Chapter 2 - choosing directions

as the group packs their bags and prepares to leave the in there is one thing none of them have realized before this point

^hey i know were going to the north pole but where are we on a map?^cynic asked whilst trying to unstuck some skeleton bones from each other after a spar with frazz.

'lets see from what I can recall we are in Arktemesh the elven country right by the sou... oh that is not good'

~ahhh what have i done wrong this time?~frazz sighs after hearing the set of words always uttered when someone cleans up his mistakes.

'lucky you it wasn't your fault this time, but the problem is... were on the opposite side of the globe from Bazal' Irsa said hope of making it before the next two Polarities are over draining from their voice.

^we can still try to use less than a singularity and a half^answered cy knowing that it would be right before the next selection of bishops to the church.

'i mean we could probably make that but im not sure im willing to risk all of that just for a promotion in a church im not really sure i belive in' Irsa sighed not noticing that Frazz was sneaking of to go check something

------------------------------------------

~so how much did one of those compasses cost?~frazz asked in disbelief at the absurd prisings of the tiny regular looking compasses.

-yeah they sure do cost 500 matheus- the clerk awnsered whilst yawning it was obious that he got questions about these a lot.

~but thats like 90 lifetimes of working for a single complete compass~ frazz repeated not understanding how a simple tracking device could cost so much money.

-actually its closer to 150 lifetimes but yeah- the clerk answered nonchilantly.

~can i at least have a peak so i know what way is north?~ Frazz pleaded just so that they could at least have a vague idea of where they were going.

-no chance, you said it yourself at least 90 lifetimes of work- the clerk replied without a second to waste.

~ugh fine how much does a unfinished paz compass cost?~Frazz finally said giving up entierly on making it back before the next rotation of the planet or even the next 3 polarities.

-sure they cost 1 todd each- the salesman replied hoping to finally get payed for his wasted time.

~yeah i want five of those~Frazz said and after a good round of haggling got the price up to 70 ryans a piece.

--------------------------

~so i found out how much a compass costs whilst you guys were talking and i have decided that were going to have to fill our own paz comasses cus buying a full one is way to expensive for most and all of those in this town~ although treading carefully because saying this would be like planting an entire minefield.

^oooh and how much did all of those compasses cost you?^cy replied whilst holding one of the compasses from the closed bag that Frazz was wearing on his back, not a single one observing the adventures noticed it was like lady luck was smiling on cy or then again perhaps she just doesn't like frazz... you know what i think it's both.

'how the he... you know what nevermind how much did these compasses cost and why did we need so many of them' Irsa asked

~ahh you know just 90 ryans per i bought five so about five todds~

'and why exactly did you buy all of these copasses when we would at most need 2'

~because we can sell them for at least 200 a piece matheus if we complete them~

'ahhh ok thats fair, ok the first object were going to have to activate is the obect of Arktemesh so that we can finally leave this place. any opinions on where to go next' Irsa finally was done arguing about this and they finally moved from town square toward the cathedral
