"Athena!" I jump and look up from my phone, sliding it in my pocket. Ari had her eyebrows raised, staring at me with pursed lips.
"You've been acting a little weird since last night, hun. What's wrong?" She wasn't exactly lying. I've not been myself since I admitted my feelings last night. I couldn't even sleep.
I shook my head as she sat down beside me. I looked around the classroom to see Nolan and Aiden beside each other, half-laughing. Aiden caught my eyes and winked at me. My cheeks burned, and I looked away, tying my hair in a ponytail.
"Ah." Ari glanced at Aiden and then turned to me, a weird expression on her face.
"What?" I scoff out, feeling uncomfortable in her intense gaze.
She rolled her eyes. "Okay, I understand that you plan not to act on your feelings for Aiden somewhere and not act on it. But you have to understand that feelings don't work that way. You have to accept it."
