Isabel looked out from behind the carriage curtains. They had arrived in Lindheim after nearly two hours of travel.
"We have arrived at Lindheim Lady Elizabeth. The town is really bustling.", Isabel gestured for Iris to look out the window.
Iris peeked from behind the curtains of her carriage.
The Royal City of Lindheim is the capital of the Edetish kingdom. It has a detailed classical architecture and is full of towering buildings. The streets look lively even though night is approaching.
You can see carriages and people passing by on the street. The lights were shining brightly illuminating the streets. Even though everything looks beautiful, Iris just stares silently.
Noticing Iris' nervousness, Isabel held her shoulder, "Don't worry Iris. You look beautiful. I'm sure Duke Greyson will be amazed. Everything will go well."
Iris squeezed both of her hands, "That's not the only thing I'm worried about. I'm afraid that if I do something embarrassing…. like I don't know the topic he's discussing…. or maybe I look boring. It's my first time going to the opera with someone I just met. I hope I can make a good first impression."
Isabel patted Iris's back gently, "Duke Greyson invited you first. You have nothing to fear. I think if he invited you first it means he's interested in you. Do the same thing you did the last time and be confident in yourself."
Iris took a deep breath and exhaled slowly then looked at Isabel with a calm gaze, "You're right. Thank you, Isabel."
Carriage walked and arrived in front of the Grand center of the Opera House.
The large and striking looking Opera House located in the middle of Lindheim. There was a crowd in front of the opera house. Many posters of the diva are displayed in opera houses.
Malcolm opened the carriage door. He looked neat in a suit.
"We have arrived at our destination, Lady Elizabeth."
Isabel helped Iris get off the carriage. Iris gazed at the opera house in awe.
Isabel approached Malcolm and whispered, "Wait around here. I will meet you after dropping Lady Elizabeth off."
He nodded.
Isabel and Iris walked into the lobby of the opera house which seemed full. People seemed to be waiting for the show to open.
"Iris, you've finally arrived.", Duke Greyson walked over to them. He then kissed Iris hand.
"So, this is what is meant by the little secret written on the greeting card.", Isabel muttered to herself.
"Leon, thank you for the invitation."
"I'm the one who thank you for accepting my invitation, Iris," replied Leon, who had not let go of his grip on Iris hand.
"Ahem.", Isabel pretended to cough.
"Ah Isabel, I did not see you. Thank you for delivering Iris to this opera house safely.", Leon turned and smiled at Isabel without letting go of his grip on Iris.
Isabel glared at Leon but instead Leon kept smiling and didn't respond to Isabel's annoyed look.
There was an announcement that the show was about to start and the entrance was opened. People start to move.
Ah, the show is about to begin. We'll be inside soon, Isabel. Surely you didn't expect to come inside, did you? Since I only prepared two tickets for Iris and I."
"Of course, My Lord. I already know that. It's just that I hope to accompany My Lady as much as possible.", Isabel answered flatly.
"There's no need to worry, Isabel. I'll take good care of her. Alright, we'll go to our seats in the VIP room." Leon then took Iris away.
Iris smiled as she waved her hand at Isabel. Leon led Iris through the crowd and up the stairs.
Isabel watched them from a distance. Now all she could do was wait until the opera was over. She was getting ready to leave the lobby when her gaze shifted to a familiar face.
Isabel felt like her heart was going to let go. Her face paled and her hands trembled.
The person was walking towards the exit and left the lobby. Realizing that the person would soon disappear into the crowd, Isabel clenched her trembling fists and immediately rushed after that person.
Malcolm who saw Isabel leave the building in a hurry, tried to call her but Isabel did not hear him.
Isabel looked left and right to find the person.
The woman Isabel was looking for is seen walking across the street away from the opera house. Isabel immediately took a step quickly.
"There's no mistake…That's it! Even though she changed her appearance but…that face…didn't change…I still recognized her. There's no mistake...it's Morrigan. Why is she here? Does that mean she managed to survive and get out of Nova Mesto???", muttered Isabel with a raging mind.
The woman walked into a crowded alley.
Sneaking around while blending in among the people. Isabel followed her. She was trying not to be found out.
The woman stopped for a moment in front of the shop window and then walked again.
The alley that was passed was getting busier, Isabel tried to speed up her steps so as not to lose track.
Especially when the woman suddenly turned a corner, Isabel immediately ran through the crowd of people. However, in her haste, she bumped into a granny when she came to a turn.
"I'm sorry." Isabel hurriedly held her before the granny fell and immediately turned away.
Isabel ran all the way to the end past a large crowd of people. With an irritated face, she looked around her. Making sure she didn't miss anything.
"Shit!", Isabel said while controlling her breath. She lost track of the woman.
Without realizing it.
From a distance the granny looked at Isabel. The granny then turned and walked away from that place.
In the dim night and in the crowd. No one noticed when the granny changed her appearance in an instant to a beautiful woman known to Isabel as Morrigan.
Although now there is a minor difference, the hair is brown. But she still looks beautiful in her red dress.
