The Man in Brown Trench coat and sunglasses floated in the air. He knew that the hunk man in front of him is attempting to protect the kid behind him.
He raised his left hand and flicked his thumb and middle fingers.
Suddenly, strong pressure dragged Bark down on the ground. With pure brute strength, Bark tried his best not to be fully pinned on the ground.
Bark's hand glowed and a Gray orb appeared. Bark opened his palmed and aimed it to the floating Man in Brown trench coat.
"Sonic Blast!"
The Man in Brown Trench coat dodged the attack. Bark's attack missed and hit the wall on the cave making the cave rumbled.
Rocks and cave's debris came falling down.
The man in Trench Coat smiled.
"If I'm correct, You are the one they called Bark." The Man in Trench coat asked gently.
The pressure that he gave on Bark didn't vanished, he was still pinning Bark down.
Bark grinned and looked up to the Man floating in the air.
"That's Sergeant Bark for you!" Bark's voice carried a strange powerful volume that could destroy one's eardrums.
The Man in Brown Trench coat frowned and covered his ears in pain.
The pressure that was pinning Bark disappeared. Bark recognized the Element that the Man in Brown Trench coat had used.
It was a rare Element called Gravity. It is one of strongest and rarest of all elements. If a person could train himself with it up to its high extent, one would be indestructible. That overbearing Element is just the first, but the other rarest ones would be trickier too to handle.
Bark had trained his Element to a level that could surpass a level higher than itself. Thanks to Bark's talent, he is much stronger than Rank B Soldiers or Magic Orb users. He could even fight a Rank A magic Orb user!
Bark stood there and made a speculation. "He must have came from a very powerful and rich family or from the government."
The Man in Brown Trench coat stood up slowly and laughed.
"Wow! I've never met someone like you! You hurt me using your obtained Innate ability!" The Man in Brown Trench coat sound so amazed.
"Now, I have respect for you. Let me introduce myself. I'm George Gravitas from Gravitas clan. From the 2nd Family." George introduced himself nicely.
Bark hearing that was dumbfounded. Gravitas Clan are one of the top 12 strongest clan in the world. Gravitas are experts in Rock, Psychic and Wind Magic! They also ruled the neighboring Country of the Fallen God's Country in the west called, Gravel Country. A country that is famous with its rock formations and Rock and Earth Element monsters.
Bark still wore a cold and hard face.
"I don't care." Bark harshly said that made George twitched.
"This insolent, disrespectful, old man!" George angrily shouted inside his head.
"Anyway, My business here doesn't includes you. I only want the orb that that kid have." George looked at Jake coldly.
"What if I won't let you?" Bark said while smirking.
George looked at Bark like a stupid person and wanted to shout at him but he controlled himself.
"Well, I might include you in the dead bodies we found in the cave." George smiled sinisterly.
Bark knew what George meant. If Bark continues to protect Jake, he will be killed and his death wouldn't be justified because they will record it as if he was killed by monsters. It will be convincing too as dying in the mines were very common. Some powerful Sergeants died in the past too because they had encountered powerful monsters in the mines.
"I'm not going to let that happen." Bark was in his combat stance.
George was angry and levitated in the mid-air. He also released his Magic Orb. It was pinkish-white Magic Orb.
Not too long ago, George used magic without using or summoning out his Magic Orb.
It is because he had obtained an Innate Ability with his Magic Orb. Innate Abilities are abilities that can used without summoning the Magic Orb. The user could use it anytime and anywhere without any restrictions, depends on the environment.
Obtaining Innate abilities are very rare when owning a Magic Orb. There are only 20 percent of the population of the world currently owning Innate Abilities.
There are also 5 percent chance to obtain an innate Ability from a Magic Orb. That is why having an Innate Ability is rare.
Innate Abilities are strong but it depends on how the user use it. It gets stronger as his Rank or the Magic Orb he uses levels up.
George's Innate Ability was called Gravity Control. With his level, he can levitate in the air and can enhance the gravity pull and pressurize or suppress the target.
Bark's Innate Ability was called Volume. Volume could travel miles and could go through Solid, Liquid and Gas. It could also be used as a support ability to add power on Bark's attacks and skills. It is a versatile ability. It could be as quiet as a sneaking ninja and loud as the engine of an Airplane.
George cast his skill, Gravity Pull.
Like the last time, Bark was pinned down but its different. It was like Bark was crushed by a falling, largest and longest train!
Bark was felt like his organs and bones were going to crush.
