Khalid was silent. He analyzes the possibility that happened between Anton and Amira who have a longer relationship than with him. Maybe what Anton said was true, but again Khalid wouldn't be so rash. He had to keep his feelings to himself so as not to get emotional hearing Anton's confession. If he gets emotional, the competition committee will cross him off the list of participants. Khalid didn't want that to happen at all because he wanted to prove to his parents that he was able to make their dreams come true.
