Chapter 1 - Prologue

Monsters exist. For thousands of years, they lay low as humanity prospered and advanced in technology without a doubt being the dominant species after the War of Men and Beasts ended. Stories of the great past became myths, and legends became fiction. Stories of Legendary Beasts, such as The Immortal Pegasus, The Deep-Sea Kraken, The Everlasting Phoenix, The Enigmatic Unicorn, and Fire-Breathing Dragons, Mermaids, and Fishfolk became no more than Fairy-tales. As these mythical creatures became imaginary in the minds of the common folk. They never could've been more wrong, as 4 years ago, the United Nations decided that it would be best to let the world know of their existence, they timed right as they held a massive annual press conference in Vienna, Austria. Led to two-and-half thousand years of seclusion and secrecy revealed to the world. Now, that historic event took place on April 4th, 2012, and 4 years have passed since then, both people and monsters alike took a while to get used to one another. After that fateful day, the UN decided to pass the Monster and Human Cultural Exchange Act. The bill's purpose is to integrate Monsters into human society through business, agriculture, and so on to improve relations between the races.

The UN, Knights of Night, CIA, MI6, and other intelligence agencies from across the world work closely together to keep the presence of Monsters void and silent, but that was prior to the bill being passed.

Now, we, the Knights merely act as a Counter-Insurgency, Counter-Terrorism, and Humanitarian Aid to both Man and Monster in need and a Police Force in international branches to enforce the law that was passed during the aftermath of the revelation.

And this is where I come in. Here's the story of me, an Assassin, a long-time operator trying to fit in and trying to take a shot at a normal life all while juggling the duties of a Knight.
