Chereads / Inayah's Kismet / Chapter 4 - First Encounter 2

Chapter 4 - First Encounter 2

Miss Gladys Apartment.

Clara looked at Inayah after the latter finished telling her about her encounter with the glass mansion man. She suddenly busted into laughter.

''So, he saw you in only your pant and bra? Wow! What a sight to behold!'' Clara couldn't control herself and begun to laugh again.

''Can you stop laughing already? Is not funny!'' Inayah frowned. She felt cheated by the mysterious man.

''I can only imagine the smirk on his face. Seeing a girl with such goodies isn't something one could see on a normal day. Especially a young maiden who doesn't even have a boyfriend yet." Clara furrowed her brows and stared at Inayah keenly.

''He even did this!'' Inayah repeated the man's gestures to Clara.

''He pointed at you? Then, he really did see you, Ayah. He saw you naked!''

''Pervert!!! He should pray I don't see him, if not I would surely pluck out those eyes and throw them into the sea.'' Inayah snickered.

"How are you going to do that? He lives in a glass mansion, that means he is not an ordinary man. I would say…avoid him.'' Clara decided to warn Inayah.

''You think so?'' Inayah had second thoughts too, but she was determined to make the man pay for seeing her naked.

''Yes. You said it yourself. He drives a Maybach and stays in that villa alone. He must be filthy rich to be staying in that glass mansion alone and your neighbourhood is known for harbouring rich people. You are staying there because the house was an inheritance from your grandparents.''

''Yeah. I mean, that mansion wasn't even there 8 months ago before I left.''

The old building there was demolished and they redeveloped the land and turned it into a mansion.

Mrs. Gladys knocked at the door and opened it. "Girls, come down and eat before the food gets cold.''

''Yes, mom!'' Clara replied.

''We will be out soon, Aunt'' Inayah also responded.

''Let's go...'' Clara stood up and walked out with Inayah.

....

A few days later, after returning to the city, Inayah decided to visit her doctor at the City Hospital.

She was going to find a way to get rid of the tattoo before she returned back to school. As she walked towards the OPD, she chatted with Clara over the phone.

''Yes, I'm at the hospital. I need to get that tattoo removed at all cost before school next week, before someone sees it and spreads rumours about me.''

''Okay, then, let's talk later. Let me know if you are able to remove it even though I doubt you would. That tattoo looked like a birthmark.'' Clara said over the phone.

Inayah paused in her strides and asked in an irritated tone, ''are you my sister or my enemy? Why do you always pour cold water on my efforts?''

''I am your only sister, of course and I love you the most.''

''I'm hanging up, see you later!'' Inayah hung up and turned towards the OPD, bumping into someone and her bag fell down.

The other person picked up the bag and spoke before recognising her.

''I'm sorry, I didn't see you coming...'' He paused and they looked at each other. ''You again?''

Inayah snatched her bag and asked. ''You again? What does that supposed to mean?'' She couldn't believe her luck to actually meet the boy from the restaurant the other day.

''Are you following me?'' He asked.

''What? Hey, what do you take me for? Why would I need to follow you? Are you a king? Are you the owner of this place? Following you, you must be suffering from a prince syndrome.'' Inayah gave him a stern look before walking away

...

Dr. Lana's Office.

Inayah sat on the patient's bed and the doctor checked her tattoo.

''Inayah, this looks like a birthmark. It can't be cleaned off unless surgery and that we will have to cut that part away.'' The doctor said and Inayah frowned.

''So, I can't do anything about it?'' Inayah asked.

Dr. Lana shook her head. ''Unfortunately, yes. But, why do you want it removed? Did you fight or break up with your boyfriend?'' she asked curiously, taking off her hand gloves.

''You might not believe this but, I woke up and just saw it. I don't have a boyfriend and I have never met anyone with this initials. Trust me, this thing is creeping me out.''

''Really? Then, there must be a reason why is there. Maybe you should search and find out why? 'J. M'. Is an interesting initial by the way?" Dr. Lana chuckled.

