I couldn't understand what she was pointing out.
Until she said "Thanks for saving me, Sato."
She actually believes that I'm the owner of the book.
"Well, I hate to break it to you, but I'm not the book owner."
She started looking pale and very sad.
"But..."
I continued.
"I think we are similar."
"There is a relation it should be"
Yami looked surprised then said, "what are you talking about?"
"The thing that kept you moving forward for everyday life."
"The thing that made you never surrender after seeing the world very meaningless."
"Well, we both are very similar more than what you think."
Actually most times I say what's in my head very straight even though sometimes it feels very rude.
I just personally believe that being honest and straight is one of the most important things in any discussion.
They drive all unnecessary waste away from the topic.
And we end up with emotions, facts, problems, and solutions.
I've hated having too much time wasted on just things that never existed ever.
But, Today I felt different.
For some reason, I was kinda teasing Yami.
Is it because I felt alive?
I'm not sure anymore.
I took it out of my pocket.
And gave her the letter.
She took it and started looking to notice.
"That's the same language I read!"
For some reason, I always kept the letter with me.
It was rather than a letter... a soul to me.
I couldn't feel right walking without it.
It was very similar to the ring I lost.
Is that why I've been very stressed out?
For some reason, there have been some things that I just felt very nostalgic to.
I slowly gave Yami the letter so she read it.
"What does it say?..."
I asked.
"Frankly... I can read it, but I can't have any idea what does it means."
I got surprisingly disappointed and asked.
"Then what does it say?"
She looked at it again with a clueless face and said
"Kohano"
"I know this seems late, but..."
I interpreted her and said.
"But what?"
"I fear that I don't know all the words in the language that I speak."
"Something doesn't feel right why I can't understand it?"
"Plus there is nothing that proves that I'm fluent"
Even though it's annoying to admit, but she's actually right.
Everything happened suddenly and there are so many questions we have no answers for.
"It's actually a banded school in the forest of Tokyo"
I looked around to see...
Simon.
"Pardon me miss Yamioureta I shouldn't have entered suddenly, but I am certain I can help"
"Kohano is a very old story that our elders used to say it to us"
"I thought it was a joke until I worked there."
"It is said that in that school long ago a girl committed suicide in the school."
"And her soul was trapped there..."
"After her suicide that school changed into literal tragedy."
"One after another the students went missing and no one could find any trace of them"
A moment of silence came to the room.
"So you are saying that the letter I'm holding is in fact leading us somewhere?"
I said with a straight face.
"As far as I know, yes."
Yami didn't say a single word.
She was completely silent.
More like she totally agrees with what he is saying.
That's expected...
But...
In my case things were different.
"And what makes you think I can trust you?..."
"wh..?!"
Yami was about to defend him, but he stopped her making a sign with his hand.
"He is right."
"I agree with the boy."
"Taking miss Yamioureta to such place is no wise choice whatsoever..."
"But, I see something in you.."
"Perhaps it's something that miss Yamioureta noticed as well."
I looked at her to see her tilt her head slowly.
And he continued.
"I felt immediately after seeing you for the first time."
He gave a little smile.
"So, you are trying to say that I'm the one who's idea from the begging to go there?"
"More like I was acting for all this to happen just as planned!?"
I said it with a very annoyed tone.
"No, that's not what I meant"
He bowed and said.
"For the first in my whole career to miss Yamioureta, I'm going to trust someone with her."
"Please take miss Yamioureta with you."
My head started spinning.
No...
Even my emotions got unstable.
I couldn't understand anyone in this mansion.
They all are very weird starting with Yami.
I really have zero ideas about where that school is.
And I have no idea if these guys are just doing some type of weird trick on me.
But...
"I guess we have no choice then."
This wasn't like me.
I rarely trust a soul, but this time I had to.
After saying it.
We decided to go.
"This is the far I can come"
"I trust you can keep Yami safe."
Simon slowly came close to me and whispered.
Simon drove us almost to the school.
This feels weird that Yami's family leaxurous car is driving in this forest.
But, in the end we walked our way to the depth of this place.
"I don't think these types of places fit you Yami"
For me as a person who has no memory of his past, I didn't know which type of family I was born in.
But, for some reason I feel like right now I know about others more than myself.
"As a person who lived in a mansion, I don't think It's easy for you to be in these types of places"
She looked at me and kept being silence,
She didn't say a thing.
But, with few seconds of silence, I remembered more about her story.
I started realizing that Yami's story wasn't about being born in a rich family, but rather....
Being a tough girl.
"How about you Sato...?"
Me...?
"What type of family were you raised with?"
"Nothing special"
Yes...
At that very moment I realized that I have never told anyone about my memory loss.
But, that wasn't only it.
Even the past me that was aware of his past sure didn't say a thing about his family.
Why though...?
