Sophia didn't know exactly how long had passed but at some point, her mind had gone blank. An unknown fear gripped at her heart as she stared at the people in front of her. From her hidden location within the auction room, she stared blankly at all that happened, not being able to register whatever was happening below her.
After an unknown amount of time, when the loud siren rang, her mind jolted awake. The sudden shock sped up her already loud and thumping heartbeat. Sophia felt a little suffocated in her chest as her eyes darted about the room trying to make sense of all that was happening below her.
It was loud.
Stadium full of screaming fans type of loud.
Men were screaming and hustling about one another in a panic. Many if not all of the men within the room were running about the room trying to find what seemed like the way out of this auction room.
