Chapter 33 - Bright Moonlight

A familiar feeling overwhelmed her.

In the past, he liked to hug her like this the most. Under the bright moonlight, the two of them were like conjoined twins, enjoying their time together intimately in the deserted park, and whispering some private, irrelevant topics.

She also loved to lean against his broad chest like that and listen to his heartbeat. She would think that it was the most beautiful piece of music in the world.

However, after four years, his embrace did not bring Su Jin joy but heavy humiliation today.

"How do we start over?"

Lowering her head, her gaze landed on the hand that was hugging her. He was wearing his wedding ring on it. Sunlight shone through the windowsill facing the sun, illuminating the wedding ring so brightly that it blinded her eyes and hurt her heart.

"Be your mistress?"

Her low mocking laugh and the anger hidden deep in her veins suddenly exploded. She used all her strength to rip off his hand. She did not hesitate even if it hurt him.

"That's not what I meant… Listen, let me finish talking!"

He seemed to sense her anger and unconsciously increased the force from his wrist. However, her resistance also increased by a few degrees. At this moment, he let go.

Like a frightened fawn, Su Jin escaped from his arms and drank water to calm herself down.

"I will get a divorce."

As he watched her, Mubai calmly informed her of his decision word for word.

Su Jin paused in her action of drinking water. She wanted to laugh, but she couldn't. She wanted to cry, but there were no tears. Some scenes from four years ago replayed in her mind again.

That was the last weekend of April. When she returned home from school, the house was adorned with lanterns and colorful decorations. The whole place was covered in a brilliant red glow of happiness. She did not understand what was going on and only saw others looking at her with pity. Ridiculous, right? He was getting married, and she was the last to know.
