After calming the Relay Spirit, Ange turned and said, "It doesn't have a Soul Network."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Negris asked in surprise.
"It doesn't have a master." Ange rephrased.
"Impossible!" Negris floated over, shocked. "Didn't you say it belongs to Harvey? Its master should be Harvey."
Negris circled around the Relay Spirit. He couldn't get any insights; the spirit of the Relay Spirit was too strong for his level. He couldn't even see its soul clearly, let alone detect any soul impressions inside.
Without a soul imprint, it's masterless. It can't communicate anything that happens to its master through a Soul Network.
In this case, it's actually a good thing. If they were to infuriate Harvey, they would have to make a run for it immediately. He had already been considering how to escape.