''Thanks!'' Inayah got down from the bed and picked her blazer and wore. She exchanged a few words with the doctor before going out.

Inayah walked out towards the general OPD and saw the boy standing at a distance. She sighed and walked pass him and he followed her and asked.

''Are you sick?''

''I don't think we are that close for me to answer you.'' Inayah continued walking as she spoke.

The boy jumped in front of her, blocking her path as he introduced himself. ''My name is Noah!''

The name echoed a few times in Inayah's ears and she stopped at once as another wave of deja Vu enveloped her.

She turned and looked at Noah feeling confused.

''What? Didn't you hear me? I said my name is…'' He was about to say his name again when Inayah interrupted him.

''I heard you…the first time!'' She said, walking away again.

''This is our second time meeting. If we meet again next time by coincidence, then we are meant for each other. Inayah Ibrahim!'' He said and Inayah stopped walking and turned to him at once.

''How did you know my name?'' She asked him suspiciously.

Noah smiled and removed her ID from his pocket for her. "This fell down when we bumped into each other.''

Inayah snatched the ID and looked at it as he said to her.

"See you again, Inayah!!!''

When he turned and walked away. Inayah felt a sense of déjà vu and quivered. She shook her head and murmured to herself, ''why does this happen to me anytime I see him?''

...

Miles Group.

Butler James entered the office with a file and said to Jasper. ''Sir, this is the information you asked for!''

Jasper placed his pen down and robbed his eyes before asking. "Tell me. What did you find?''

''The apartment belongs to an 18-year-old girl called Inayah Ibrahim. She inherited it from her grandparents when they died. She is the only child and her parents are also late. She was in City S for 8 months due to some problems with her health and now her guardian is her mother's cousin called Miss. Gladys and she has a daughter of the same age with Inayah. They seem to have a good relationship.'' Butler James gave the information out to Jasper.

''I see!'' He had an unreadable expression on his face.

''Sir, she doesn't seem to pose any danger to you, why are you investigating her?'' Butler James' curiosity got the better part of him.

''She is a nuisance. I want to buy that apartment. Make sure she moves out by the end of the week.'' Jasper said indifferently and went back to doing his work.

''But sir, I don't think we will be able to buy that house. That house contains her memories; she won't sell it that easily to us.''

''Make her sell it, at all cost!''

''Yes, sir. Excuse me!!'' Butler James sighed and went out.

Jasper picked his pen and muttered, ''how dare she try to seduce me? In that vulgar way?''

.....

Inayah's house.

Inayah returned from the hospital and got down from a taxi and saw an old man looking at her apartment and she walked to him.

''Excuse me, do you need something?'' She asked him.

''Are you Miss. Ibrahim?'' Butler James asked the young lady in front of him politely. He had only seen her from afar but now that he was standing close to her, he felt that she had prominent features.

''Yes, who are you?''

''My name is James!''

''Okay, but, why are you looking at my house and how do you know my name?''

''I came to see you. Can I go in with you?''

''Oh. Okay. This way, please!''

Inayah looked at Butler James curiously as he sipped the juice she served him.

''So, you are a real estate developer and you wish to buy my house and develop it because is the only old house in this neighbourhood?''

''Yes. With your consent. I am willing to pay any amount.''

''I see. Sir, I appreciate your kindness but I can't sell this house to you.''

The house was important to her. She had promised her grandfather not to sell the house so she wasn't going to do that. Her memories with her grandparents were all in this house.

''May I ask why?'' Butler James asked even though he half suspected her reason for not wanting to sell the house.

''This house means a lot to me. I inherited it from my grandparents and also, I lived here until 8 months ago that I had to go away because of family issues but now that I'm back, I intend to stay here till I die.''

The way she spoke seriously made Butler James smile. ''Do you really have to stay here? I could get you any apartment of your choice in any district and still pay you any amount you want for the house.''
