Chapter 2 - 02: Another beginning

*Ring ring*

The sound of my alarm went off.

Despite having slept several hours, I was still tired.

"Ugh, I will definitely get back at that man..." I grumbled.

Last night was my graduation from middle school. A bunch of unrealistic events had occurred which I refuse to recall.

What do I do from now on...? People definitely are going to think that crazy dude and I are dating!

Also, this is so strange. This sort of event was never explained in the novel. The novel is supposed to start when I'm in my second year of high school which is 2 years from now. The male lead getting together with some random supporting character was unheard of. I strongly believe that I have not affected the plot in any way. Just what on earth happened?

I got up from my bed and changed my clothes. I went downstairs to greet my parents.

"Good morning Mother and Father," I said as I bowed.

"Sweetie, it's noon already." My mother replied.

Ah...

"My apologies. I may have been a little tired from last night. This will not happen again" I smiled.

Yes, it will not happen again. A supporting character like me shall not meet the male lead again. I may affect the plot by the simplest action so I must refrain from making any sort of contact with him.

"Don't worry about it, was the graduation party fun?" Father asked.

"Yes, it was indeed fun" I responded.

Very fun. Meeting the male lead was such a fun experience that I will not forget for the rest of my life.

"That's good to hear. Go to the dining room and get something to eat. You must be hungry" Father smiled.

I nodded and went for a meal.

Servants came in and served my meal.

"Thank you" I said to the young maid.

"A-Ah no problem young miss!" The main replied.

After having a meal, I went back to my room to think about what will happen in the future.

I will be attending Tunder Academy for the next few years. It was a prestigious magic academy for rich children. There were exceptions such as those who were very talented in magic, like the female lead. The cliche story had the female lead transfer into this school during the male lead's second year when the school finds out how strong the female lead's magical powers are.

The female lead was just perfect.

She was beautiful. She was kind. She was strong. Haha... Ridiculous.

Yes, Mya is also beautiful and her personality was alright but there was just one thing she was lacking. She couldn't control her magic. Despite having an insane amount of mana, she was unable to use it as she could injure someone with her control. Michelle that damned villainess made fun of me for this all the time.

"You can't even control your magic and you're attending a magic academy? Know your place!"

That was what she had said to me before.

She's right though. I only got into the academy because of my parents and not because of my own powers. Thus, I must work harder to prove that I deserve to be in that place. Even though my family has tried to hire many tutors across the country for me, many of them said that I was hopeless so they just gave up on me. Tragic indeed. I haven't lost my hope though, it's still too early to give up.

I refused to go outside for the entire summer break due to what had happened during the graduation so I avoided all the invitations I received over the summer.

======

Time went quicker than I expected and here I was standing in front of the mirror.

Long eyelashes with big round pink eyes. Beautiful long straight blonde hair. A small face with good body proportions. The girl was just gorgeous.

Sometimes I look into the mirror for a long time not believing that this is me. I can't recall how I looked in my past life but I'm 100% sure that I did not look as good as this.

Apart from the beautiful face, I had my new school uniform on. I wore a pink sweater over my white buttoned shirt along with the black blazer. The blazer had a small gold name plate on it which wrote "Mya Chambers". I tied my bow and twirled around in front of the mirror with the black skirt I had on.

"It would be nice if Mya was the main character. Much more depth than the Mary Sue female lead" I laughed.

*Knock Knock*

"It's me"

"Come on in Mother" I replied.

The door opened and my mother came in.

"Did you pack everything? You have your important items with you right?" Mother asked.

I nodded and picked up my suitcase. I'll be moving into the dorms due to how far I lived from Tunder Academy.

I walked downstairs with my mother. Before I left the mansion, my mother smiled and said,

"Stay safe my dear. Although your father isn't here to send you off as he's busy, he told me to give you this"

She handed me a small box. Inside the box, there was a ring with a magic jewel.

"Wear the ring. If you meet any sort of danger, just take the ring off and say your full name three times, okay?" She said.

"Yes, mother. Thank you two for worrying about me" I smiled in response.

I grabbed my suitcase and gave it to the driver. He put the luggage in the back of the car and we were ready to go. I said my farewells to my mother.

"I will come back to visit during the holidays so don't be too sad" I said.

My mother nodded as she sent me off with tears.

I sat inside the car and we headed towards Tunder Academy. A place that I did not choose to go to.

I could've had someone cast magic to teleport me there but just thinking about how nauseous I would be after the magic made me uncomfortable. Teleport magic came at a cost and many people chose to not use it due to its after-effects. It's still used during emergency cases but it is normally not utilized.

I sighed as I looked into the car windows.

Good luck Mya.
