Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 Mysterious

```html
This spell bears numerous halos: an Initial Spell of the Mysterious System, the first and last spell of the Mysterious System, the Dibilos Peak before Mysticism, and so on...①
Regarding whether a spell model could exist for this spell, many Mysterious Scholars have diverse opinions, resulting in the formation of two factions.
The Secret Keeping Faction, led by the Secret Keeper Ocar Kunquis, advocates that not all Mysterious System Spells have models; for example, Mystical Technique is merely an external manifestation of some mysterious rule.
Unless you can construct the entire rule itself, a mystical technique model simply doesn't exist!
On the other hand, the Truth Faction, headed by Secret Method Control Anderson Manderson, firmly believes that all Mysterious System Spells have a standard model, and Mystical Technique is no exception!
As long as research is persistently continued, one day, all mysteries will eventually be unraveled!
The argument between the two factions has persisted for hundreds of years, as neither faction has been able to produce definitive proof, and both factions' strongest members are Ninth Rank, unable to 'convince' the other.
To this day, whether there is a model for Mystical Technique remains a highly debated topic.
Despite its legendary background, it cannot obscure the fact that its effect is severely lacking.
As a Mysterious System Spell, Mystical Technique has a very evident advantage: it consumes very little, so little that even the First Rank can cast it easily.
Its effect is also very simple—to randomly bestow some 'mystical characteristic' on a non-magical inanimate object, lasting from a quarter of a Magic Time to a day, depending on the tier of the spellcaster.
The larger the object, the greater the consumption, and if the object suffers significant damage, the effect of the Mystical Technique will vanish.
The so-called mystical characteristics are, in fact, some bizarre and nonsensical effects.
For example, the rock in Anvis's hand, through several minutes of subsequent study, he completely confirmed the mystical technique effect applied to the rock:
Every half a minute, the rock would emit a frog's croak.
In other words, has it now transformed from a [rock] into a [mysterious rock]?
Anvis thought somewhat oddly.
Subsequently, he timed it, and when the next croak emerged from the stone, he attempted to cast a crack on the rock.
Crack is an Earth Element First Rank spell; its effect matches the spell's name: creating a crack in soil or rock.
The rock immediately split in half from the center, yet nothing was inside, and the mystical characteristic on the rock disappeared.
At this point, he also confirmed that this was just a regular Mystical Technique.
"Is this lousy spell really taking up one of my Initial Spell slots??"
This left Anvis, who had originally been full of expectations, very disappointed, but he then slowly snapped out of it and began pondering the issue.
Why would its model be so complex for a spell even the First Rank can afford in consumption?
Unless...it's actually not a spell model at all, but the rule itself!
That is to say, that cluster of fog is merely something akin to a terminal? The fog itself and the endless starry sky within the fog clump are comparable to a computer and a network?
Unexpectedly, the Secret Keeping Faction, who only acts mysterious, really hit upon the truth!
Muttering to himself, Anvis shook his head.
Incidentally, young Anvis used to be a member of the Truth Faction.
Alright, from now on, I am also one of those few wise ones who grasp the truth!
Since it has become my Initial Spell, then what is the difference between it and regular Mystical Technique?
Contemplating this question, Anvis gathered two ordinary Black Iron pieces, two high-quality Demon Crystals, two Low Rank Inscription Swords, two dry trunks, two growing pieces of Wind Bell Grass, and two adult Luo Luo Beasts from various target items.
One had a white mark on its left back and appeared somewhat dispirited.
Anvis's experiment plan was: one group of targets would serve as a control group, receiving regular Mystical Technique.
The other group would receive the Initial Spell version of Mystical Technique, so that a visual comparison of spell effects could be obtained.
Anvis consecutively cast the two types of Mystical Technique on those six items, Black Iron and trunks unsurprisingly acquired mystical characteristics.
One piece of Black Iron shifted colors between black and green, while another began to incessantly seep water droplets.
Trunks would stand upright directly, even tumbling would prompt them to stand again; another twisted itself into a shape like a pretzel and then twisted back.
When testing on the Wind Bell Grass and Luo Luo Beasts, normal spellcasting failed.
However, upon reaching the Demon Crystals and Inscription Swords, the results of the Initial Spell version of Mystical Technique differed from the usual Mystical Technique.
Success!
The high-quality Demon Crystal was an Earth Element Demon Crystal, whose surface originally emitted a faint yellow glow that now turned into a breathing-like uniform rhythm of bright and dim.
The Inscription Sword's density and weight properties remained unchanged, yet the once rigid blade turned soft. When Anvis picked it up, its blade drooped like a dead snake.
Attempting a couple of swings, the blade followed his motion with flexible rotations in the air, exuding a sense of freedom.
Anvis then attempted to 'draw' it towards the piece of Black Iron. With a swoosh, under the influence of the Mystical Technique, the continuously seeping water Black Iron instantly split into two halves.
"The sharpness remains the same, the mystical characteristic indeed is mysterious."
After a brief attribute test, Anvis put the sword and Demon Crystal together, then returned the other target items to their original spots, and the two lucky Luo Luo Beasts were thrown back into their cages.
......Half a Magic Time passed......
The items under regular Mystical Technique had their mystical characteristics vanish after a third of a Magic Time, returning to their original forms.
Meanwhile, the mystical characteristics of the other group of objects persisted, with the Demon Crystal steadily brightening and dimming, and the Inscription Sword remaining soft.
......A Magic Time passed......
Both objects were identical to their state a Magic Time before.
......
Until two Magic Times had passed, the Demon Crystal finally ceased flickering, the Inscription Sword regained its hardness and straightness.
"So it seems, the noticeable changes are twofold: firstly, the extension of spell duration, and secondly the expansion of the spell's effective scope."
"However, due to the mystical nature of Mystical Technique itself, it's uncertain whether its effect underwent any alteration."
Anvis noted these two points in his mind, and using the Mage's Hand, returned the reverted objects to their places.
