Gideon tightened his grip on her shirt as he warned her. ''I'm warning you; don't look at me with those eyes. Unless you want them gouged out.''
Bertha managed to push him aside saying, ''I decide what to do with my eyes. Who the hell are you to tell me what to do or not to do?''
''Why do you hate me?'' Gideon asked. He never clearly understood why she hated him so much.
