Chapter 6 - The Beginning of an Adventure

(6 years after training started)

It has been five years since I completed my training, Shiva taught me all she knew and honed my combat techniques to superhuman limits. I created a variety of strong and versatile spells.

More importantly is that I evolved from plank into a B Cup, for this is a perfect size, it is not too small neither too big. I am measuring about 1,78 meters tall (5,75 or 5,80 I think).

Now with the important stuff, today I am planning on beginning my adventure, search for elemental roots, make companions, lovers and unravel the secrets of the world!

I put on my pelt garb and stand to pull out the boulder/door. I feel a hand on my shoulder and look back, Shiva is standing with a sad face "You grew up so fast... I still remember when you were just a baby and I needed to help you with everything, it was so nice... but here you are, departing on your adventure leaving your beautiful mother alone in the wilds" she dramatically said before she paused and her face darkened "BUAAAAH!!!! I'M GONNA MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!"

"AHHHH!! ME TOO!!!!" Tears were shed but now it is official 'I shall explore the world, unravel all secrets, become the strongest, let the adventure begin!!!' I thought as I ran on the snowy ground.

At each step, I took my foot sunk deep on the ground slowing me greatly "There no way I will use magic to fly over. Isn't this the point of an adventure? Wandering through the land, meter by meter with no hurry?"

Hours passed by as I aimlessly wandered through the snowy fields. In my way, I encountered wolves, bears, white owls, but nothing out of the ordinary. Well, I realized that I am indeed aimlessly wandering, but I have one objective, the elemental roots.

Four years ago Shiva and I engaged in combat with a Youngling Ice Elemental, around 4 meters in height and a half from shoulder to the other. Its strength was off the charts and despite being a newborn, his attacks hit hard and pushed us back with effort. We won of course but for three factors only, stronger, we have more experience, and my high ice resistance.

From inside his body, there was a small round light blue orb, Shiva explained that it was one elemental root and that they can drop from elementals (why? because they are Elementals so why not), I naturally ate it but felt a low increase in my Ice Magic, a 1% increase if I put it in numbers.

Shiva explained to me that there are five types of elementals, Youngling, Teen, Adult, Elder, and Ancient. They function like dragons, the older the stronger and smarter, she said that Elders have intelligence high enough to create mana weapons but their enormous size causes them to only use giant weapons. But for the Ancients are a completely different case, possessing a much smaller and compact figure they can use every single weapon or as they call it "Spirit Weapons". Segments of their bodies resemble humans and the rest are crude rock-like material with cracks on it glowing as the color of its respective element (I will put a picture in the paragraph comments.)

Thankfully Elementals in general are very rare to encounter and Elders and Ancients are even rarer. This is a good and bad thing at the same time, good because I won't fight those things all the time, and bad because it will be harder to get my elemental root.

*GROWL* I look down at my belly and caress it with a sad face "I'm so hungry, why didn't I brought the corpses of the animals with me!?" I grunt and sit on the ground "WOAH!" *BOOM* The ground underneath me collapsed and I am now in an underground place "What the hell?" I look around and it is all dark, but thanks to my night vision I can see perfectly.

I take a glance at the walls and notice meter-long engravings like if a big text was written in there, the letters are small but the overall text is enormous.

I stand up and wipe the dust out of my butt "This place sure is dusty" Taking a few steps forward my hand passes through the wall and I read what is written "The Scalding Roar... interesting title. Let's begin reading then.

The Scalding Roar

It is not known who forged this weapon. At first, it was just an ordinary ax. However, after a battle with a red dragon, when this ax broke the beast's heart, its blade began to emanate a strong light that resembled lava from a volcano.

From the day the ax gained flaming properties. The heat of the blade burned the opponents as it cut and the sound of the blade cutting the wind resembled a low roar of a dragon.

The blade is always hot and it glows with bonuses when trying to intimidate others. However, this also causes a penalty to be applied when attempting to be stealthy unless the blade is covered with something that withstands its high temperature and does not end up burning.

It is said that this ax is the key for the Galantea's Chamber that holds a great treasure. The last known wielder of the Scalding Roar is the Ancient Elemental Otakemaru, all those who acknowledge his existence indescribably fear him.

Good luck opening this. By: Old Man Senpai"

"Ha? That God did this? Good lore tho. What treasure do we have inside this place? Gold? Magic Weaponry?" I turn around to explore more the ruins "There's no reason to worry about that now, I can barely kill a Youngling alone imagine one of the strongest ancient ones, nope, not happening soon"

As I wander around I realize how much of a maze this place is. After walking for quite a while I find a room with a green door, and the logical decision is to enter it.

When I get inside I see a small wood rectangular box with a broken lock, I slowly open it revealing a blade around one meter long inside its sheath (The sword isn't just a meter, only the blade, picture in paragraph comments) "This is amazing" as I unsheathed the blade a blinding green light irradiated the room together with powerful gusts of wind blowing the dust of the place.

My vision flashes and I find myself in a different scenario, an endless flower field with strong sunlight and warming breezes hit my eyes as I gazed at the woman standing alone staring at the blue sky.

Her white dress was swirling as the wind blew, her blonde hair flew around like it had a life of its own. She suddenly turns around and our eyes, her jade eyes stared at my rainbow ones.

She slowly walks through the grass, this place is so peaceful and quiet that I could hear the sound of leaves rustling under her feet and the wind blowing. My body stood motionless waiting for her to come.

As she came closer I could see her features better, a perfect face completely freed from pimples and wrinkles, her hair had green strands here and there giving it a beautiful contrast.

When she was standing in front of me her hands pursed through my face as she stared at me with curiosity. Suddenly I felt something soft and warm pressing on my lips, I was surprised but yet motionless.

A green aura covered both of us and an odd surge of power flowing through my body. "Hello? Can you hear me?" A strange voice spoke with me inside my head

"Who is this?"

"I'm the sword you just found. By the way sorry about that kiss, it is necessary for the completion of a soul bound" Great, I'm talking with a sword

"Eh!? Soulbond? Care to explain?"

"My soul bonded with yours, normally a soul bound is for connecting two lovers souls so when one dies the other one dies as well. But since I am a weapon the soul-bonding process is different, when you die I die, when I die you will be fine. In humans when the other one dies the partner's heart will spontaneously combust resulting in his or her death, but as you already know I am not human so my entire soul would be destroyed with no possibility of reincarnation" Miss Sword gave me a quick explanation about the subject

"That's harsh... then now that you are soul bonded with me, you are my sword? I mean that no one else can be your owner except me?"

"Pretty much yeah, if someone stole me you can just summon me back, you can even put me in imaginary storage instead of a sheath. That place we were moments ago was my mental plane but now that I've merged with you they also did" At first I did not like the idea of someone forcefully merging with me but now I kinda accepted it already

"Do you have a name?"

"I don't, can you give me one"

'Hohoho...' I laughed weirdly in my mind "I already have the perfect name, but I need to explain its backstory first. Everyone has a Soul Reaper, Decapitator or Destroyer, cool swords to killed by, but what about being killed by a sword named"

"Oh no don't you da-"

"CHUNCHUNMARU!"

"Shit..."

"I'm just joking haha, don't take me seriously. You are a wind spirit, right? The wind that came into the room after I unsheathed you were intense so I can assume you are one"

"I see you are a clever person, yes, I am a wind spirit but not only that, I am a Wind Sword Spirit, the name is self-explanatory so I won't explain it"

"Okay... if you're a wind spirit then I shall name you Silph! What do you think?"

"I love it! And what should I call you?"

"You can just call me Doma"
