To say the western continent was big was an understatement. Thousands of tribes and kingdoms filled it and each was at least hundreds of miles wide. But even with the great quantity of forces, true and powerful ones were not so numerous. In the northern ice lands the Nix Tribe, the Ice Runeship Alliance and the Crystal Kingdom dominated. They were the true players with thousands of forces behind them.
The Nix tribe laid on the northern ice coasts and was both a victim and perpetrator of attacks by and against eastern forces. They had formed a great and vicious rivalry against the Zhao Magistrate. Even with the enormous and perilous ocean that divided them, they still fought and engaged in raids.
Today was different, though, the coastal guard towers saw a "common" sight, eastern warships, and ran to ring the alarms, but instead of the usual intimidation and long range fire that the soldiers regularly received, the boats started making their way to land. Moreover, instead of the usual one or two boats, dozens laid on the horizon.
Unknown to them, Zhao Bao, the Zhao Marquis, had formed an alliance with the Lunar Sky Sect to completely eradicate the tribe.
On the deck of the largest warship, a man with long black hair and amber eyes revealed a grin as he saw the countless ships make landfall. Next to him stood a similarly black haired man with strands of white hair indicative of his age, but contrary to the face full of emotion that the amber eyed man showed he remained stoic.
"You really surprised me Senior Wen, who would've thought your oh so mighty sect would accept my measly offer to attack the Nix savages" said the Zhao Marquis full of sarcasm and contempt.
"This elder is just following the sect leader's command" responded Elder Wen maintaining his unmoved face as if he hadn't noticed the obvious sarcasm that laced the Marquis' speech.
"Regardless, that old Nix bastard is at the Rune Lord level so I hope you fulfill your part of the agreement."
"Relax, the sect leader sent me knowing of my breakthrough to high core realization realm, combined with your low core realization realm he stands no chance"
At the mention of his breakthrough, Zhao Bao unconsciously gulped and stopped his sarcastic comments thinking 'if he, a mear elder, is at this level, just how powerful is the Lunar Sky Sect? No wonder his majesty told me to be careful around them'.

As this all happened, in the biggest house in Snow Peak city, the Nix Tribes' home, a few miles from the coast the news of the unprecedented attack had reached the lord's ears. Sporting long white hair and blue eyes, fury started building in Nix Lock, the great Nix lord.
"How dare that Zhao pig dare invade me" he shouted as a powerful blue aura started spreading out and brought the messenger and many others in the room to their knees.
"Lock, calm down, Rose is here" said a beautiful green haired and green eyed woman, the Nix's great lady, Virdi Ash, as she used one arm to half hug Lock's and another to hold a young white haired and green eyed girl's hand.
Seeing his wife and his daughter Nix Rose, Lock calmed down and immediately retracted his great aura which served as the best remainder of his mid Rune Lord level. The soldier released from the oppressive pressure quickly explained the dire situation.
"Lord, there it's not just the Zhao Marquis, ships from the Lunar Sky Sect are also present in the invading force."
Hearing this news, the lord's face grew ugly. Although not many knew of the Lunar Sky Sect's might as they were secretive of it, he was one of the few that did. He had heard that their great ancestor's strength had already surpassed the core realization realm and enter the initial Soul Reach Realm. Moreover, that what just the leader, the elders couldn't be weak either. The always brave leader felt fear for the first time.
"Message the Runeship Alliance, quickly!" At his lord loud exclamation the soldier hurried out of the cabin.
'It seems I will have to hold on until reinforcements arrive'
"Ash, dear, get yourself and Rose to a safe location ill take care of this don't worry" proclaimed the Lock as he hugged his wife and daughter.
Filled with tears Ash quickly complied as she knew it wasn't the time to argue and left the house to go to a safer location. Watching his wife and daughter leave, Lock's face grew serious and also left the house but in the opposite direction.

Explosions, tremors, shouts, cries and more filled the ears of the young Rose as she hid in an underground cave with her mother in the nearby forest looking at the city. Hours passed and eventually everything quieted down. Only the occasional shouts were heard. But, suddenly the shouts grew nearer and eventually three man with eastern complexions appeared in the cave's entrance. 'How did they find this place?' thought Ash.
Ignoring this, she quickly stood up and pushed away Rose telling her everything was alright and to head deeper into the cave as she headed for the three men. Rose started running deeper and the booming sounds that she heard from the cave entrance quieted down with a final 'thud'.
Minutes passed and eventually a similar looking eastern man but covered with blood and scars appeared dragging a bloodied corpse by its long hair.
The man keep walking until he stood right in front of the girl and the corpse that had been unrecognizable from the large distance was clearly visible now. 'Mom?' thought the girl a she stared at the unmoving corpse.
"What a pretty girl." said Zhao Bao as he released a smile that failed to shine through the blood, scars and injuries that laid on his body.
