Descending from the Heaven Ladder, Anthony wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and hurried back to report, "This Eye of Truth is formidable, I almost got exposed."
Negris asked in confusion, "Exposed?"
"He possesses some sort of Divine Power that allows him to discern what is true from what is false. However, the use of his power is quite limited; I suspect it is activated through question and answer. If any of my responses were untrue, he might see through me," Anthony said.
"That's incredible?" Negris was astonished. "Isn't that just like a lie detector?"
"Yes, a lie detector. When I was talking to him, my heart was pounding, terrified I might say something wrong," Anthony said.
Negris was surprised, "How did you manage to fool him, then?"
"How is that fooling him? I told nothing but the truth," Anthony said with dissatisfaction. "He asked me if I really was the Pope, and I said yes. He asked who I serve, and I said the God of Balance, so he believed me."
