Rachel flexed her fingers, shifting in her seat as she sped up and the race began, leaving the screech of tires and exhaust fumes in their wake. Iris laughed as Gina held down her yellow sundress, stopping it from going up with the wind.
" No wonder you hate dresses ", Iris had changed into simple black leather pants and a white top, with the jacket and boots she'd worn during the race. Luckily, no one had managed to link the two together so they were safe.
Gina skipped to the manager and put down her tokens, speaking sweetly " One and a half million on Fire Cracker please ". The manager blinked a few times, trying to open his mouth to say something but changed his mind.
The other two races had lost quite a bit of money and word was the boss was even going to come out and watch the race. If a naive young lady was doing him a favor by wasting 1.5 million on an unknown racer, who was he to stop her?
He nodded lightly, speaking politely " Anything for the pretty young miss ". Gina held her cheeks and giggled, " Thank you sir. Enjoy the race ". She gave a quick thumbs up as she waved it off and merged into the crowd.
Iris raked her hand through her hair and smiled up at the screen watching Rachel swerve through the race track, " Do you want to make some money or what "? Rachel laughed from her head, picking up even more speed " You've got a bad temper, I'll be fine ".
Iris didn't know what that meant but carried on anyway when she heard a snark comment, " The woman belongs in the kitchen, not on the race track ". Iris bit her tongue, flexing her fingers [ Ignore it Iris. It'll be fine ]
She heard another chuckle, " A woman that pretty should be in my bed ". Iris clenched her fist, feeling her patience fade away [ That's it ] and turned to the two " I'm very sure you can't handle her ".
The two looked at each other then laughed, " We meant no offence lass, just messing around ". Iris' anger had not be quelled as she pointed her finger at them, scolding them " Just because you say no offense, doesn't mean its not offensive ".
One raised an eyebrow adamantly, " You should know your place or else you'll be just like that Fire cracker who will be put in her place as soon as she loses ". Iris smirked, speaking confidently " You wanna bet on it macho man "?
Rachel and Gina could only sigh as they heard the conversation on Iris' side [ She lasted longer than I thought she would ] Rachel looked in the mirror and saw two more drivers catching up quickly.
There were twenty racers in this division and she was roughly in ninth place with one more lap to go. Rachel relaxed into her chair as she stretched her hand on the steering wheel and stepped on the gas pedal.
Again, she began swerving from side to side passing, the other cars as the finish line came into view. Rachel had her glasses underneath her helmet, ensuring maximum visibility and she had one more car to pass.
" I didn't think I'd have to use my secret weapon ", flipping a switch underneath the wheel, the tank of NOS underneath quickly circulated and gave her an extra boost. Rachel laughed with the thrill of it as the world rushed by.
Catching up with the black car, she was momentarily dazed by the handsome man behind the wheel with his white hair and cold black eyes. Shaking it off, she gave a slight salute with her hands and sped up again, crossing the finish line.
Rachel turned the car in circles a few times before driving slowly towards the betters table. She was still wearing her helmet as she put her hand out and spoke to Iris " I didn't disappoint, right "?
Iris laughed, " Absolutely not. Excuse me for a minute ". She turned to the two formerly confident men and pointed at the floor, smugly " What are you waiting? Kiss my feet ". The two hesitantly got on their feet and kissed the shoes.
Iris nodded, satisfied " You guys are so good, honouring the bet with no qualms ". They nodded but Iris suddenly frowned, " Who said you could stop? Keep kissing ". Rachel laughed, getting out of the car " Where's Gina "?
Iris pointed at the collector's point, " She should be done soon ". Gina on the other hand was almost done, the manager himself couldn't believe the drastic change in personality.
She didn't seem so naive, in fact it was like dealing with one of his men. " Don't look at me like that, cough it up ". The man cried internally as he put more bundles of cash into her hand [ I'm so screwed ]