He put his palm on the ground and cast a powerful skill, Death Pulse. The ground rumbled as if it was caused by an earthquake but it isn't. Plus, there is an ear-piercing sound coming from the ground.
Both sides powers were equal and powerful. They were at tie.
George's ears were bleeding and Bark's mouth were dripping with blood.
Jake was amazed by their prowess.
It was outstanding.
The Guy in a white lab coat shouted. "Boss, The Rank A Soldiers are here!"
"Get them to catch that kid." George pointed at Jake who looked shocked and scared.
"Alright, Boss! All of you, get that Kid!" The Man in a White lab coat commanded the Rank A Soldiers. The Rank A Soldiers actioned. They jumped and ready to grab Jake but Bark interrupted them.
"Oh not on my watch!" Bark used Death Pulse again and the Rank A Soldiers abruptly stopped and knelt on the ground.
30 Rank A Soldiers and George who is also at Rank A were all damaged by Bark who is Rank B!
"I'll keep him at bay! You go continue your pursuit." George said angrily.
He didn't mind the pain and flew. He grabbed Bark and they crashed on the walls.
Bark groaned because of the damage he bought when they hit the wall. The Rank A Soldiers jumped again and tried to get Jake on their hands. Bark gritted his teeth and tried to leave from George's gripped.
But it was too late. George had cast a Rank A Territorial Skill. "Gravity Arena!"
The Cave rumbled and a 100-meter radius of land have this suppressing gravity. The border of it were blurred, indicating the border made up of Strong Gravity pull.
Bark knew this skill. It is a skill that makes a Death Battle Arena. No one could go in nor out. Anyone who is inside the Gravity Arena will fight until there is one of them left. Also, it amplifies the power of the Gravity Element giving the Gravity Element Users the upper hand.
The downside is it costs a lot of energy. The Gravity Arena will disappear as long as the caster dies or out of energy. The Gravity Arena's existence depends on the energy that the Caster's have.
But Bark didn't easily calm down. After all, inside the Gravity Arena, Gravity Element attacks are very powerful. Even Rank S Magic Orb users are surely be in a lot of trouble if they stepped in the Gravity Arena.
"Inverted Gravity!" George casted.
Bark's body floated and he was pushed upward and crashed on the ceilling of the cave.
George swift his hand down and the Gravity changes direction. Bark's body immediately fell down and crashed on the ground. Bark coughed up blood. His ribs and other bones were broken!
"What can you do now, cocky B*st*rd!" George shouted crazily with a crazy laughed.
He flipped his and up and Bark's body crashed onto the ceilling immediately and without a second he was smashed on the ground afterwards.
"Bark!!!" Jake was scared and worried of how Bark was treated and beaten up. Inside, Anger, hatred and Worry started to rumble up. He wanted to help.
Jake ran and attempt to enter the Arena without any second thought. Bark looked at Jake angrily. He knew Jake wasn't stupid but what Jake is doing would lead himself to his death.
Rank A Soldiers appeared and grabbed Jake.
"Let go of me!" Jake tried to get out from the hands of the Soldiers. But Jake isn't strong enough yet to fight them. He was simply lifted by one of the Soldiers like he was a bag. He was grabbed at the back of his shirt.
A shadow appeared and kicked the Soldier that was holding Jake.
The Soldier let go of Jake and fell on the floor. Jake's body disappeared all of a sudden and reappered 500 meters away from the Soldiers.
The Shadow who saved Jake was Dark, Sergeant Dark.
"Sergeant Dark!" Jake exclaimed in joy.
"He's not the only one." A sillhoute showed himself. It was Sergeant Clark!
"Sergeant Clark!" Jake exclaimed again.
"Look at you! You're injured. Let me heal you. Healing Touch of the Angel." Clark chanted the spell and Jake felt warm. He was completely healed. But then he remembered Bark inside the Gravity Arena.
The Two Sergeants already knew what happened and they were surprised and shocked.
"Sergeant! Are you good?" Dark shouted.
Bark heard what Dark said and smiled. He tried to stand up and said, "Of course..."
"We will try to find a way to get in there and heal you. So, hang on." Clark shouted giving Bark an assurance.
"What about the other Miners?" Bark asked.
"They're alright. I teleported them to a safe place." Dark said making Bark sighed in relief.
"Protect Jake for me please. Don't let them hurt him or get their hands on him, do you understand?"
Dark and Clark looked at Jake and then at each other thinking it is weird.
"Its... Its complicated." Bark and Jake said synonymously.
