Chapter 8 - Part 8: Who

Verona and Delia went to the farthest part of the river that flows through the city. Verona held the potion in her hand. They were alone and made sure of it because No one should ever see Delia before she changed her hair color.

It could've been okay but no one else in the city has blonde hair. That's why they had to stay hidden as she changed her appearance.

Verona handed the potion to Delia and she took off the cloth covering her hair.

Delia opened the bottle and drank the black vile. "Finally, a new me." Delia said with a smile.

Verona watched in astonishment as Delia's hair turned dark from the roots until it became black. She became an entirely different person. "You can go around safely now, Delia." Verona said with a smile.

Delia nodded and threw the bottle in the river. "I can." Delia said as she looked at her reflection on the water. "I wanted to find somebody for a long time." She said with a grin.

Verona nodded. 'She must've been wanting to fall in love and settle down as well.' She sadly smiles in her head. "Did someone already catch your eye?"

Delia nodded. They talked they walk home. "I've been in love with the same person for almost a few years now. He is an intelligent royal merchant. A well-rounded and down-to-earth gentleman."

Verona smiled. "I bet Tristan knows him. I'll ask once we get home." She happily said.

Delia's eyes held hope and her smile was full of joy. She can finally get the man that she's been in love with for so long.

"Ladies! Need a ride home?" Tristan called out from behind. The two girls turn around to see him in an expensive carriage. "Wow, Delia. You look pretty."

Tristan said and hopped down from the carriage. "Why, thank you so much, Sir Tristan."

Verona looked at Tristan with sadness. 'He only complimented Delia. What about me?" She crossed her arms and looked away. Tristan noticed this and he beamed with laughter.

He enveloped Verona in a tight hug, showering her face with butterfly kisses. "Oh my Verona. Here you are, as always you are more radiant than the sun. All the flowers in this world are put to shame with your beauty." He silently whispered in Verona's ear. "You're so cute when you're jealous, my love but don't be. You already know that you're the only apple of my eye."

Tristan booped Verona's nose with his finger. "My little bunny." Tristan's warmth spread throughout Verona's body and to her heart. Verona hugged him as her cheeks began to turn red. Tristan's smile even grew bigger. Heaven knows that their love is so pure.

Delia looked at them with hope. Hope that she would have to experience the same warmth with someone she loved.

Verona looked at her cousin and she tapped on Tristan's shoulder. "Tristan. Do you by any chance know a royal merchant?"

Tristan nodded with curiosity. "I know many. Do you wish to purchase something? I'll buy you whatever it is." He said with assurance. Verona shook her head which made him frown. "Are you seeing a royal merchant behind my back?"

Verona pinched Tristan's cheeks which made him whine. "What a stupid assumption. I was just asking to help Delia find the person she's had an eye on for a long time. Maybe I can find him myself." Verona said as she released Tristan from her hold.

Tristan pulled Verona back into a tight hug, refusing to see her leave him. "My loooooove. Don't be like this." he whined. "I was just joking. Let me take you both to him."

Verona looked at Delia with a smile. Delia's eyes glimmered. "How splendid"
