with an endearing voice as he slowly kissed her exposed neck.

'Its been already past midnight and he's still here....sleeping,how come i didnt even notice ...that he's been here with me when i needed company the most,just why was i so blind...*sob*....Augh..that bastard Charles he's really ....*sob*..bad..now that i think about it,he's really bold enough to give me that sleeping medicine,he's dangerous,also that doctor who's under him really?...trauma...how impudent of him lying face to face to the father of this nation,he's really something'.

"mhmmm...ackkk.."

Alex carelessly fell from the chair,where he was sitting before,that resulting for him to wake up from his deep sleep.

"Aahhh...Duke?"the lovely and endearing voice made the man on the floor came back to his senses.

"Princess?.."He immediately stood up where he fell,carefully corrected his posture,tidied up his black uniform and again sat on the chair facing the beautiful lady resting her head on the headboard of her bed.

"Why are you here Duke?"sabrina immediately wiped the tears on her cheeks,hiding it from him.

"Your crying...why?"

He instinctively came to her,and drew closer to see her face,attempting to hold her cheeks, but was stunned to see her tears falling down,thinking that he made a mistake,he immediately returned to his seat and apologize beforehand for his rude behavior,but was immediately cut off by her.

"Im really sorry for my rude behavior your highness,if my presence is making you uncomfortable, i'll go,just please don't cry..."

"Nooo....*sob*...its nothing so please..."

Attempting to stand,leaving her behind,thinking it was his fault that made her cry,he was irritated by himself,thinking if he were that marquis(charles),she might not find him uncomfortable.Maybe the princess hates his eyes because of its bloody color,he was known as the merciless duke,or even the demon himself,red shot eyes,utterly disgusting that's what they say about him.Does she find him unattractive?

Drowning in his wild thoughts,the princess came down from her bed,not even minding her flowing tears,and her injured hand,she approached him from behind and embraced his back,forgetting her mistakes before, she's afraid that if she let him go he'll be gone forever.

"Princess?"

The Duke who was immersed from his thoughts,was startled by her sudden hug.

"Im sorry Alex...please don't leave..."
