'Huh!? Half-naked bug in the form of Elf?'
Without giving me any chance to answer the man leaned towards me and started smelling me , he walked around me checking my body out. After checking me out he had a surprised expression on his face.
"You... Are you a Half-Elf?"
Hearing his words surprised me too but not as much as his comrades.
'Even if I'm a half-elf I wouldn't care much about it , cause in the end when it came to surviving all I will have are my mage powers. But why are they so surprised? Is half-elf supposed to be that special.'
'Wait! If I'm a half-elf then their must be humans in this world , could it be I'm the same world but this part was hidden by the- No that can't be it. But it's still a possibility , if that's so then I can probably visit my parents again.'
Knowing that I had to answer I just followed him and said ,
"Yes , I'm a Half-Elf. My mother was a human and my father was an elf."
After saying that I saw the black hoods murmuring between themselves.

All of the black hoods maintained a safe distance from Zafrix so that he couldn't hear and started their discussion.
"Hey , do you know how my parents were?"
asked the man with golden eyes.
"Yes master , just like he said your mother was a human too while your father was elf. If what he is saying is right then wouldn't it be according to the prophecy?"
"But the prophecy didn't mention two-"
"Shut up , don't talk about that dead prophecy. I'm still suffering because of that , anyways if he's a half-elf then let's assign him to defend this village."
"But master if we leave him here he wouldn't even survive a night."
"Yeah , even though his speed technique was admirable. Leaving him to defend 'Agrol' isn't the best idea."
The man with golden eye was somewhat angry as his idea was denied by his servants.
"Then what do you suggest to do? Should we just let him roam?"
"Master Vel how about we help him and make him one of our comrades?"
"You fool , do you even know what you're saying? I'm the only Half-Elf in the whole world right now and these Celdius's Golden eyes are blessed to me by the God himself. Do you wish to risk my life by keeping him near me?"
"N-No master , I just gave a mere suggestion. Don't take my words too seriously , we know that you'll make the right decision."
The man who suggested the idea broke into sweat and thought ,
'What a foolish master , even though he is a Half-Elf who is supposed to be our saviour and enlighten us all he does is to think about himself. Is he really the one from prophecy?'
Then the man looked at his shining golden eyes.
'No , he must be the one from prophecy. He has to be the one from prophecy , or else the years I've been serving him will be of waste.'
Vel , the only Half-Elf in the whole world. That was until Zafrix arrived. The prophecy said that the one who will enlighten this world and bring the change will be a Half-Elf. The reason it was hard coming across a half-elf was because Human and Elf were enemies.
Before anyone knew about the prophecy the Human Kingdom and Elf Kingdom was already established , after getting the prophecy the Kings of both Kingdoms were scared that this half-elf might take their power away. To stop this they separated both Kingdoms and said they were enemies as a front.
This was one of the reason why half-elf were come across other reason was that cross between Elf and Human wasn't always half-elf. Hence , low probability also made half-elf rare.
'But then master Vel appeared , he has to be from the prophecy. Let's just follow him for now and see where it'll take me.'
The man who was shared these thoughts was Vel's right hand and closest person to him , Houk. One of the earliest followers of Vel , he supported Vel from the start of this organization called 'Black Hoods'.
Opposing these Black Hoods were human's faction 'White Hoods , their main objectives were to keep the villages safe and sometimes invade Human Kingdom to spy on them.
"Master Vel , I also think we should befriend him but-"
"Didn't I just tell you?"
"Master Vel , my idea's the same as Houk's and I think it'll work well if we assigned him to village like this which is in the outskirts of the Kingdom. That way you'll be safe from him and we can keep and eye on him by sending some low ranked hoods."
'Wait don't tell me that master Vel didn't understand my plan... again.'
By following Vel for few years Houk got to know that Vel wasn't the best when it came to thinking of a plan , which was why Vel always took help of Houk's plan.
But this time Vel annoyed by Zafrix and couldn't think properly , the plan he came with didn't even make sense and when Houk pointed that out Vel became angry. Hence he already declared Houk's plan was sh*t , but when explained by other hood Vel understood and went ahead with that.
'Well I guess for 20 year old kids master Vel is above average.'

The group finally completed their discussion and came to tell me their decision , because of the distance I couldn't hear what they talked about.
'F*ck , only if I was wearing my black hoodie when I died. I'm sure they were dumb enough to think that I'm one of them.'
"Hey , you Half-Elf."
'Oh their attitudes completely changed , I'm sure half-elf's are rare creatures in this world based on their reaction before. Maybe I can use that fact to negotiate? But I should still act kind to them just in case as their decision may change based on my attitude.'
"Y-Yes"
"We've decided that you'll be cleaning this village , you've the potential to be a hood which is why we are keeping you alive. So from today onwards this wilo be your turf to clear."
'Huh!? What the f*ck? I didn't ask for that sh*t. Just leave me alone and I'll be on my way.'
is what I wanted to speak out loud but couldn't as the numbers were against me.
'Even if I used 'Spark' to escape after kicking the big shot in the balls I can't completely escape from them.'
That's when it clicked me , the way to escape and have a care free life.
'Why don't I use this opportunity and train? Last time I was killed right after I unlocked my channels maybe this time will be different. I'm sure I can obtain other attributes too as I progress.'
I kneeled down on one of my knees and thanked the big shot.
"Thank you Master-"
"Master Vel."
"Thank you , Master Vel."
"Well then now that you've been assigned here , I'll introduce our organization 'Black Hoods'."
'Lol , the name of the group was what I called them.'
I couldn't help laughing and started shaking as I held my laughter back , noticing my shaking body Vel said ,
"Hey , why are you shaking?"
"It's just... It's just that Master's organization's name is so terrifying that it scares me which is why I'm shaking from fear , heh."
"Hoho , I see you've finally recognised my power huh. It's okay don't be scared , we are on the same team."
"Y-Yes Master Vel."
"Then I should continue with what I was saying , we will be leaving this village in few hours so quickly pack your stuff."
'I can't leave this village that quest i still going on right?'
"Umm master , I don't have any stuff to carry with me but-"
Interrupting what I was saying , Vel threw a black robe on my face and said ,
"I see , then wear this robe and we'll leave right away."
'Ah damn it , I can't just go like that. I don't even know how much time is remaining , how can I see the remaining time anyways? Hey system show me the time remaining for the quest.'
Right after giving the command a white screen appeared before with a timer on it.
