At least my knowledge of combat magic continued to improve. I practiced and practiced, and with Ghost watching over me, trained to borrow immense power of the earth and the sun. The earth was simpler, and much, much weaker compared to the star that warmed it; but the sun was a much more effective weapon against vampires. The pure radiance of it, there were aspects in it that contradicted vampires' cold undead nature so much that just a slight touch of them produced a violent thermal reaction.
In other words, it heated vampire bodies until they burst into flames.
