High in the clouds above the end of the Broken Lands was the content of Vera, the homeland of the Elden Gods and the four cosmic rulers of the Multiverse. They were the human incarnation of the different elements that made up the Multiverse.
Madame Fate stood outside in the chilling winters air with a sword in hand; her younger brother Life could see her vivid purple hair with streaks of Indian blue flow back in the breeze. Madame Fates golden eyes looked to the horizon as whisps of snow fell upon her long flowing violet and deep yellow warrior's robes
"Do you think Madame Fate is right?" Brother Life said to his brother Order, younger than their sister and their other brother Khaos. Brother Lifes's forest green vine-like hair twisted and contorted as his bronze-green leaf-like skin ruffled as if it was alive. Order placed his marble-like hand on his brother's shoulder as he faced him " It will be fine, my brother." Order said
Even though Order had no eyesight, he could still sense his brother's fear because he feared the same as well."
Madame Fate said, " Both of you need to go please, Khaos will be here soon, and both of you are unable to fight." Order bowed and said, " Yes, Madame Fate. Do you want me to ring The Old Bell?"
Life and Madame Fate, in unison, cried out "NO!" Madame Fate got a hold of herself then said, " I am sorry, brother, but that is a bit extreme." Order bowed to Madame Fate " I am sorry, sister, for my rash suggestion."
Madame Fate placed her hand on Orders' smooth marble-like shoulder. "It is alright now left for Overworld at once. I must stay here, and there is still much to be done before my time to leave this timeline comes."
Order stood up; his hand gripped the long sword he had at his side. " Sister, I can fight, and you know that!" Order said
Life gripped Order's arm and said, " Madame Fate knows that we are much too important to the Multiverse than she is." Order gritted his teeth and teleported away with Life to Overworld.
Madame Fate wiped the tears from her eyes and said, " Khaos, I don't know how you were freed from Nowhere or what your true intent is. But you know that killing me will not benefit you nor will ringing the Old Bell!"
Suddenly a tall thin man with jet black hair and blood-red eyes appeared; he wore a wine red vest over a black suit, his hands made of the same wine red material, and each finger was stitched on.
" You take me for a fool, my beloved sister, as much as it would please me to see all of the worlds crumble benth the Elden Gods as they the Ashen Lord devours all of existence. It would be pointless because even after the Ashen Lord is done devouring it all. He explodes in a cosmic reset called the Flashpoint. Starting the birth of the Multiverse anew."
Madame Fate nodded " In a general sense, yes, that is what happens. so where are you here?"
Khaos was silent then said, " I was told to kill you, Sister. But you knew that already." He then laughed and said, " I it is odd that I have not killed you yet. When I was coming here, I knew that you were going to die today."
Khaos paused then said, " But you are not dead! I don't understand why my body will not react like it normally does. Normally in a blink of an eye, I would slit the victim's throat and disembowel them. During that brings me such pleasure, and I love every second of seeing the blood spill from my victim."
Khaos let out a scream of anger. "But the mere thought of even doing that to you sickens me to my core." Khaos fell to his knees in anger and fustion
Madame Fate knelt and looked her brother in the eyes " You have killed thousands of people without remorse for their loved ones. but not even the embodiment of Khaos can spill the blood of his kin without feeling the guilt and shame of killing someone he holds dear to him."
Khaos was silent as Madame Fate embraced her brother for only a second before Khaos stood up and backed away, finally gaining the strength to drew his blade
"How dare you speak as if you know me! We may be siblings, but I share no such bond with you, Order or Life!" Khaos said, then paused, " But I also will not let myself be controlled by Azadawns will any longer!"
Madame Fate watched as dark shadowy chains exploded from his wrists as Khaos channeled his Kyi, causing them to explode.
High in the Crimson Tower, Azadawn the Overseer's shadowy claws dug into the cold stone floor. " My King, do not worry about him; the cosmic beings can be so fursting and should not be relied on solely." A tall woman said she wore Wine Red First One Armor beside her stood three others also wearing the same armor. all of them knelt in front of Azadawn who's presence was still concealed from them
" Worry not of the Cosmic; His time will come. But now.." Azadawn gazed at the female. "Mer'warth, watch over only Arran Dra'ghoul; he is to not to be killed," Azadawn said
Mer'warth nodded " As you wish, my lord. What should I do about his allies? Do I need to..."
Azadawn replied, " No, The Dragonborns allies are of no concern. Arran Dra'ghoul is your only priority." Azadawn watched as Mer'warth teleported away
The figure standing next to Mer'wrath stood up; his long Wine Red Trenchcoat fluttered in the icy air that blew through the crimson Tower; Azadawn looked at the figure and said, " You disapprove Nine?"
Nine looked at Azdawn; his sunken eyes glinted a deep red glow " No, my King, I could not disapprove of your will. But if I were to suggest that the Kitsune knew as Suzume be brought here as a form of motivation for Arran to come and see you?" Nine said
Nine could sense a smile cross Azadawns face " A most excellent idea, Nine." Azadawn said Nine bowed, " I live to please my lord; once I have my prey am I granted permission to do with her as I please?"
Azadawn replied, " Yes, But keep the Kitsune alive and her virginity intact until the proper time comes."
Nine gritted his boney teeth as he said, " Of course, my lord, May she still keep her soul?"
Azadawn bent forward, and Nine could see for the first time a glimpse of Azadawns face through the mist of shadow that concealed his identity.
His features were that of a human in his skin; three long demon horns grew from his skull that was dragonlike. Nine turned away, fearful of seeing any more of his masters appearance
" Ah, you have glimpsed only a part of my face; only those truly loyal to me may gaze upon my true form," Azadawn said, extending his hand cloaked in black flames that felt cool to Nines body as Azadawn ran his long jagged nails down Nines body,
" You asked me if the Kitsune may keep her soul? My loyal servant, If you are as loyal to me as you say, bring me her soul, and your unyielding loyalty will be rewarded." Azadawn said
Nine responded as he teleported away," I shall not fail you, my Lord."
Azadawn said in a low dark voice," I count on it, my naive slave."
