Little Dragon returned home and witnessed a scene that nearly made his head explode.
The landlord's servants, a group of fierce-looking men, were dragging his dying mother out of their dilapidated house and throwing her onto the dirt road. Then, they shouted loudly to the people who were peeping around:
"The Black Claw family has been behind half a year on their grain rent. The benevolent Lord Landlord has not pushed for collection until now. But this Black Claw family is ungrateful. They don't tend to their fields diligently and are always absent, god knows where they waste their time."
