Chapter 53 - 52. ‘Revenge?’

While the girls were trying to overcome their confusion, the few doctors and nurses who have personally seen through the death of Sophia Harper, came up to her.

Due to the shock and emotional turmoil she had sent them through in such a short time, the people who went up to her were either walking like a drunk person or holding walls and the bed sides for support as though the world was spinning very fast.

There was even a young man about the age of 20, who crawled on all fours towards Sophia.

Despite the numerous ways they used to get to her, a similar gaze marked their faces. Curiosity and desperation oozed out of their bodies as they surrounded her. It was as though they were little helpless animals waiting to get some affection from her. However instead of affection they were desperately waiting for 'Luna' to reveal the truth behind the real Sophia Harpers death.

Their curious eyes looked up at her with anticipation.

"Let's not get all physical shall we. Move back and calm down for a second." Sophia softened her words to not rile them up any more. With her rare soft and melodious voice the several people that were crawling close to her started following her words.

Their actions were a little dazed as though they were but puppets following the words of their master.

Nonetheless with a matter of seconds they were a lot calmer. Their breathing calmed down and their eyes started to clear.

They seemed to have just woken up from a dream with how clear but confused their eyes seemed. The remaining tears marks and wetness in their faces shocked them but they knew it wasn't a dream so they were rather calm.

At this moment the sixteen girls who were previously trafficked were also starting to understand the happenings around them. Though they were so a bit confused as to why those doctors were acting like crybabies once 'Luna' revealed that the real Sophia Harper was dead.

From what they had heard, those doctors already knew about Sophia Harpers death and yet when 'Luna' said it they were shocked?

They clearly mourned her death and yet they seemed reluctant to believe that she was actually dead?

Were they really some badass mercenary doctors? If so why the f*ck did they seem more like little kids who refused to believe that their mother was no longer alive even after the fact that they clearly mourned her death!!!

At this time Sophia spoke up and broke them out of their reveries.

"Sophia Harper. Daughter of Davion Harper and late Riley Harper. Working as the CEO of Royal Harper Corp to regular businessmen and the one and only secretary of the hidden boss of Sugar Honies to those who work in the underworld. She died on April 24, 3021. She died in a fire that burned the entire estate along with her and left her nothing but bones. One day before the grand wedding of her step sister Layla and her ex-fiancé Jackson." Sophia paused and looked at everyone. She wanted to make sure that everyone was following along with her.

"The estate where she died was an abandoned one near the far border of Miko City. The old couple that lived there passed away six years back and since then no one has claimed the estate so the sudden fire was a surprise to everyone. The investigation started with no clues and took more than two months to identify the bones of Sophia Harper which was then announced to the world on the night of July 11th and the morning of July 12th. According to her family she left four years ago for a personal reasons after she confessed how she felt guilty about loving Jackson despite not wanting to stop Layla and Jackson from getting together. The police investigation revealed that she was a Blue Rose drug addict. She showed signs of being a nymphomaniac to the point of physical exhaustion and countless faint spells that lead to great impacts on her bones. Her fingers were smashed by a hammer and her legs were cut from the knee below, a week into her 'personal time'." A cold glint passed through Sophia's eyes but her neutral words didn't reveal any emotions as though she was a complete stranger to that story. As though it wasn't her who had gone through all that.

Or perhaps it had been way too long since then?

If so, why did she remember the details so well?

She didn't forget what had happened but she also didn't feel anything about it. Unlike the bout of rage she felt when she learned about Luna's story and when she saw those hickeys on Rohan, her heart at the moment was empty.

She felt no emotions as though everything was truly calm.

In her mind too. She felt no desire to do anything about what had happened.

Besides the crying voice of Luna whose voice disturbed her thoughts she truly felt calm and peaceful.

"Who did that to Sophia?!"

"Who dared to hurt our idol?!"

"Miss Luna please tell us! We need to get revenge for Sophia! Tell us who smashed her fingers and cut her legs!"

"Those bastards deserved to die!!"

Tears streamed down the girls faces as though the water dam had broken loose. The boys were in a much better state or so to say. Their eyes were bloodshot and their faces were clear of any tear stains but their hands were clenched into tight fists and the immense hatred and rage that was being suppressed within their eyes. Clearly they weren't as calm as they wanted to be.

Unspoken and spoken questions attacked Sophia one after the other. They all wanted to know the name of the person that harmed Sophia.

They wanted to avenge her and return the world the pain that Sophia felt ten- no a hundred fold over!

A small smile formed on Sophia's lips. 'It looks like my life wasn't in vain. Heh.'

"Layla Harper."

"Jackson Garcia."

"Davion Harper."

Her clear words rang throughout the room. Each word was spoken loud and clear.

The people in front of her were confused. They were clearly asking 'Luna' to tell them the names of Sophia's enemies and yet here she was telling them the names of the people she loved. Or did they hear wrongly?

Clearly not processing what Sophia had just said, one of the girls spoke up. "What?"

Sophia didn't like repeating her words but she felt rather generous at the moment hence she opened her mouth to clear up the confusion.

"Those three people destroyed Sophia Harper. They were also the ones who set fire in the estate, thus burning her alive."

Silence ensued throughout the room. A single thought rang through each and everyone of their minds.

'The family Sophia worked so hard to protect we're the ones who …killed her?'

"F*ck! Are they even human?! How dare they hurt Sophia?!!"

"Those ungrateful bastards! They clearly had no ounce of humanity in them!"

"We need to get revenge!"

"Yeah! I'll skin them alive piece by piece and feed it to them!"

"That won't do! Let's sell them out and prostitude them for money!"

Sophia listened to their very serious bickering that sounded more like little kids dreaming. Yet everyone within the room knew that every thing that they said was possible.

If they said they wanted to cut them up and feed it back to them, it was highly possible. Especially for top-tier mercenaries like them.

However, Sophia wasn't paying attention to how they wanted to get revenge for Sophia. Rather she was deep in her own thoughts.

'Revenge?'
