Chapter 46 - 45. Press Conference Part 1

Due to the very high profile press conference happening right in front of the cafe, many people were currently seated inside the cafe. However, they were all busy watching Mr. Kinnely make his entrance into the building that they had subconsciously ignored the very handsome and dazzling young man who had made his way into the second floor of the cafe.

The first floor was filled with people, whereas the second floor only had five tables spread across the entire floor with a minimum of six feet in between to ensure privacy.

There are two tables seated right next to the window for a great outdoor view through the floor to ceiling windows. One of them was already occupied as there was an artificial green vine wall that separated the corner tables from the rest of the room as though it were a little room.

Left of the 'little room' was another table near the window. As the tall and dashing man with deep blue eyes made his way through the room, a waiter led him towards the table. Once there, he gestured for the man to sit at the table all the while bowing down respectfully.

"Mr. Lee, please."

Not saying a word, the man took a glance at the artificial wall that was a few feet in front of him as he sat down.

"One black coffee." Once the words left his lips, his right hand raised and waved off the waiter who responded with a firm 'yes' and left.

While the waiter was gone to prepare his drink, another man in his late twenties stood by the table.

Seeing that his employer was gazing out the window and into the entrance of the hotel in front, he knew it was his cue to speak.

"Sir, Five Brothers Corp suddenly announced this morning at 7 that they were holding a larger press conference. As per your orders, I did a little digging and found out that he had made a deal with someone. However, besides knowing that the person is connected to Sugar Honies, I wasn't able to find out anything else."

This man's voice was rather confident and bold at the beginning but as his words went on he slowly felt ashamed and lost that little confidence. He was known as one of the best secretaries out there and yet he failed to find out something so simple.

Five Brothers Corp was but a mere small company according to his boss and it wasn't even worth much of their attention hence he felt really ashamed that he could find out who the person they had given the information to Mr. Kinnely.

However, he did know one thing.

If five Brothers Corp was a small company that wasn't capable of hiding much from them, didn't that mean that the person who had given him the information was a powerful person?

Having been in the business world since the tender age of 18, he had seen his fair share of capable people.

Especially in the last 6 years.

He had seen the rise of Sugar Honies and its people. Despite being in similar fields for so long, they haven't met head on yet so there was nothing he could do about it but he did have information on them.

The people in Sugar Honies were capable people. The leader was even more so.

During the first 2 years that they hid and ruled, everything and everyone was very capable and bright about subtle but shocking information and need to their clients and they also kept information to their graves. Who wouldn't do business with them when their price reflected the hardcore information that the client could receive at the end of the day with a 0.01% chance of betrayal?

However, the past 4 years there was only the people of Sugar Honies working however they could. It was as though the leader was gone but there was no such news.

There were countless rumors like those in the past 4 years but not one person was able to confirm the truth hence the strong Sugar Honies continued to rule.

He had also seen how capable they were himself.

There were many projects that required him to find information about a company, however there were many times where the closest he got to anything internal about Sugar Honies was the company name. There was nothing else no matter how hard he digged!

It had been four years since the last active news of the leader and yet the people of Suger Honies still ruled and their power was still as strong as ever.

Even as a top hacker within the country, he couldn't get through to the firewall much less find anything about them!

He had tried multiple times in a friendly way so as to avoid enmity amongst the two companies, but each time for the past four years he couldn't get through anything more than the second firewall.

What made him even more ashamed was that the coding for the firewall was very outdated. The source code was all reflected four years ago…

Not daring to face his boss because he knew how incompetent he was, the secretary bowed his head down. He felt really powerless.

Mr. Lee, who was sitting on the table and gazing outside the window raised a brow when he heard 'Sugar Honies.'

"Sugar Honies again?"

"Yes, Sir."

Calmly nodding his head to the rather unexpected but believable outcome, Mr. Lee turned his gaze back toward the window. However it wasn't without a rather curious gaze toward the isolated table in front of him.

He had a weird feeling. Somehow, he was really interested as to who was behind the artificial green wall.

Nonetheless he looked back at the hotel entrance.

At this time, Mr. Kinnely was standing in front of the closed car door, calmly looking over at the numerous reporters who had come to take videos and pictures of him.

The number of questions and flashes directed toward him were endless and the crowd was extremely loud.

"Mr. Kinnely, are you really planning to take down the Grey Corporation?"

"What made you want to make this feud public? Can you tell us what evidence you have on the Grey Corporation?"

"Mr. Kinnely, is it true that the Grey Corporation is dealing with illegal business?"

Question after question regarding the press conference was hurled at the CEO, however his cold gaze and expressionless face didn't reveal anything.

After a good two minutes of listening, he raised his hands and motioned for the reporters to quiet down.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please calm down. You will all receive an answer to your questions in a few minutes when the conference starts."

With that, he signaled with his hands after which the few bodyguards that were standing at the side made their way toward the crowd of reporters and cleared out the red carpet that led the way into the hotel.

As he walked forward, numerous white flashes landed at his straight back and questions still rang through the air. All of which he ignored effortlessly.
