It was unknown how much time had passed while Sophia was trying to get the girls out of the building but by the time they even got to the ground floor, the already weak girls were barely able to keep up with their own footsteps. Their lungs were filled with the deep stench of smoke and their noses were overloaded with the strong and suffocating smell of smoke.
Each breath brought them a searing burn within their throats. Their eyes burned and tears poured down theirs, blurring their eyes with each passing second. Loud sizzles buzzed within their ears as the teardrops heated into gas the second they left the girls eyes.
